In my opinion this family run butchers is the best in town. The Richard and Ashley are both highly skilled butchers and nothing is to much trouble for them. They have a fine selection of top quality meats and other produce on sale. If you need something that they have not got, they can generally get it for you. In house pies and pasties, top notch faggots and advice on preparing the food as well. If you are after a decent friendly butcher, whose goods way out class the supermarkets then this is the one for you.

I have lost track of how many years ago I discovered this butchers shop, but I have been a committed regular customer from my first visit.
In these days of supermarket dominance, it is great that there is still a high class butchers in the town.
Anyone reading this whose experience in meat buying is limited to the pre-packed shelves of the big stores and so might be worried that they would not know how to ask for the meat they need in a traditional butchers should have no concerns. Richard, Ashley and the crew are only too happy to help.
