Good Friendly staff. When we arrived at the hotel it seemed to be a bit of confusion as new staff were being trained. We weren't given very much information and the breakfast timings caused some confusion. On the Sunday evening I ordered two bottles of wine from the bar , and feel that the price was very high £49.50 for two bottles, and to top it of the bottle of red had been opened and some of the wine taken from it. On the Monday morning it was quiet embarrassing being told that we had not booked in for breakfast as part of our booking. I also sent a email prior to the booking explaining that my wife was a vegan. This wasn't taken in to consideration as the chef wasn't sure what she could eat , in todays age you would expect more than hash browns,tomatoes, and mushrooms. After the 1st day I felt uncomfortable to eat in the restaurant , this is due to a large number of military personnel eating there . I have no issues with the military, but the fact they were doing COVID testing and they were eating in the restaurant in the same clothing that there wear while testing. The staff in the hotel were very helpful and friendly, but the things I have mentioned above made the stay a bit a disappointing. Kind regards Dennis.

Nice and clean The receptionists were polite and friendly and the cleaning staff were also polite and friendly. Very clean hotel and location was great. Wasnt warned there would be work going on, woke up to drilling noise early in the, morning.

needs modernising, poor mobile and WiFi signals. good staff staff service. heather new girl on customer services was really lovely. and Jayne who served breakfast on two days we stayed was a wonderful. just little gesture from staff made our experience memorable of the hotel uncomfortable sleep, mattess was far too soft for my back. plug sockets not accessible and WiFi connection and mobile signal in room was really poor. the bar and lounge area had no power supplies to work on my laptop either. brin

Holiday Inn, Bolton stay 2021 Really friendly and helpful staff.Rooms were quiet, but ofcourse there were fewer guests due to Covid restrictions. Menu was good and plenty of choice. Due to Covid unable to use all the facilities. Didn't particularly like that we could only eat in our room, although we understand why.

Tired, in serious need of an update It was open. We needed to make an emergency trip to see our daughter and over the years have used this hotel regularly. Unfortunately in the past few years it has been showing it’s age. In fairness to the hotel they are placed in a difficult position by the now wholly unnecessary Covid restrictions, meaning none of their public areas are open, making the experience even more gloomy. The one thing which is consistent is the excellent staff who are always friendly and helpful, on this trip particularly Connor who went above and beyond. As above, tired.

For the price (£89) the room I had was is poor condition and was in great need of a refresh - this included the decoration as well as the bath and sink which have definitely seen better days.

Sadly was up in Bolton for a Funeral and in these difficult times, we experienced some of the best service ever . I travel the world and stay in hotels (mostly 5 star)over 60 nights a year .
The Reception ,room service and all were more than perfect . Thanks very much for a great night

Convenient and comfortable with good staff. Staff were very friendly. Room was a nice and clean. We stayed on the 4th floor and there was excessive noise from heating/air extraction or other above our head. This was so bad we had to move to another room.

Reception staff are great but after being at the hotel for 3 weeks for business this week I have been let down. Security is a mess. The hotel was broken into on the 13th . Guests were not informed. Then broken into again on the 16th where from what I thought was a looked room as I was the only one with the key card. My laptop, handbag and training kit was stolen. The manager was not concerned!!!!!! The police informed me that the hotel was broken into the same way on the 13th.
The door from the kitchen to the training room was not locked which I did not know. Their is no security cameras or alarmed fire exits at the back of the building.
The manager basically said it was my fault for leaving my laptop and handbag in the training room whilst I went to the toilet.
Even when i asked for insurance details to claim to replace all that was taken. He said I could not claim off the hotel as it was my fault.
I do not recommend this hotel until security is improved.
The menu is over priced for the portion sizes and the managers attitude is terrible.
