I stayed recently whilst travelling for business and the parking, location near the motorway, and meeting areas and facilities are very good.

the rooms were good and offered everything needed, no major issues with cleanliness however there are considerable wear and tear issues with many fittings, door frames, carpets, walls etc which do detract significantly from the property.

Everything that is offered up in terms of space and comfort for meetings from the lobby and upper bistro area are sadly let slip by pretty shoddy attitude and service generally from reception to the wait and bar staff.

The menu on offer in the restaurant during the day is rather limited and excruitiatingly expensive for what is served up, the ham and cheese toastie, poorly executed on average over cooked bread is a good example at over a tenner for it with a soft drink!

I would need to debate with myself if the easy parking and comfort and space of the venue for meetings and a stop in to do some work and get lunch is worth the attitude from staff and price.

Worth one more try certainly but that's it.

I recently booked this hotel purposely to watch my team play Bolton.I thought it would make a nice change for me and my partner instead of watching in the freezing cold.

When I rang up I was informed that pitch side rooms are usually £95 but due to a problem with the room temperature they were now £80.So I went ahead and booked one.

Upon arrival I was asked if we had come to watch the football when I said yes they said there was an EXTRA £70 to be paid otherwise they would close the shutters!!!!
I thought this was a blatant rip off.
On top of that breakfast was extra!!!!

The rooms were ok nothing special just standard hotel fare.Obviously on match day the whole place gets really busy.

I feel like we were mis sold the room and it left a bit of a sour taste in our mouth.

Stayed here for 1 night on business. The hotel is easy to find (being built-in to the football stadium!) There's plenty free parking. Check-in was friendly and efficient. Lift to room on 5th floor. Room was spacious and comfortable, but the carpet in particular was showing signs of age, but OK. Decent water pressure in shower, decent bathroom. The large bar area is modern and there's various seating areas with multiple TV screens around. The bar itself wasn't so well stocked and the Guinness didn't taste right to me, but was just about OK. I didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that. On the whole, it's a very decent place to stay. I can imagine it being a very different experience if Bolton Wanderers are playing at home!

Stayed here on a recent trip to Bolton. Managed to book into a Penthouse Suite for two nights at a very reasonable rate. Room was very large, with plenty of cupboards, a spacious bathroom with separate shower and two basins, excellent facilities (tea, coffee and biscuits & great iron and ironing board as well as a trouser press), bathrobes and slippers, two TV's (one in the lounge area and another in the bedroom). Bed was King Size. This was ok for my wife (she is 5'3") but at over 6'2", it would've been better if the bed had been Super King Size, but as we were only staying for two nights, this was not a problem. Service at the restaurant and the quality of food was excellent, especially considering we arrived at 10pm. Room service was great - full cooked breakfast, nicely cooked and lots of extras, including a generous coffee pot, fruit juice and lots of condiments, adding a nice touch. Hairdresser and Spa/Health fitness facilities available (my wife booked in advance of our arrival and took advantage of the Hairdresser which she really rated). A spacious lobby with lots of free parking right outside the main door and within 2 minutes of the main motorway. We'll be back!

Have stayed here a couple of times now over the past couple of years and still highly recommend it as a great hotel. Rooms are very spacious and well appointed, clean and comfortable. Plenty of on site parking. Breakfast is great and there is plenty of room so it doesn't feel chaotic. Staff very helpful. Thank you :)

The Whites is very convenient in terms of being five minutes walk from the train station. Five minutes from a cinema and restaurant complex. Five minutes from a business park. Oh yes its built into the side of Bolton Wanders stadium!

The rooms are nice but they aren’t going to be setting the world alight.

The breakfast was great, a very good selection.

I would definitely will go back if I’m in the area.

Good location hotel because very near to highway.
It is also my first experience staying in hotel that have a stadium view.

Some floors has several steps up that might be difficult when you bring lots of luggage or going with person who have difficulty in walking.

Rooms with stadium view are great but i am not sure whether it is available when there is a match since i stayed during off-season.

Overall, it is a good stay in Bolton Whites Hotel.

Rooms a bit tired but very comfortable, exceptionally well priced. Rooms would have benefitted from air conditioning as quite warm in summer weather - a fan was provided. Looks like communal areas (bar and restaurant) were currently being upgraded. Staff helpful but not very cheerful.

Stayed for a football match. Checked in 4 hours early which was a massive bonus as I traveled 4 hours to get there. Lovely & Stylish feel to the hotel. Clean with friendly staff. Room was nice, bed wasn't overly comfortable considering it's a 4* hotel. Got it for an amazing price considering it was a game weekend ( £49 ). Would certainly go back and will do for sure. Thanks Bolton whites hotel, shame Bolton didn't win but can't have it all haha

Nice communal areas but the room I stayed in needed a revamp. Bathroom had seen better days and furniture looked tired. Someone else's contact lens was on the side so it wasn't cleaned properly either

Air condition wasn't working in the room and it was a hot night. The staff were falling over themselves to get everything sorted at nearly midnight. Couldn't fault them. Beautiful room and made to feel thoroughly welcome.

It's a decent place to stay. I recommend a room that overlooks the pitch, it's a one of a kind experience that you won't soon forget.
