new area for us but extremely nice place...but it wasn't a match day!
Hotel very spacious, restaurant food really good,
Rooms ok......pillows?? one was not enough and two too thick but you cant please everybody all the time; mugs in the room could do with replacing.
any critical comments are only very minor as over it was excellent.

Stayed one night on business. Really impressed with the hotel and facilities. Room was beautifully furnished and welcoming. Staff were excellent, even though my company had not sent through confirmation of my booking they just said don't worry we will sort it out. Really appreciated after a long day! The bar and restaurant lacked atmosphere but there are many restaurants 5 mins walk away in the retail park, hence I ate there. Nice stay and will be back.

Stayed in a penthouse room for one night. Location is good with plenty of parking. Staff were very good, in particular Andrew on the front desk. He offered a warm welcome on arrival, he seemed to be doing everything. He even checked us out in the morning.

The room was a good size and offered everything for a nights stay. Plenty of cupboard space. The only criticism I have is the rooms need an upgrade. The furniture is looking a bit dated and wasn't the most comfortable for any length of time.

Plenty of shops and places to eat at the short walk of Middlebrook. I would stay again.

Friendly clean and comfortable, breakfast choice was a bit limited if you didn't want the full English.
Why if I go to the trouble of creating a succinct appraisal which is to the point and easily read do I have to pad it out to 200+ characters, with this additional nonsense just to satisfy some verbose marketing type?

I've stayed here quite a few times whilst on business.
It's in a good location and very handy for the M61.
The rooms are all of a good standard, some look out onto Bolton Wanderers football pitch if that's of interest.
The staff are friendly and well trained.
The lively bar is welcoming.
I have only eaten here once and the standard is good but a very large number of chain eateries are also nearby.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

only a little bit outside the Bolton town, with some issue in getting Uber .
Food and service are Excellent, wifi if fast and room are clean and with a lot of space.

Had the pleasure of an overnight stay here at the weekend. Its a lovely hotel with very friendly & welcoming staff. We were upgraded to a large room with a pitch view which made the stay even better. Def recommended

Don't want to be too hard here but the beds are hard, pillows hard, no soft ones to choose from. Neck agony next day. Food is good in the bar and the Restaurant manager is a great guy and very professional. Been coming for 11 years and want to be loyal but you need to smarten up the rooms, make the bar cosier, and get good beds and pillows. See Premier Inn's new business model (never thought I would say that). Hope you get it fixed as a good location.

Booked on line with a reasonable rate, twin room, single occupancy £55.00
Arrived and received a warm greeting and the announcement of a free room upgrade, YIPPEE I thought. It meant I had a double bed and a 'pitchside' view. Imagine this, at 7pm leaving in the morning at 6am.
The room was clean, the view of the pitch blurry in the dusk and the grass being watered.
The bed unfortunately was a fold up into the wall cupboard affair, hardly luxurious. Clearly 'pitchside' means flexibility for match days, not comfort for 'hotel' guests.
Late in the day, room was for sleeping not for sunsets (faced the wrong way anyway)
Took advantage of the Leisure facilities for an hour, it got me out of the room
Took dinner at the nearby retail park, lots of choice of food styles
returning to the room after dark found the security light in the bedroom, presumably there in case of 'matchday or night' evacuations could not be turned off. Asked reception for help. After around 30 minutes and 2 visits it was deemed necessary to relocate me to another room, this was now around 23.15hrs. Initially the room presented the same problem but a little persuasive banging of the light switch resolved the issue.
A noisier room (373 from memory) but eventually sleep was achieved.
Checkout with the 'Night Manager' was a solemn affair, no apology for being inconvenienced, instead a reminder I had received a 'FREE UPGRADE' to pitchside. No consideration or gesture with the room rate, not offer of a free breakfast, or even a coffee.
£55.00 was a reasonable rate, had things been satisfactory - they were not.
Would I stay again, YES, but maybe refuse an upgrade in the hope the beds are more suitable on the non pitchside side.
Working in Bolton and travelling fro Yorkshire I thought I had found, at last, a suitably modern location, with nearby food outlets, with leisure facilities and decent rooms.
Happy to discuss these points with management and to consider a second visit.
Cutting of ones nose to spite the face isn't good for business

Very pleasant hotel, stayed there a couple of weeks ago for my friends birthday party in Westhaugaton. The bar area is very nice and the service was very good. I didn't try the food so cannot comment. I would say though, saying this hotel is in Bolton is stretching borders a tad. It took about thirty mins in a cab from Bolton train station. My room had a full glass wall with a view over the pitch at the ground. No mini bar though.

Very friendly and made to feel very welcome. I also some excellent food which is rare as I'm allergic to lots of things and I was fed and watered very well although the £3 charge on top of the food charge was a little excessive.

We were greeted at reception by a very friendly team that made us feel very welcome. Our room was perfect with an amazing view of the stadium. On match days you can watch the football in the comfort of your bedroom. Breakfast the next morning was really lovely with a wide variety. I couldn't fault The Bolton Whites Hotel and their friendly team. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was faultless. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was spotless. The hotel its self is fantastic. We loved that we could open the curtain to overlook the pitch.
As for leisure activities, everything you need is on the doorstep.
We will stay again.

Well, call me old fashioned but if you want good service, friendly environment, excellent staff, spotless rooms and a great location, this is the place to come.

From the moment we stepped in, late at night, to the moment we left, we felt that we were looked after and made to feel special. Staff were very friendly, rooms were spacious and had everything we wanted. First class.

This is a very good hotel. Facilities are fine and rooms are clean. No air conditioners so I think in hot weather the room might be an issue. Ideal location for football and local function but not for the town itself, ad a little far out. Having said that and stayed in other local hotels this was certainly the best

Great hotel - great rooms, excellent service, excellent value for money. Will certainly look to book here again if I'm in the area. Really convenient for motorway access onto the M61 and M60 so you can get to Manchester, Bolton and Preston and beyond really easily.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The service from the staff was excellent; great choice of food for breakfast and love its location (it's right next door to a retail park; which has a good choice of shops & restaurants)
