I took in my reading glasses and they had a clever machine that could measure the strength of the lens in a matter of seconds. Although I don't think I'm dyslexic, I do find that black text on white background is a strain on my eyes as the text appears as if a halo surrounds them and words can move about a little. I asked if coloured lens may help and I had Colorimetry test to see if coloured overlay would help with the problem. I found, after trying several different colours, that some colours did ease the problem and now use an coloured overlay on text books and also tape it to my computer screen.
