Stayed here one night.
Room was fine, although tired. The bed was very very soft which wasn’t great for sleeping.
Free car park was great on site, and the staff were super friendly and couldn’t have done enough for you .... until the morning when it’s time to leave! By 11:10 they were knocking on the door and ringing the phone! We stay in hotels every week for work and just occasionally we may be slightly over the check out time, it’s not a huge deal it’s one room, so the bombardments of calls and knocking was a bit much for 10 minutes!

However check in etc was great and a great location and friendly staff until the morning!

I have stayed here before. Beware of the underground car park. It is small and tight, if you have a medium car you may struggle particularly due to the way people park. There is an outside car park to the right that is better.
The hotel is ok, comfortable clean rooms and free Wi-fi.
Ok breakfast.
Locally lots of restaurants at the vault as well, just around the corner.

I have to be honest I haven’t stayed at a Holiday Inn before, so when I picked this hotel it was based on both Tripadvisor reviews and the proximity to where I was working for a few days.

I put a note on the booking for a late check in and arrived at around 22:00. I parked on the car park with no issues and went to reception to check in.

Now I didn’t catch the name of the lady on reception but she was really nice and explained everything, where the room was the parking restaurant and bar and so on. She also put me in a room away from the main hotel as they had a wedding on the following night and didn’t want me to be disturbed.

The room it’s self was clean tidy, and had everything you needed for a couple of nights. It could have done with a little touching up in places where the paint was a little worn but I didn’t mind that really as the service was so good.

I had a chicken club with chips and a beer in the bar, which was £18.95 a little steep for what it was but nice and perfectly edible.

I would stay here again and will be adding Holiday Inns to the list of places I will use to stay in the future.

Warm welcome at reception. Lovely comfort bed. Unfortunately woken at 3.30 am by doors slamming. Quick check out.
Breakfast was a let down, ok but not the best.

Stayed at this hotel a couple of times, and also had a friendly face on reception and the cleaning staff have been excellent. Free Parking makes this and easy choice and right next to Bolton Marketplace for food and leisure.

Stayed there on business. Friendly helpful staff, large bedroom, great shower. Ate in the hotel restaurant with 3 different menus available. Food was good, had the liver pate to start then Mexican burger. Free salad bar too. Bar had reasonably priced drinks. Overall good value for money.

After reading some of the reviews on this hotel last night l was pretty worried, was full of trepidation. Felt like cancelling the reservation.
We are here for three nights, had our first night here and l am over the moon with this hotel.
Rooms are lovely, beds comfortable, pillows great. The staff are delightful, just had a delicious breakfast. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Nice enough hotel, would return. Very friendly staff on check in and out. Car parking in the basement and maybe some more behind the hotel? Few minutes walk out of the city centre and a quality Tapas restaurant called Tapaz, highly recommended! Breakfast fairly good for a buffet. Rooms a bit tired but clean and tidy enough.

Having stayed here before I chose the hotel for its great location, very accessible straight off the motorway.
Free outdoor and basement parking on site.
My twin room was modern and very clean, there can be some noise from other rooms as mentioned in other reviews but overall a typical Holiday Inn standard experience with attentive staff and good facilities with easy access to Bolton town center.

I wish we'd been informed before we booked about the room we stayed in here for an overnight stop in Bolton.
Had we known, we wouldn't have chosen to stay here. Shabby outdated room, threadbare carpet, chipped and marked furniture and chairs that should have gone to the skip 5 years ago. Felt quite sorry for the housekeeping staff who have to clean these rooms everyday. Have stayed in lots of hotels but this room ranks first in terms of shabbiness! The staff, service and food were all excellent, pity the room didn't reach that standard. We were offered an alternative room but this was as bad as the room we had so decided to stay put. If Holiday Inn Bolton need advice on room standards, would recommend a visit Holiday Inn in Seaton Burn, Newcastle.

Stayed for business. Room comfortable. Bed extra large and comfortable too. Bit dated decor and furniture. Very good powerful shower. Free toiletries were excellent. Staff friendly and breakfast was very good. Would stay again

Great staff and managed a personal situation/ problem well over the weekend regards check out and a hospital visit (nothing to do with the hotel).
Nice clean and fresh room.
Drinks a little high price but not unusually so for this type of establishment.

we chose this hotel as it was in the centre of Bolton and being a Holiday Inn thought it would be nicer than its cheaper competitors. It wasn't. It is very tired looking the parking is poor, the staff at Reception don't appear to understand what customer service is and the rooms are average at best. The breakfast was on the greasy side but the restaurant staff went beyond expectations to try and accommodate as best they could. We had a twin room and arrived very late and very tired. There were towels for one person....just. I definitely would not recommend this hotel and would definitely not stay there again, in fact given the choice I probably wouldn't choose Holiday Inn again over Premier Inn as you don't seem to get anything extra for your money except possibly a gym and pool which personally I can live without.

Of course Holiday Inn's are supposed to be all the same & give travellers comfort from familiar surroundings but many hotels could benefit from taking tips from this group. Here in Bolton of course the bathroom is compact, but there's loads of room for all your bathroom toiletries. Wi-fi was good and the meals in the restaurant tasty & good value. I would particularly mention the staff, who, without exception were friendly & helpful, from the reception desk to the cleaners. Simple & effective & would definitely stay again.

Parking was a little limited but then it is in a city centre, no room outside so had to go round the block and try again underneath. Pleasant helpful staff, nice evening meal in resturaunt, would stay here again.
