My husband and I stayed at this hotel with our two sons (10 & 13) for an overnight stay while visiting family in the area. When the hotel was booked with our travel agent we were told the double and twin rooms would be interconnecting but on arrival these rooms were simply adjacent and to be honest I was too tired to complain. The standard of the rooms was excellent, exactly as you would expect from a modern hotel. Staff were friendly and the breakfast which was included in the price was first class. All in all a nice experience and I would definately stay here again, hopefully next time I would have time to try out the spa.

stayed here with the family for a weekend - double and a twin room - booked direct with the hotel website on their advanced saver rate and a room was about £70 B&b - Hotel is well located and if u like football, ideal - we went to the Bolton Chelsea game on the sunday and the convenience of it all is fab - also enjoyed the hotels leisure suite - upon arrival the reception staff assured us that breakfast was from 730-1030 at weekends and this suited perfectly as we had a late night out on the saturday - when we got to our rooms about 2am on Sun morn we found a typed note to state that we had to get to breakfast for 0930 as this was match day - I took this up later with reception who were adament that they had done their bit to inform guests of the earlier breakfast but this was annoying as we wanted a lie in and knew nothing until we got to our rooms - I then asked if we could keep our room until midday as check out was at 11am but again there was no flexibility and they refused - I like this hotel and this is my 2nd visit, the room decor is getting a little tired but the general atmosphere and ambience is 4 star - the location is excellent for the Horwich shopping area for the motorways and Manchester but I think there is room for improvement - breakfast was lovely

Stayed at the hotel for a hen night weekend. Even though the hotel was full with wedding guests the staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Buffet breakfast was lovely. Would defiantly stay here again - was excellent value for money :-)

Got a really good price for the Saturday night as we were watching a game at the Reebok on the Sunday.

The reception/lounge and bar are pretty trendy in an airy open plan layout. Not a great friendly check in. The rooms were okay, net curtains a bit off colour but generally acceptable as we only paid £65.00.

Breakfast was busy but okay, bar service was incredibly slow. But alot of the staff were friendly some showing us the rooms looking out onto the pitch which looked terrific. the pool and leisure area was good with helpful staff. Check out was friendlier and parking good right near the hotel/ground and plenty of shops right near by for us ladies!

Would go again at the price, and Bolton won!

Stayed here for the Bolton v Man U game, had a pitchview room which was great! Can recommend.

Food in Reflections is A1, as is service.
Brasserie only so-so but not terrible either.
Leisure facilities clean and all in working order.
Bar staff just fab no matter what time of the day.
Breakfast can be a bit of a struggle, depending on what time you get there.
If you are a footie fan get yourself a pitchview room!

We have stayed in a number of Devere Hotels and have never been disappointed by them.

Generally find the staff very professional, respectful and helpful and this hotel was no different.

Our room was large and comfortable, dinner in the restuarant was very nice and well presented, although service was a bit slow, however we were in no hurry.

This hotel is very popular with Bolton fans - we arrived on the day of the Man. Utd. game.

Hotel is a bit unusual but was good, mind you not as pleasant a location as some other Devere hotels.

I stayed at the De Vere Whites in May 2006. The hotel has a different set up as it is the front of a football stadium. However inside it does feel spacious. The reception staff are pleasant but seem to be easily overwhelmed as sometimes there can be only one on reception. The rooms are clean and standard. The food in the restaurant is OK. I have stayed there before mid week when a football match has been on. The place can get swamped with football supporters both inside and outside the hotel before and after the actual match. The bar might be a bit busy in the evening but they do have staff on the front door to control non-residents from wandering in. However I have never found the evening football match a problem. The only risk is that you might not find a car parking space if you arrive at kick off.

Modern hotel, not cutting edge, but smart and well presented. Buzzy atmosphere, built right into the stadium.

My room was a pitch view room, with an inspiring view out over the stadium - a great experience. Rooms are comfortable. I ordered room service twice and found the service flexible and friendly and the food good quality.

Amazing conference space at this hotel.

Only negative comment was that reception staff were a little too casual, but still friendly and helpful.

fantastic stay at this hotel, the hotel decor was nice the bedroom was great, clean and warm. staff were friendly and helpful. the hotel has 2 restuarants one the over looks the bolton pitch (formal wear) and another one next to the bar (for casual wear). the food was nice but there wasnt alot of choice on the menu.
i would definatly recommend this hotel to anyone , but get a rate over the internet, the hotel reservations dont negotiate the wouldnt budge from £90 for a double, but i got it for £60 (Bargin)

nice hotel new clean and a nice feel to the hotel.friendly staff and had no problem when we had been given a smoking room instead of non smoking changed with no hassle. however standard rooms have no air conditionig and terribly hot in august guess it wouldnt be a problem the majority of the time. the swimming pool and steam room was lovely. breakfast was good although slow in putting out fresh food. overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay and excellent value for the price we paid.

We stayed at the De Vere Whites for a Saturday night (not Bolton match day) in August. We got a really good deal - not much more expensive than the Travel Inn down the road, but in a different league quality wise.

The room was a good size, neat and clean. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection, and the gym facilities were compact but not overly busy.

Like all large hotels, it couldn't claim to have great character, but if you're looking to stay in the area on business, or get a good deal on leisure stay, it's a good option.

Having stayed at this hotel on several occasions I have to say that the staff are just brilliant!
I have visited the hotel on football match days and outside the season and have to comment that the service standards are consistently good no matter how busy they are! Nothing is too much trouble and the rooms are nicely furnished and laid out.
Leisure facilities are good too, for a treat try the fine dining Reflections restaurant; where staff are attentive and interested!
Last time we were there met lots of footballers at breakfast who spent time signing autographs and posing for pics!

I visited the hotel for a 1 night stay with my 12 year old son. There was ample parking and we could park very close to the hotel. Checking in was no problem at all with attentive friendly staff and we were offered help with our luggage. Our room on the 1st floor was modern, clean and well presented with good facilities. It was a bit cold when we arrived but the heating was controllable by thermostat on the radiator so no problem.

The leisure facilities were compact but clean and well maintained and supervised. There are restricted access times for children (9am- 12 and 2pm-6) but that wasn't a problem.

The public areas were very modern and quite attractively furnished and lit although I wasn't too keen on the fake rocks and flowers in the Brasserie!

Breakfast was buffet style with a wide range of hot and cold food to choose from. The food was fresh and was regularly replenished. When we visited the hotel seemed very quiet and there were few other people at breakfast.

We didn't use the Brasserie or the hotel resturant for our evening meal as there are many food outlets on the retail park just behind the hotel, but the Resturant looked very pleasant with some of the tables having views of the football pitch. The staff were happy for us to view the pitch from the restaurant outside of opening hours.

Check out was quick and efficient.

All in all a good experience.

The lesuire facilites were excellent with swimming pool, sauna, steam room and towels were all provided free of charge. All in all an excellent hotel definatley worth a visit.
