Very good Used a few times over the years. Fantastic venue and staff. The mattress was so uncomfortable, sagging in the middle section.

The hotel is a bit tired, but it looks like it is undergoing refurbishment so hopefully that will change in the near future. It was reasonably quiet. The breakfast was okay but the cooked food did not appear to be that fresh - it was starting to congeal a little.

Title says it all. Built for Bolton’s better times but now showing the town’s decline.. v jaded bathroom, dated decors rooms, but clean and looked after though staff clearly having to struggle to keep it all on the road.
And it’s the staff what does it: personable, real people, not afraid to call you darling, or wear their headscarves with elan.
Food at breakfast robust British with very little concession to diet but gluten free rolls and excellent poached eggs delivered willingly. Setting fire to toaster met with charming “ ‘appens all the time love”.
What’s not to like?

I stayed at this hotel for a month and was very pleased. The staff were just excellent! Everyone was so eager to make sure I had everything I needed and that everything was okay. The two problems I had, were corrected within minutes.

They do a full English breakfast, which is very filling, or a continental breakfast of breads and fresh fruit.

The hotel is located in the town centre and right next to large shopping mall and is within a five minute walk to the main town centre.

I’ll be staying at this hotel again when I go back to back England to visit my friend.

Staff were very jolly and helpful, the building is way over due a make over spotlessly clean but very tired. Bathroom was not up to standard! Cracked panel scummy tiles behind the door and I would use the bath other than to shower - it was clean but all the enamel had worn off. Not our dual experience for holiday inn, but the staff made up for it and there’s a good sushi place across the road for takeaway.

Maintenance noise in the morning Got rudely awoken by maintenance work at 9am directly outside our room. Drilling sawing banging. No pre warning or apology.

Very good I liked the power shower in the room and the breakfast bar with nice cooked sausages. Really warm and caring staff to resolve card access to rooms. I would recommend again. The card keys to rooms are a challenge to operate at times.

REasonable value, good facility with great staff, nothing seriously wrong It's worth going out of my way to say that the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Building could do with some refurbishment. Restaurant menu could use a few more healthy and vegetarian options. Parking was tricky.

Exceptional Louis on reception was brilliant. We arrived very early following an early morning flight just hoping to drop case off. He had a room ready and checked us in by 09.00 ! Very helpful and polite each time we saw him. All staff polite and friendly. Good breakfast. The rooms could do with a bit of refurbishment. This a lovely place to see but seems to be forgotten. Open bars and reception areas well kept but bathroom and room shabby with stained curtains. Bed too small between bedside units so unable to reach!

A nice modern looking hotel. IHG rewards club member and so they had already pre-check me in the rooms for myself and business colleagues. Very quick check in as a result
Only stayed for one night (Monday night). Had breakfast included which was really nice and plentiful. Had dinner on the night of arrival, which was nicely cooked.
Slightly spoiled a little in that the bottle of malbec we had tasted off. After a few sips, the waiter took it away and then brought a new bottle. He told us that he hadn't charged us for the half a glass each that we had drunk of the vinegar. The replacement bottle was really nice, although we did pay for it, and it elongated our meal so w could finish it off, since it was replaced towards the end of our meal.
Anyhow the room (206) I had was opposite the lefty, and yet I heard no noise all evening. The room was really comfortable although it was two twins rather than a double. I was told afterwards that I could have requested a double, but in fairness it didn't matter too much.
A nice hotel, and I would happily go back.

Expensive for what we paid. The hotel was looking very tired but apparently a refurb is imminent The room we were upgraded to. The room they initially put us in that had a big hole in the side of the bath!

Served a purpose as staying for work Xmas Party The check in was quick and the room was clean. Good water pressure and hot water with the shower. The decor of the room and public areas is very tired. The decoration and finish in the room gave the initial impression that it wasn't.
