Stayed here for 1 night for work, had arranged a double but only got a room with 2 single beds, on request to change it was advised they were full - from looking at the desolate bar area and breakfast it didn’t look full!
Service at the bar is awful - waited ten minutes for a drink that was served in a dirty glass.
Room was in desperate need of an upgrade - the bathroom was stained and the wooden bath panel badly chipped
All in all it was OK but I will be seeking another hotel for future stays

Nice clean hotel staff were great and very helpful although it was a nightmare trying to book in just because I didn't have photo ID with me. And because I was paying Cash!!! Eventually they did give me a room so all good. Bed was very comfy

The staff here were fantastic. On night one of my stay my room was fantastic- a family room, which was really big and roomy with all amenities- iron, ironing board, refreshments tray, TV, lovely big room with desk, sofa/ coach arrangement. Brilliant. I unpacked and packed my clothes away in the numerous drawers and wardrobes in my room. I climbed into bed on my first night of a 4 night stay and .........itch.......scratch....itch. Following a trip to the bathroom I got back in bed to be greeted by 2 black bugs crawling in my bed.
The staff could not have been more fantastic and quickly inspected my room, located and caught some of the critters, allocated me to a superior room (I would not recommend paying superior prices - it was small by comparison- but it had a fridge, a complimentary Kit Kat and toiletries... and no bugs), gave me restaurant vouchers and decommissioned my original room.
I know having bugs in the bed is never a good sign when all you want is somewhere to sleep on business but the staff's response was fantastic- the situation was quickly resolved and I felt like I was more than compensated and looked after. Breakfast was decent and service was fantastic all in all.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Bolton over the Christmas period whilst visiting our son in Bolton and couldn't fault the hotel or staff. We were each left a little Christmas stocking on the door for Christmas morning.

Friendly staff and clean room, comfy bed, my only complaint was noise in the morning from the building site across the road, and the decor is slightly dated. But really good value for a Friday night stopover.

Stayed overnight for business, hotel is very dated and needs a major refurb. The rooms look like they were last updated in the 90’s, most holiday inns are now modern. Staff were very helpful and room was clean but I don’t think it’s good value for money

The room was comfortable, if a little tired looking around the bottom of the doors. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't great but I guess it was the standart hotel buffet breakfast. All in all, my stay was absolutley fine and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Had a great time at xmas,the staff make you really welcome(Reception,Breakfast,Room staff)the hotel is well placed ,short walk to town center(3min) free parking and Internet,Breakfast Buffet is the best ,i look forward to next time.

I'm writing this review for the hotel food. The breakfast was good but the bar food we had one evening was excellent. We all had different burgers and they were all amazing. The beef patties were thick, juicy and well cooked. The toppings were delicious. We enjoyed it immensely and was much better than other burger restaurants in the vicinity.

Nice experience, staff are welcoming and very polite. Breakfast was nice (standard) hotel is clean. I gave 4 stars because of the location, I didn’t feel entirely safe, there were a few intimidating people around the carpark watching vehicles and looked to be on drugs, (I appreciate that’s got nothing to do with the hotel, just the location) and finally another reason for only giving 4 stars is, I think it’s over priced for Bolton, no disrespect, but that’s London prices, I thought up North would be cheaper.
But having said all that I do think it’s a really nice hotel and staff are doing a great job.

Rooms were okay (we only stayed for one night) and the lady at the reception was very nice and helpful. But what really put me off during our breakfast was watching the service girl setting the tables around us for the lunch service. The tables were visibly dirty /sticky from breakfast service and she just placed the clean napkins and cutlery on the dirty tables. Not only that, but she touched the forks at the end rather at the handle when placing it. Clearly a lack of training, which unfortunately the breakfast lady also failed to pick up on.

Amazing place. All clean and well-kept. Bathroom was nice. A little small but nice. Lady at the desk was extremely friendly and quite helpful. Parking was hard to get into. Very narrow. All in all it was a good experience. Wouldn't mind coming back!

Staff is friendly. Good hotel if youre here for business. Rooms should be redesigned and refurbished as it brings me the 90's feeling while the bathroom is super modern.

Stay here regularly. Bathroom s are a little bit dated but a small price to pay. The best, most friendly, accomodating staff I've seen anyway. Late bar, comfy beds and nice and close to the vaults for a lovely night out. Love this place.

Great location, close to shops and bars. Decor is a little tired looking and prices are a little high. Staff all very helpful. Very annoying "heater" noise behind the wall during the night in my room on 4th floor. WiFi had weak signal with drop outs and buffering.

We stayed here with a group for the weekend , the meal on the Friday night w a s very poor , extremely disappointing , breakfast on both mornings was very good , great selection, evening meal on the Saturday evening was good , better selection .
Accommodation was clean and warm , rooms were comfortable , the bathrooms co uuld do with a upgrade , bar area in the hotel was pleasant , lacks a bit of atmosphere , overall a satisfactory stay .... would stay here again ..... but they do need to work on their evening menu , when you book for breakfast and evening meal .

A great experience here too ! Part of the Emmerdale tour. Couldn't find anything negative to say. Top quality food, staff and very clean. Would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.
