It is very reassuring to know that your solicitor doesn't hide behind layers of secretaries, that he answers his own emails and is available to talk to. I was truly amazed by the speed at which he handled queries - usually on the same day - and stunned that he didn't ask for a penny above our agreed price even though the work had substantially increased, involving one failed sale and a ton of unexpected photocopying (which he did himself, at no notice, in order to help me look for insurance on an underpinned property)
