We went on a short break with some friends and had an enjoyable time at this hotel. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in answering any of our requests.

We booked with a fantastic deal of staying for £40 per couple per night, which provided excellent value.

Rooms were clean and unlike many hotels the windows opened, meaning you could get fresh air into the room. All 3 couples in our group said they slept very well in the facilities and we experienced no problems at all.

Many in our group were vegetarians and there could have been slightly more choice for vegetarians on the bar and restaurant menus, but we all managed to find something we enjoyed. The food was really well presented and cooked well.

Four of us die hard Sunderland supporters stayed overnight at this hotel 05/01. The hotel is integrated into the Reebok stadium. Car parking was no problem at all with sufficient spaces for everyone. The stadium if travelling from the north is easy to find. We travelled down the M6 leaving the motorway at J30. We then turned left onto the M61 and as you approach J6 the stadium is clearly visible on the left. On pulling into the car park helpful staff directed us to the area where hotel guests park. There was more than enough parking areas for hotel gusets free of charge. Once inside the hotel reception staff checked and we were allowed to use our rooms from on arrival , which was around 11am, which we were not supposed to check in until 2pm. We were allowed to use the leisure fascillities on arrival even if we did not have our rooms straight away. The hotel is of a high standard and the staff were friendly and absolutely spot on.

The rooms were of a very good standard and the hotel was spotless. We paid £39.00 for a double room. Best £35.00 i have spent.

The bar prices are reasonable and the food which was well priced looked fine. We did not eat at the hotel as on the doorstep their is a Frankie & Bennys, Macdonalds, KFC, Tesco etc all within a two minute walk.

For away supporters the location could not have been better. The entrance / exit doors of the hotel are about 20 metres from the turnstiles.

I would definitely recommend this hotel not only football supporters but visitors to Bolton.

Just to finish the hotel even before and after the game had a quiet relaxed atmosphere we no rowdiness whatsoever. Will definitely use the hotel again.

We stayed for the sunderland fa cup game, as sunderland fans we love this hotel for an away game guttered Bolton are not in the premier league now!

Great little bar although quite pricey, bar food was great, Leisure facilities really good. staff really helpful. Great friendly atmosphere in bar before /after match.

We went to a fab Indian Sai Spice cost £12 to get there in taxi, well worth it.

Hope to see Bolton promoted so we can come down again!

we stayed on 2nd jan 13 and enjoyed our stay very much. we booked on line at de vere web site and paid £39.00 room only. . check in was easy and when we got to our room , i rang receptiona nd asked was there a c hance if we could have a room with a pitch view. no problem was the reply and within 10 mins we had been upgraded free to a pitch view room. the room was faultless with a stunning view of the pitch. staff were very ffriendly and professional and they should be praised for thier warm welcome. we were made to feel very special and for that we are very grateful. blonde lady at check in was very accommodating and thankyou for our room. we did not eat at the hotel but what we saw we liked the look of. there is plenty to do and we used the swimming pool which was great . pool was not too cold and the hot tub and sauna were perfect . will definetly stay here again and we are looking to book next jan. travelled as a couple.

We ended our year of travelling in Britain with a little touch of luxury overlooking Bolton Reebok Stadium football ground. We paid next to nothing for this overnight stay so our expectations were not high. What we found was a bright, welcoming foyer with pleasant smart staff. Our room was comfortable with a nice ensuite. We even got free bottled water (it was provided recently at Manchester Hilton with a price tag of over £3 a bottle) The spa was great with a nice pool and good sauna and steam room, very clean and well kept. We met a friend there in one of the comfortable public rooms and enjoyed pots of tea with good personal service from the bar.
I would recommend this hotel for meeting up with friends and as an overnight treat

pros. Breakfast and comfy bed
cons very expensive bar, poor bathroom, water pressure nil in shower, surrounding bedrooms over occupied and thus very noisy which the hotel needs to manage particularly if they are hosting big events. Vast amounts of chewing gum all over the floor near the entrance into looked really grubby.

Recently stayed for one night on Christmas party, although have stayed on a few other occasions. The overall experience was very good with nothing major to complain about. The hotel is quite modern and lively at this festive time. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. The bedroom was a disapointment being very small although clean, tidy, and lacking nothing - except space. The gym and pool were very good. The bar area exceptional although drinks quite expensive for an out of town hotel. Location ideal for motorways with short distance to Bolton or Manchester town centres. Breakfast was fine and christmas party was exceptional.

Overall very good and will stay again.

Visited the Reflections restaurant for my nephews 21st having travelled up from Bournemouth. Room and table overlooks the BW pitch and is a spectacular view. Since there was no game on, it meant we had the whole room to ourselves. Team at DeVere's were excellent - super friendly and very accomodating. Nothing was to much trouble - even allowing the birthday boy to chose whatever he fancied to eat was a really nice touch. The whole group felt well looked after - and with nobody pushing us to leave - it was relaxed afternoon with the whole family who do not get together very often. I was secretly wondering if we would be made to feel like second class citizens since were not premier league players - but reality couldnt have been further from the truth. Service was very good and shout outs for Beth Mason, Emma Murray, Katie Voce and another female colleague (didnt get the name, but dark hair if it helps) from the bar who ran back and forth looking after our every drink need. Food was good lunchtime fare -though not spectacular which was the only slight negative - but that didn't really matter since the whole experience was terrific. Thank you for a memorable afternoon.

