I visit this establishment whenever I am in the area. It is a Pub that specialises in Asian/Indian food; not a restaurant. The food is fast , cheap, and of the highest possible quality you can get for the price. The menu is extensive, and the turnover of customers is rapid. You go in, have your drink and food and you go out! The place is always jam-packed at lunch time with local business people who don't have time to waste. The staff are pleasant enough, but equally, don't have time for chit-chat, as this is a tightly run ship. My favourite for value for money and taste.

I have been going to this Indian pub since ~1999 & nothing has changed since.
The food is excellent, although I do feel it is closer to that eaten by Indian families opposed to your typical High St offerings. The prices are cheap and the amount of food served & options offered are plenty. From the outside it looks like a tiny old fashioned back street pub, to be honest I would drive right by without ever going inside, it is not my normal choice, based on appearance, but I was taken there back in 99 by a friend and have never looked back. Once inside you are greeted by a small old fashioned pub, but the further you go in, the bigger it gets.
The menus are chalked up around the pub with daily lunch time offerings and specials, all at VERY good prices. My daughter went for the chicken tikka with chips, but it was too hot for her, I ate it and I must agree it was hot, but for me, lovely. I love this place and visit it whenever possible.

I have been to the Vine twice, once was a match day and I had a few pints along with some chicken tikka and chips, they have sport on the screens and it was a very good day.
So I went back and took my girlfriend a week later, got a table and order a starter from the grill, I then went round to the bar to order my main (for some reason you have to order separately) bit of a pain but wasnt too fussed. When ordering the starter they said come back in 10 mins to collect, which I did but there was a queue of people at that point, so I waited in line got to the counter and my food wasnt ready, they had evidently sold it to someone in the queue, 25 mins later after standing and waiting my food was ready, needless to say my curry I ordered from the bar had been on the table 15 minutes by the time I got back.
I started to eat my chicken tikka starter, which was so good on my previous visit and it was raw inside, pink and bloody, I then had an upset stomach the next day.
So my conclusion is that the curry was epic, really good, the starters are amazing when they are cooked properly, but the staff are unorganised and raw chicken is unnaceptbale.

Went to the vine for a cheap curry before going to a concert . On arrival I thought ( what an old Victorian pub on an industrial estate ) Walking in the place was buzzing 5 0'clock on a Friday young old black white I thought this place is popular . there was no menu on the table it was all on a blackboard . I ordered my food at the bar it arrived hot and plentyfull within 10 mins and the flavours of the food were simply sublime . I've definitely gotta go back to try something else on the blackboard only problem is its a 40 mile round trip but well worth it .

I found out about the vine by reading the reviews on tripadvisor. I decided that it had to be visited whilst we were staying in West Bromwich. I wasn't disappointed, as others have said the barbequed chicken tikka was extremely good, and very good value for money.

The Vine is well known far and wide due to its popularity with visiting football fans who use it when visiting WBA's Hawthorns ground. On those occasions it gets pretty packed but the quality never varies. The chicken, fish and kebabs are cooked in front of you on charcoal grills. The value is immense.

We have nothing like this where I live. We went after a footie match on the recommendation of staff at premier inn and loved it. You walk in and think "how will this place cope, it's tiny" but it opens out like a tardis. Then I got a big shock looking for a seat to discover a full on indoor BBQ going on with gorgeous looking chicken kebabs being cooked up. I wanted to fill my face but couldn't as had a meal booked at hotel. So just tried a cheeky kebab on its own and it was lush. If I ever am back this way again, I will be coming here.

Having had the BBQ food at The Vine for 15 years or so, we finally got round to trying a curry on our latest visit last week. Although it is most famous in the area for the indoor Indian BBQ, it also serves great traditional curries.
It was a Thursday night, and as ever, The Vine was packed. It seems to have become more popular every year.
We both had a curry and rice, and shared some spicy chips and a naan. The curries were lovely, with a very spicy creamy sauce. The pilau rice was exceptional.
We did share one plate of BBQ chicken, and it was way too hot - far more hot and spicy than usual. Hopefully this was a one-off !!!
The Vine is a unique place, and is always worth a visit if you love Indian food and are in the area. The food there is fantastic.....

Had a very good curry. Liked the way you can "create" what curry you want. Very reasonable prices and good atmosphere

We visit the Vine every three months and meet up for lunch .The daily specials are fantastic and
well priced - the flavours are amazing .These are 'home ' cooked dishes and are of the best curries to be eaten anywhere in the UK .The combination of the spicy food and great real ales make it for me and my friends a very special occasion - the only downside is the three months wait until we visit again !

From the outside it just looks like pub in a street of terraced houses but it is so much more. Upon entering you realise It is a little 'Tardis' like and seems to go back for a long way. That's because it does, a number of different rooms small and large (where did they come from?). The choice of (asian) food seems endless from traditional dishes to barbecue specialities. It is all very competitively priced and portions are generous.
It's worth avoiding on matchdays (West Bromwich Albion) as it gets very busy but well worth a visit.

My partner and I came in here before the football match, our first time in West Bromwich and The Vine had been recommended on a football site. Initially from the outside I though 'oh blimey where are we' but inside I was struck by the really friendly atmosphere despite home and away fans all being together.
We had the bbq for lunch - chicken tikka and naan. Food was top notch. The staff were all really friendly too.
After the footie we couldn't decide where to eat and on going to reception to ask for recommendations The Vine was given, so we decided to head back there in the evening.
Although there were lots of curries and the like on the boards we again went for the bbq! This time we tried maki chicken (i think), tilapai and tikka again. All fab.
It is so nice to go somewhere where the staff are friendly. We have lived in the Cotswolds for 6 years and can barely get a smile from the bar staff in our local pubs, despite at one time going most weeks! At The Vine the staff remembered our drinks from the incredibly busy lunchtime when the pub was packed with footie supporters!
All in all I would say, if you are in the are The Vine is a must.
