Beautiful and big park. Surprisingly well looked after considering how big it is. Park and water area for kids while the adults sneak a cheeky ice cream. Often has events and promotes dog walking and health activities. There's a new cafe type area now which still needs updating but they're still working on it. The place deserves a green flag!

The arboretum is an oasis of green space close to the town centre. It's undergoing improvement works at the moment, with a new visitor centre and refurbished boat house. It's a fantastic place that the town is rightly proud of.

Beautiful park. A credit to Walsall - particularly a credit to the park staff who work hard to keep it looking superb.
Recent lottery funded improvements have enhanced the park immensely. money well spent.
New visitor centre and very nice cafe add to the ambience. Nice outdoor terrace - great for dog walkers.
One of best childrens' play areas I have ever seen - including new "watersplash" facility.
Regular programme of events in the park and the bandstand.
All round, well worth a visit.

Beautiful gardens, large open spaces, 2 lakes (one where fishing is allowed, permits available), a new visitor center with cafe and a lovely play park with water play fountains for the little ones, skateboard area for the older ones, tennis court, and plenty of places to walk and play. All in all a very nice place for all the family to enjoy.

In recent years the Arboretum has had a big update. It looks better than ever, it's always really well kept and it's perfect for an afternoon on the sun.

A well cared for arboretum. It's a shame the illuminations have gone but it's understandable considering the cost. A great place to take the family to play or simply to relax and walk. It's an oasis from the world around.

Pack a picnic and off you go! We spent the day at the park, as the weather was good. My toddlers enjoyed being able to walk safely along the paths to the treasure island play area. The splash pad was working so we put on our swim suits and spent time running through the sprinklers. We got dry, had lunch, went for a walk down to the boating lake feed the ducks and swans. The new visitors centre has good facilities too.
Easily accessible by road, bus, train as not far out of town. Ample parking.

Quiet corner of Walsall that takes the stress away from the town centre. Walsall has a long way to go but the Arboretum looks the part, adding a sense of calm and quiet for Walsall!

Lovely park just out of Walsall town centre. Nice gardens with a lake and plenty of ducks, geese and swans that the children enjoyed watching and feeding. Only a short walk from there to the play area which is lovely with plenty of equipment for children to use.

The Arboretum is a very therapeutic place to visit and I look forward to the Visitor centre opening soon. There is a lovely walk around the lake and park and also beyond the extension, along the canal which is very pretty.

A wonderful park, with lots of various areas for a different activities. Playground, water feature, walks, bike rides, sporting games, eg. football. The only thing i would improve on is the catering side. needs food and drink eateries. :) well done Walsall.

We enjoy visiting this park, it has lovely grounds, a lake and a nice park. Never used the swimming area however it looks as though it would be fun for younger children.

Every time we visit there seems to be groups of teenagers causing problems which is a shame as it is a nice park.

I have visited walsall arboretum on many occasions & it is so lovely to have on your doorstep especially when your a dog owner.

The grounds are rather vast, they are separate by different lakes which you can feed Ducks/geese. Various gardened areas with lovely plants & shrubbery.

The further you get inside the Arboretum you will find tennis courts, a large play area & skate park.
On a summers day it's lovely to take your family or friends there to relax or have a stroll around.

Given how close the Arboretum is to the town centre (less than half a mile), it is a beautifully arranged park with 2 lakes, the 'main' one of which is quite big. The Arboretum starts off as a fairly 'formal' park with garden areas but it then extends to a more 'uncultured' area (Arboretum Extension) and eventually, you could walk into greenbelt. In the 'Extension', there is a playground for young children.

Spring flowers just coming through. Whole place very tidy. Plenty big enough for a lovely stroll. Visits here in the summer months when the weather is warmer is more pleasant, but it is still nice to be out in the fresh air here.