I stayed here for one night and have stayed here before.

This is an imposing building which forms part of the Reebok stadium. Some of the rooms overlook the pitch, as does the restaurant. Eating in the restaurant was an odd experience. The food was, perhaps, slightly better than a Toby Carvery, but only just. The service seemed hurried. As the restaurant was nowhere near capacity, this seemed unnecessary.

The place is just beginning to look a little worn at the edges now. The bar prices are, as one would expect, on the hefty side. Most of the guests here during the week are not paying out of their own pocket though. The bar was sticky and need wiping.

Breakfast is buffet style and the range of food on offer is OK, but could only be described as 'warm'. The glass I used for my orange juice was stuck to the surface, which tells me that cleanliness was not thorough.

The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. The shower blasts hot water properly and the towels were a good size and fresh. My only gripe here is that a cathode ray television sits where a flat screen should be. It is nearly 2013!.

By and large then, this hotel is adequate. Nothing to write home about, but if all you want is a meal and a bed for the night, it will do.

Stayed here a few times when De Vere have there special offers on rooms. A night away in a nice hotel for £19 room only is very good. Clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. Rooms are nice and beds comfortable. Small swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Good shopping development behind with plenty of places to eat and a large Vue cinema. Not too far away from Manchester and if you like football you'll love the restaurant with it's view over the pitch!!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel because of a deal they had sent us. The hotel was in an excellent position for either watching Bolton play football or for wandering around the middlebrook shopping centre. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very varied with a lot of choice. If any more deals come our way we would not hesitate to go back to this hotel for maybe more than one night. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool and jaccuzzi were very clean and not busy either.

First thing I noticed was the very large room. The hospitality tray was spot on. The room was clean but some very minor things let it down. We stayed in room 104, the picture frame has what looks to be tin foil around it and its coming part quite badly. The bed isnt the comfiest. Its 2 x single beds put together and i found myself falling between the two! My backs a bit sore this morning.
However the staff are excellent, the lady on the reception was very helpful and friendly as were the staff who made our lovely hot chocolates before bed. I will be staying again.

The hotel is integrated in the Reebok stadium, easy to find and plenty parking. Reception is friendly and check-in quick. They respected my request for a quiet room.
Rooms are quite spacious, have a chair and the bathroom is functional.
There's a bar and a large lounge area. All drinks need to be ordered at the bar and payed directly. The restaurant has booths overlooking the stadium. Staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. The food is well cooked and on the winelist every one can find something.
Buffet breakfast was good.

I have always booked hotels based on Trip Advisor ratings however following a recent stay in Egypt which certainly did not live up to it's Trip Advisor rating I was a little concerned relying on it this time. I couldn't fault this hotel, staff were most helpful and friendly, the breakfast had everything you could want and it was all fresh and warm. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and very good condition considering the hotel is not new. The location is brilliant, loads of choices for meals within walking distance. We took the train into Manchester for less than £4 pp return, the station is only a 5 minute walk from hotel. Our first stay in a De Vere hotel and it certainly won't be our last

We had the opportunity to stay at the De Vere Whites hotel while our son attended a soccer competition. The hotel was booked to capacity between participants and regular guests. There was also a game that weekend. The hotel is built right into Reebok Stadium, the home of the Bolton Wanderers. The staff were simply amazing. They went out of their way to make sure the guests were accommodated and they couldn't have been any nicer. We were always greeted with a smile. I have stayed in other hotels that were at full capacity, and it was obvious. Not so here. The room was marvelous as well. We were given penthouse suite which has a separate bedroom adjacent to a living room area with a sleeper sofa which our boys used. The bathroom was spacious and there was even a towel warmer! We never had the chance to use the Spa facilities. The hotel is also within an easy walk of shopping. There is also a delightful breakfast served every morning. We will stay here again if we have the opportunity.

Booked this hotel last min as working in Bolton. Looked good on Internet but even better when I saw it for myself! Lovely place to stay. Asked for a quiet room as there just for work& couldn't believe it when I got a room which looked straight onto the stadium football pitch( no one playing at time I may add) but didn't expect the view as my window was from wall to wall . Room large & comfy. Only thing I can really fault was the tv was old& not flat screen. But that didn't really bother me so just being picky as room was very good . Reception staff very accommodating. Will certainly use this hotel again.

My husband & myself stayed two nights in this hotel, First room we were offered had no window which i thought might be a bit claustraphobic,I brought this to the attention of reception staff who immediatly moved us to the amazing room overlooking the stadium..which we loved!!!!The breakfast was very good also room very clean..The staff were great, especially girls on reception, really friendly...The glass lift was also good.My husband would have liked a flat screen tv in room.... we enjoyed our trip to Trafford Centre .We will definatly use this hotel again. 22/10/12

I stayed here on business recently and couldn't fault it. I got a great deal, a pitch view room and contrary to some other guest reviews, I thought the whole place was clean, modern and very well maintained. Put it another way, it was much better than my experience at a couple of other De Vere hotels I've stayed in recently.

