Football stadia are better known for a pie and a pint than fine dining. The integration of Whites Hotel within Bolton Wanderers football ground, where restauranteur Paul Heathcote is responsible for bar and dining room food, provides a different dimension to the accepted norm.
A friend was staying at Whites and we arranged to meet and dine there. Two options were available, a bar menu and a two-or three-course restaurant choice. We chose the latter.
It was 20.00 on a mid-week November night and neither the bar nor the restaurant were overly busy, so service throughout was attentive and prompt. We chose the two-course menu for £20 and were surprised at the quantity of food served.
Heathcote’s venues are by no means the cheapest places to dine, although there is an expectation of quality. For example, we all ordered pheasant for our main course and this comprised two pheasant breasts each, with a surprisingly large selection of vegetables, all of which were presented nicely, rather than just shovelled onto the plate. The quality of ingredients also was up to expectations.
Another benefit over dining venues in the surrounding area was generous spacing between the tables. A dining experience is easily spoiled by being crammed into tables where one feels one is eating with people ‘next door’, as it were.

We had one of the penthouse suites and was truly excellent , spacious , clean , warm and luxurious and at a reasonable price . Breakfast here is amazing , all fresh and a huge choice , you won't leave here hungry . We came to watch Bolton play football and visit my partners family . Location is great with lots of restaurants around the Stadium and hotel . Cant wait to return .

For an Oxfordshire based Bolton Wanderers supporter the Macron stadium is a round trip of 350 miles. This hotel, attached to the stadium, is an ideal stopover, providing excellent parking, accommodation, food and service.

I just wanted to contact you to express my sincere gratitude to you and your team for the way this event was put together and run. It was a great opportunity to network and catch up with those that I already know. Everyone had great fun.
The layout of the room was well thought out and the venue was presented amazingly.
The meal was lovely and a good choice and I didn’t hear one complaint. The waitresses were excellent and were prominent if you needed any assistance with drinks or additional condiments. It made the day feel so relaxing and was a pleasure to be a part of.
I would definitely recommend the venue and would host any events I organise at the Macron Stadium. It is a pleasure to have attended such a well organised event and I just thought that you and your team deserved to know how well you did.
A huge pat on the back to you all; wish I could have thanked them all in person but there were simply too many to do so.

I would like to say what a great service The Whites provided for the Children Today charity ladies luncheon.
The room was laid out beautifully , all the staff we very pleasant and accommodating.
The food served was tasteful and most importantly hot when it reached the table. All too often when you attend large functions there seems to be malfunctions within the kitchens, however not so with The Whites!
I would not hesitate to recommend The Whites for either a small or large corporate function, to family friends or business associates.

The food and service were both fabulous, I must say a particular thanks to Pete who was so helpful on the day when I was setting up and helped me unload the car and was just generally so lovely, also a huge thanks to the wonderful June who again was so helpful and obliging and left all my stuff neatly stacked for me to collect the following morning.
It was a pleasure to be involved with Bolton Pride and I hope to work with you all again next year and well done to all on making the night the huge success it was.

The food was excellent I particularly enjoyed the gorgeous sticky toffee pudding dessert! I also wanted to note to you the service from all the staff including yourself was just wonderful, being shown around the rooms taken to our seats and the bar service all second to none.
Always a bonus when the team wins also, although i am sure you pre-arranged that as well.
Looking forward to our company hosting the Christmas party at your venue, and so happy with the service received from you while we added and subtracted numbers! I am sure we have been a challenge.

I have attended several functions at the Whites Hotel all have been fabulous;
I have attended the corporate match day events twice, one lunchtime game which was fantastic we got the poshest breakfast I have ever had and the compare was hilarious. The second time was an afternoon match this time I brought my husband along, he has been to Manchester City corporate he said the Bolton was 10 times better (apart from the football – obviously).
I also attended a ladies lunch event which was for “Children Today” a local charity we had two tables of ten. The food was amazing, everyone said they really enjoyed it. There were 185 ladies at the lunch and I have to say the organisation and service were 5 star. We finished at 4pm and they had another event at 5 I have never seen a room turn around so quickly.
I would recommend The Whites Hotel for any events, meetings or even a meeting for 2 people you will always be assured of first class service from friendly courteous staff

I've attended numerous events at Bolton Whites Hotel, from informal networking events to corporate entertainment, not to mention awards dinners and exhibitions.
This is a venue anyone can use from small to very large businesses and I also regularly use the cafe bar for meetings as the facilities and refreshments are second to none.
I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for lots of different reasons!

great night was attending a Halloween party held in another part of the stadium so worked perfectly and really handy for other amenities on the shopping car park ie Tesco takeaways cinema etc will look to stay again

I have been staying here for a number of weeks but tonight has been a real let down! I tried to order room service 3 times by phone and every time I was cut off! In the end I went down to the bar to order it. All ordered I was looking forward to my meal. It arrived quite quickly and unfortunately as I started eating the vegetables were raw. I rang back through to room service who promptly came and picked up the vegetables saying they would quickly replace them. 10 minutes later with a cold lamb chop waiting for the veg I rang them again asking for a new meal to be prepared! All in all an hour later I am still waiting to eat! To be fair I would still rate the hotel highly despite tonight but I will not be paying for my food in the morning and hope that Whites learns from this!

At an anex in the hotel..The room was comfortable with all necessary amenities.
There was even an iron and ironing board in the room plus.hairdryer. .large
Flat screen TV, ,,tea and coffee making facilities..Also a large bathroom.
The beds were extremely comfortable...And a good full English breakfast
Served in our room.,,,.our two day stay was excellent and would definitely stay

Stayed for two nights in a deluxe double room as I was attending a Soul Cartel event taking place within the hotel. Couldn't fault the room. It was spacious - had a single bed too - lovely sitting area (2 seater sofa & 1 armchair). The staff were lovely, plenty of parking & many shops on the doorstep. Would recommend this hotel

From the moment we arrived everyone fell into place, the rooms were ready, your front desk staff was organized and polite. I need to commend your dinning room staff Jon and Adam, for being so easy to deal with, nothing was ever too much to ask in terms of food choices and rearranging eating times, a true asset to your hotel.
The kids have come away with some very fond memories of travelling as a group, living with each other and your hotel and staff made this all the easier for them. The parents continue to talk about the high standard of the accommodation at The Whites and the fun times they had while us coaches were looking after their kids!
Danny your technical contribution to their football education, be that by yourself or your coaching staff was top drawer, your staff was prepared and ready for us as soon as we arrived at the training facilities and the content was appropriate and the methods of teaching were spot on!
Laura, you made this trip what it was, thank you! The time and effort of going outside the boarders of needs to make sure we were taken care of was very much appreciated, be that arranging busses or tracking down lost jackets, you have done a wonderful job, thank you.
