We met friends here and all had the Carvery. My partner and I have had Carvery before but I must admit this was one of the best. A good selection of veggies a decent amount of meat. Staff lovely too. There was also a play area at the rear. All in all a pleasant afternoon

Hotel was nice, the staff were very cheerful and helpful. There was a wedding on, so we were put up on the top floor so we wouldn't be disturbed. We arrived at 1.30pm and let us check in. We were going to a remembrance service on the check out day, we asked if we could leave our car parked there and the receptionist said that was fine. Plenty to choose from at breakfast and welcoming staff in restaurant.
Parking when we arrived was easy, plenty of spaces. We went out and arrived back at 9.00pm and searched all over the two car parks for a space. We were told that there were only 77 spaces and that we would have to use the multi storey car park near by and pay. fortunately one of the guest from the wedding moved their car to go and collect some other guest so we squeezed into their spot. Hate complaining but our bed was to soft, so maybe mention when booking that you need a firmer bed if you suffer from back problems or just old like us. And the cooked breakfast looked like it had been out for a while we went to have ours at 9.00am

Freezing cold, even with the heating on full I had to sleep fully clothed, the bath was dirty and had to clean it myself before showering, there was a lot of homeless hanging around so every time I went out for a cigarette I was either nagged for one or there were police there moving them on.

Wow!!! And that was just my reaction after the lovely, super attentive, amazing Jade had checked us in for our stay here!!! We were hosting our viewing party for The Wall’ game show in Ashton Suite! The guest room was perfect, clean and all you could ask for!! Now, if you are having an event in Bolton, LOOK NO FURTHER!!!! From Chantelle and Manisha coordinating our event to ‘nothing is too much trouble’ Wes (what an amazing man) he worked tirelessly ALL NIGHT, to ensure our event went off like a dream (which it did)!! Seriously, this is the complete venue!! EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING is set up perfectly and myself, my wife Ann my son Liam want to thank The Holiday Inn Bolton Central from the bottom of our hearts ♥️

Weekend break
Vicky on reception was very friendly and professional. Bar prices are very reasonable and the beds are great.
Bathroom slightly outdated and bath could have done with being cleaner. It was ok for a shower but wouldn't want to lie in it.

The hotel is on a central location to all parts of Bolton. Ease of access of the A666 which links to the M60 ring road. The horwich retail area 10 mins by car by road. Try & ask for a room to the rear of the hotel due to the road at the front is quite busy & noisy. The hotel is used for business conferences & wedding functions/private parties, so the weekend it can get quite busy.
Breakfast is quite expensive if it's not included in your price of your stay.
There are amenities such as a gym, this is basic mainly fine for cardio & light weight work out.
The internet speed is free with the hotel wifi but little slow.
The staff are friendly & helpful with a professional approach to their customers.

Over priced for where it was, and the kind of room we had. We didn't take up breakfast at £10pp
The room was big and clean - with a TV + phone.. even though we didn't use them
The bathroom was tired, in desperate need of re-fitting.. the silicone seal around the bath was black mouldy. The bed wasn't that comfy, bit hard... and the noise in the morning - workmen doing some kind of banging... right next to our room. the hotel was huge, so if there was maintenance scheduled, WHY put us next to it?? We could have been the other side of the hotel where it wouldn't have had any impact.

Stayed for one night on the weekend the bed was comfy, the room was lovely and clean. Could not say a bad word about the room, very spacious. The staff was lovely and helpful and I will defiantly be back.

The breakfast was excellent , the staff were very helpful and cheerful I would give the staff 10 out of 10 . Only one small point the orange juice had no real flavour .I would stop again and let family and friends know how well we were treated .
The room next door was having some work done ,so there was some banging and drilling going on .The drive at the entrance to the hotel had a tight turn to the right making difficult to manoeuvre with out hitting the kerb .

Handy for town
We stayed as had an event nearby. Staff lovely, friendly and helpful but room quite dated. We'd bought some snacks and put them on the windowsill which was full of condensation and wet the next morning. Bathroom could do with an upgrade