Stayed here for a short break with my husband and two teenage daughters. We took advantage of their £19.00 per room sale. The hotel is located next to a retail park with restaurants, cinema, shops and 24 hour Asda and Tesco (there is a small beauty salon in Tesco).. We did not eat at the hotel as I am not prepared to pay the prices they ask for breakfast (this is how they make up their money). If you don't like football, the Trafford Centre is only half an hours drive away with masses of shops and leisure activities (indoor real snow skiing, etc.)

Our accommodation was clean and the minor extras, like bottled water and biscuits, were still provided despite the rate we were paying. Clean towels were provided daily although we didn't necessarily need them changing. For environmental reasons, perhaps they should put notices in bathrooms (like I have seen in other hotels) which suggest that towels that need changing should be put in the bath.

One minor gripe is the noise of the hotel lift. As we live in the country, we are used to silence. Our bedroom (611) was the nearest room to the lift and the noise tends to start at 6am ish and becomes less frequent at midnight (we arrived on a Sunday and left Wednesday). The traffic noise was not as loud as the lift.

Given the facilities in the area and the price was paid, we would definitely return.

From the moment we arrived till the moment we left the staff were excellent. My child was sick in the room and the sheets were changed within 5 minutes at half 3 in the morning. Staff tried to up grade me to a room overlooking the pitch and were very nice about it.

We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel and both were excellent. The pool could be a little warmer but the facilities were more than adequete.

My wife was a little reluctant to go as its attached to the stadium ad she thought it would be all about that, now she cant wait to go back. S

So handy for me coming down from Glasgow as it straight off the motorway and very handy for the nearby Trafford Centre.

Highly recommended

I stayed here in mid- August for two nights: my pre-wedding night and my wedding night as we got married at Rivington Hall Barn, which isn't too far away. If you were having or attending a wedding at the venue (which is completely fabulous), then this hotel is well positioned. It'll cost about £15-20 in a taxi.

I had a penthouse room because I needed the space! It consisted of a lounge, bedroom and bathroom and is basically double the size of a standard room. I thought the bathroom in particular was lovely, plenty of space for me and my girls to do our make-up and get ready. The room would probably benefit from a full length mirror- although it does have a long mirrored panel it is made up of two seperate mirrors so you cant quite see properly at the join. After saying that though, its not a big deal and I doubt that the majority of people (non-brides!) would even register that there is no single full length mirror and I would not let this affect my rating.

Although typically for UK hotels, there are no safes in the rooms, you can use that in the office on request as we did.

We did not advise the hotel in advance that we were a wedding party although I think a few things may have given it away (the guests, the cars, the flowers, the dress!) and all staff seemed to make a special effort to be even more pleasant once they were aware of this. Special mention to Chris who served me and my husband complementary bucks fizz with our breakfast the following day and presented us with the cork with a pound in it, which he explained is a tradition in his family - thank you Chris it was very kind and thoughtful.

I had called De Vere in advance to see if they could do any deals for a wedding party based on multiple rooms but I was told that this wasnt the case. This possibly worked out in favour of our guests as a lot of people managed to book through laterooms or booking.com and get significant discounts on standard rooms. Just bare this in mind if you are looking to purchase multiple rooms- keep your eyes peeled, The offers came up a few times over an 7 month period.

I stayed here for business early October 2012. I had booked via laterooms, which was fine and was told on arrival that I had actually had my room upgraded, free of charge (always a good starting point). So I stayed in one of the Junior Suite's on the 6th floor.

The room was a good size and had all the usual facilties.

The only negative I would make is that the rooms are slighlty dated, but I imagine they have been kept the same since it was first built. Despite this, they were lovely and clean and all the bathroom had all the products suppled.

The breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of variety to cater for all dietary needs.

Despite being upgraded, I still felt it was a little expensive (1 nights stay, with breakfast on a Wednesday evening in October was £120+) but overall was more than satisfied with my stay.

Booking the rooms was poor. We booked a twin and a double via LateRoom.com which was fine.
When we checked with the hotel, we were told that only one room had been booked, so booked an additional room. I rang LateRoom.com, who were surprised and rang the hotel, confirming the original booking with them. I rang the hotel to cancel the third room, and they had no knowledge of it!
The parking was fine even on match day, but that may be a reflection of playing the first division.
The hotel itself is spacious, modern, and clean. The rooms are not large but everything is there. The pictures on the walls look like they have been knocked together by local primary school however.
Breakfast buffet is reasonable, the usual bacon, eggs and sausages etc. that you get in British hotels. Alas the coffee was tepid, and cheap tasting.
Hats off the the guy who was manning the spa, who couldn't have been helpful. The spa itself is worthy of a visit, with sauna, pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc.
Overall, we would go back, as there is nothing better that I am aware in the vicinity.
