One of the more 'tired' Holiday Inn's, some are excellent, some are not. It's OK though and is very convenient for my business trips, so will probably stay again

We stayed for 2 nights in the Holiday Inn which is in the bolton town centre as it was a perfect base for family visits and evenings out. We booked via the hotel chains app.

We can’t fault the service as everyone we came across was warm and friendly, especially the lady who worked in the mornings looking after breakfast. What let it down for me was the bathroom. Although it had been cleaned on the surface, it still looked a bit grotty due to age and there was small patches of mould around the bath tiles - room 200

However we would stay again as it’s completely fine if you’re just looking for a place to rest at night and the breakfast was hot and plentiful.

Decent standard hotel. Offers a great, eat as much as you like, full English breakfast.
Rooms are reasonably well appointed with fairly comfy beds, although the duvets work a bit too efficiently for me. Friendly staff contribute to making it a pleasant stay.
Parking can sometimes be inadequate even though there are two car parks, one above ground and one underground.

5 stars as the service was impeccable. Very polite staff. Great room that was clean and very quiet so able to get a very good nights sleep. Mattress was comfortable. Location is great as in the city centre and staff can provide further info about the locale. Again to repeat the staff are a credit to the hotel and I hope they get recognised and rewarded for the work they put in to provide such a great service.

Nice, clean room with a comfortable bed. Had dinner in the restaurant and it tasted good. I had the classic burger and a dessert. The only thing I would complain about is the time it took for the dessert to arrive, almost 25 min after they took away the dish from the main course. But I wasn't in any rush so not a big thing.

Was very disappointed with this place, on arrival the bathroom floor was wet ,and used towel had been left in the bath tub. Terrible lighting in room. One of the lights didn’t even work. Dated furniture. For a Hotel in central Bolton I expected more, especially considering the price we paid. I’ve been to better B&B.
But the breakfast buffet was wonderful, plenty of options and variety. Polite staff.

Hotel was lovely, clean and staff very friendly. My only issue with the hotel is that there was no early check in for guests who are attending a function at your facilities. We had travelled from Birmingham for a wedding that was held at your hotel and hadnt wanted to wear our attire there - hoping to freshen up and get changed prior to the wedding. Unfortunately we were unable to do either of these things. We were unable to check in until 3pm. The only downside to the facility.

Well it's not one of the best holiday inns I've stayed at. At breakfast some of the plates in the pike waiting to be used had dried on food deposits. You also had a long wait for some breakfast items, the eggs in our case. To be brought out even after we'd informed the staff they'd run out. In the bar we ordered drinks. One of which came in a dirty glass which had lipstick on the rim. The rooms are tired, but comfortable and clean. It's a shame as this hotel is well situated for the centre of Bolton.

A hotel with an old church as an integral part. Superb wedding venue. The bedrooms are standard and enough. The wedding venue is big and perfect. Many staff serve a lovely tasting meal at the wedding. Highly recommended for a wedding.
Basement car park ( free ) only holds about 40, but plenty of public car parks around

My favourite place to stay when visiting my parents birthplace. Feel like I'm home. Friendly, helpful staff. Eat food. Especially their Christmas lunch...almost had to roll out the door. So much to eat. Also the meal had a great atmosphere. Look forward to my future visits.

Lovely hotel and free parking which is great, we had a good buffet breakfast, all freshly cooked food. The staff are attentive, the twin room was spacious and clean and the gym was equipped. Overall very nice hotel

The breakfast spread was divine as the food was clearly served with enjoyment. I withold the final star... Hair strands on bathroom door frame, black mould spots along tile/ tub edging, dusty ceiling fan inlet panel and that seemingly stubborn carpet stain.

After 50 something years, this is the first review that I have felt the need to complete. The professional, yet polite and friendly service that has been given to me this past week has been nothing short of amazing. All of the facilities, and staff......especially Taylor and Andrew, have been fabulous ( I hope that I have spelt their names correctly). This is an ideal conference and training venue, and one which I will not hesitate to use again. Thank you again.

The staff and service is amazing! the staff member named Becky was really helpful she kept our rooms clean and helped assist us with everything that we needed, it was a stressful time as we had a wedding but she was there helping us and gave us 100% satisfaction of our stay.

Very nice staff, but seriously misleading about having a swimming pool. Booked the hotel specifically for our kids to use the pool, only to find out it had closed a year prior (but no mention of this on the website). The restaurant food is also sub-par.

Staff were Great & food was good! (I HAD A STEAK). I just feel the room needs updating, especially compared to the Holiday inn off the M1 I stayed in last week.

The hotel, restaurant and food were great. However.....my room was far too hot. The air con wouldn't blow out cold air, it was extremely noisy and told me that the temperature in the room was 27 degrees at 3am!

Lovely staff and delicious food downstairs, but the rooms aren't amazing - fine to rest your head for a night. The one issue with my room the staff resolved for me while I was out.

Nice place to stay with comfortable, clean rooms and reasonably priced on-site restaurant. Salad bar a bit sparse on content. Good well-lit parking area and close to main amenities

We just visited this hotel with our u12s football team. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and efficient and the whole stay was wonderfully handled by them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Opened a conference room for me so I could feed my baby. Although an actual room would've been better as I was worried someone would come in also, conference room chairs aren't the best for breast feeding, either way, they did help.

I have attended a few social events here and it's a nice venue. The reception area to the party hall was not air conditioned so it can become rather warm when there are a lot of people.
