Pleasant Location We were upgraded, however it was just a wicker basket with some goodies in , rather disappointing. Room had dust on plug sockets and no ventilation in the bathroom with message to keep door closed. Could not see in the mirror. Tiles in bathroom look tatty and unfinished . Hotel felt tired

Good Large enough room, very large bed, very good breakfast. Room had an actual wardrobe with doors! Heating/air conditioning could be controlled by customer. None of the BBC channels on TV and radio had any sound. Reported to reception 8pm on the way out for the evening, wasn't too surprised that the fault wasn't fixed presumably until after we left next morning. The fault appeared to have been known about when we reported it.

Disappointed with the effort put in by the staff and the standard of the room offered I booked this hotel because it was a 4 star and conveniently placed from the train station and meetings that I had arranged Reception staff were cold and didn’t offer any additional information on checking in, such as what was available within the hotel and was only I Interested in whether I wanted to Boone breakfast or dinner for the evening. The hotel itself is showing its age and in desperate need of updating. My room was dark and slightly damp in the bathroom. I didn’t enjoy staying in this room. The bar staff did make an effort with attention to the customer but overall I felt this was poor. I’ve had business in this part of the UK for the last month and have commuting by car and returning that same day. It was the first time I decided to stay over and take the pressure of travelling off myself, which I regretted. I do plan to stay over in Bolton again because my business is not yet complete and won’t be for a number of weeks. I have been looking at other hotel options and doubt I will choose this hotel again, which is a shame as my experience of Holiday Inns in the past have been very good.

This is the first time I’ve stayed at this particular holiday inn, I’ve had mixed experiences with them in the past.

The receptionist could not have been more friendly and helpful, she was brilliant.

The room however was in desperate need of a revamp, dark and dull are the words I’d use to describe it. Although it was clean.

Breakfast was top notch, everything you could ask for was on offer and cooked well too.

As I entered the Hotel I was sceptical of its 4* rating, a standard Holiday Inn not particularly impressive, standard layout (could do with a refressh), standard room, pretty boring bar area and restaurant. However on the upside, all I ask for is a comfortable bed, hot power shower and a good breakfast and this hotel certainly delivers on all three. Also very convienient, right in the town centre. So all in all pretty happy!

Pleasant The overall experience was positive, the location was very good, near the centre, and the food in the restaurant was good as well. Breakfast was relatively ok, but no other options were made available, if existed. Biggest problem was with the room though; a fan was on all day and night long noisy so I could not sleep.

Car parking not safe The location was great comfy bed The night before we arrived lots of the cars had been broken into so didn’t feel very safe leaving our car in the car park which I thought was secure as it was under the hotel all the staff could say is we can’t do anything about it all they needed to do was keep a eye on the cctv to make sure nobody was hanging about will definitely think twice about staying again.

This is a handy place for the centre of bolton and they cater for large parties which ours was. As its a hotel that is also a bonus to take advantage of if the trip involves a distance to go home. The staff do their best to help and can always be found to direct everyone.
