Stayed for two nights whilst visiting friends. Lovely clean hotel with a nice reception area and seating areas so you can sit and relax without having to sit in your room. Staff we dealt with were pleasant and friendly. We did not eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on the food or restaurants. Room was spacious and the bed was amazing, huge and very, very comfy!!! Nice bathroom and plenty of storage space in the room too, also included an iron and ironing board and also a fan!! Would stay here again and would recommend. Only disappointment was that there was a problem with the pool in the spa so could not use it, but not a big deal.

We stayed here for two nights prior to a wedding and were very pleased with location, ease of parking, friendly staff, room standard, public areas and the very good breakfast.
I also used the in house hairdresser, Wendy at Jiggis who was brilliant.
If you struggle to sleep with noise then avoid the rooms close to the lifts.

Stayed here for two nights on a great deal. The room was lovely, the bed was hard and I did not expect to sleep well on it but had two really good nights sleep. Plenty of storage in the room, which is quite unusual in hotels these days. The communal areas of the hotel were nice and kept very clean as was the room. Did not eat in the hotel at all so cannot comment on the food. Lovely lounging furniture to relax on. Would definitely stay at this hotel again. The only reason I did not give it 5/5 was because the pool was out of order so could not enjoy a swim.

Nice hotel. Ticked all the boxes. We stayed in a room looking out onto the pitch which was good. Staff were very friendly and well organised. The only downside was the food. The dinner was a very poor standard and the breakfast was worse. Pool was also very nice and clean.

Following on from our call earler, I just wanted to say thankyou very much for all that you did to help my dad's wake go smoothly.
From our first meeting when we came for quotes through to the day itself, the professionalism shown by yourself and the rest of the team was so much better than the other venues we considered, you made the whole process so much easier for us at a time of stress and on the day itself, the room, the food and all of the staff were great - it made a nice end to a hard day. Many of the people who attended also commented similarly. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the Macron to anyone wanting to hold a function.
Thanks once again for all of your help and support

Stayed here for 2 nights, with husband and two sons. Had a penthouse room , which meant a room for us, & a room for them with a sofa bed. Both rooms had televisions. Bathroom huge, toiletries provided. All clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Breakfast self service. Pool nice and warm, and towels available from reception. Hotel within walking distance of Horwich Parkway station, and there is a huge Tesco nearby.

Overall the hotel was good, the staff were well presented and polite at all time especially in the restaurant areas. My room was clean and tidy with a great view of the Macron stadium
I would definitely book this hotel again as it also gave me great access to Bolton centre

From the outside it looks very high class but unfortunately I didn't feel that once we got inside.we arrived quite late the girl on desk was very helpful and polite the reception area was very clean I hoped the room would be like the outside going off first impressions but yet again I was disappointed to find a rather standard looking room I will say though it was very clean and was suitable for our overnight stay im not sure I'd stay for more than 1 night though

I have stayed here numerous times for business, the staff are all very courteous, rooms are clean. The hotel offers ample parking, there is a gym with a pool that is free to all guests. Since my previous visit there has been some remodelling to public areas such as the bar and so it is safe to say the management are investing in the business maintaining high standards.

We had a two night stay recently and I would recommend a stay in this hotel. It was very reasonably priced for the facilities provided. The staff were friendly and helpful with the rooms being a decent size and clean. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast choosing from a large selection. Wifi was fast. I didn't use the gym, however I did use the pool and the sauna/steam rooms which although a little dated were perfectly fine .

This looks quite grand from the outside and from online photos, and I suppose that consequently gave me high expectations.

I suppose most people come here for the football. They'll probably be very happy. For us, it's just a hotel, which is good, but not quite up to those high expectations. Judging by the other reviews here, that's a general experience although you get the odd bad experience - which can happen anywhere.

The room was fine - well equipped.

Unusually for us, we didn't need any wifi, so I can't comment on whether it was good or not.

The leisure club is also well equipped although the gym was rather small - with a lot of different things in a small space. I think given the sports nature of the hotel I might have expected a rather larger leisure club. It was fine for an overnight, but I wouldn't join as a member if I lived locally.

Breakfast is ok - again - not great. Nothing wrong, but you might expect a little more choice from the buffet. A good view from the restaurant over the football pitch which is probably enough excitement if you're into that sort of thing.

It's over seven floors, and therefore the lifts are quite important. They have two lifts which are rather slow.

I stayed at this hotel on business and I wasn't impressed to start with. When I cam to check out though I realised it was only £70 for the night so that changed my view. For £70 it was actually quite good.

+ Lots of parking

+ Wifi was good

+ Room was basic but I had a really good nights sleep so can't complain.

+Breakfast was good for the price.

+ Black out curtains (not 100% but very good darkness!)

- Bathroom was clean but did need updating. It did seem grubby but more of an age thing than not being cleaned properly. The plug hole in the sink was not pleasant but it had clearly been cleaned well. There just becomes a point where an update is the only option.

- I got up at 5.30 to visit the gym before I had to work. There is a door next to reception to the gym which was locked. I got told by the guy on reception that it doesn't open until 6am and that the person working there would be in at 6. No problem. I went back down at 6.05 and the gym guy was on reception. I asked if the gym was open and he just asked me to write my name on a sheet of paper which was on reception and then I could go in. This annoyed me because if there's no need for tsomeone to be in the gym why not just leave it open! It's non good a receptionist telling me to wait for someone else to come in who is also going to stand behind reception - might as well just leave it open all the time.

- Gym was awful. It was tiny, roasting hot and old. But it was only £70 a night so it's not that bad.

- Rubbish iron. Looked like it should have been in a museum.

Overall a decent hotel for the price. I wouldn't want to pay any more and certainly wouldn't take the misses there unless I wanted a divorce but it was no problem for me.

Very nicely equipped modern hotel. Great value food and refreshments. The penthouse suites are individually designed and well worth paying extra for. A great place to relax for a weekend whether you are a football fan or not.

Arrived at hotel, staff efficient and attentive. Our allocated room looked over the Bolton Wanderers Football Ground which was great! The room was warm and very comfortable. Continental breakfast followed by a cooked breakfast was lovely.

I stayed here for two nights and found it to be an excellent, top-class hotel with all possible amenities and very high standards of cleanliness and service.
What really made it stand out was the view which opened onto the interior of the Macron Stadium. It was quite diverting to sit and watch the various teams training.
Also, even though the hotel is only a hundred yards from a very busy traffic interchange, the position of the room, looking into the stadium made it incredibly quiet. I slept like a log.
The breakfasts were excellent, although I didn't try out their restaurant as the hotel is situated a few minutes from a retail park with a plethora of good food establishments.

Great facilities, helpful front desk. Easy access to train station and shops. Rooms were of a good size, ours had a bit of a cleaning detergent smell but not a big deal. Really neat being attached to the stadium.

Amazing staff and a very clean hotel. Stayed for a night for my 3 year anniversary and I wish I had stayed longer. The view of the pitch from my room was amazing and the facilities were excellent. Will definitely be going again and would reccomend for any type of stay.

Overall, if we visited this area again we would stay at Bolton Whites Hotel as we found it very clean, tidy and the staff were very helpful. The food was lovely too! We didn't get time to visit the pool etc but looked very nice in the pictures on the website.

Located perfectly for my business trip. Freindly professional staff were on hand during my stay. My room looked onto the Football pitch (Macron stadium) which is a great sight especially waking up in the morning. I ate in the Bar which was a nice environment. The room amenities were good, everything I needed.
I would recommend the Hotel.
