We were married on 20th December and held our ceremony in the Chetham Suite with our wedding breakfast in the Mimosa Suite. Our stay was fabulous from the moment we checked in on the day before the wedding until we checked out after breakfast on the 21st.
Tara the wedding coordinator was fabulous in the run up to the wedding as well as on the day itself. We ate in the restaurant on the evening before the wedding and had breakfast on the two days during our stay, the food was great. The wedding breakfast food was excellent as was the organisation by the master of Ceremonies Franco who ensured the day ran smoothly and service of the wedding breakfast was very efficient.
We stayed in one of the suites which was very bright, comfortable, clean and well equipped.
I have visited the Last Drop Hotel on many occasions in my role as a Registrar in Bolton conducting marriage Ceremonies but this is the first time I have ever been there as a guest and it definitely won’t be the last as I’ve already made enquiries about holding my 60th birthday family lunch there in February next year.
In the midst of all of this and the rush of the run up to Christmas, the staff at the hotel dealt brilliantly with a sudden influx of guests due to the many flights diverted to Manchester following the drone scare closing Gatwick airport. Breakfast was a little busier on the 21st but everyone was treated as valued guests - well done the Last Drop.

Just had 3 nights stay here, bedroom nice, clean bright. I believe the hotel has had a recent refurb . Comfy bed, decent size tv, only downer, no chair to sit on but not a major problem. Lovely breakfast and staff friendly, efficient and helpful. We will be back

There was a mix up allocating rooms, as we got a double bed but had arranged and paid for a twin room. Staff quickly corrected this. Lovely room clean, tidy and warm. Xmas meal was okay but excellent breakfast. Enjoyed band and disco in Pennine suite. Friendly, helpful staff. Would recommend the package as we got full use of the facilities swimming pool & thermal pool. Could have used gym and sauna but not my thing.

Enjoyed our treatments however it is very expensive for what you get - £45 for a 25 minute treatment, especially when 5 minutes is setting up. The staff were friendly but communication wasn't great and we were slightly confused about what we were doing.

Booked our works Christmas Party here but was very disappointed with the venue.
The Last Drop is a lovely place with lovely function rooms but our function room was the local pub ‘The Drop Inn’.
Don’t expect to pay £33 per head with extortionate drinks prices to be put in a dingy pub with people who could walk in off the street. Couldn’t see the dance floor as we were sat behind a wall.
Only good thing was the food, it was very nice.
Will never book another Christmas Party here, shame on you Last Drop.

Slight difficulty with reception over credit cards. Booked at home with card used only for on-line transactions & not carried with me. Couldn't accept card carried with me, as the booking was with the other card. Cancelled previous charge & recharged with card carried with me but restaurant then wouldn't accept latter card & we had to pay cash! Otherwise great hotel & restaurant. Only thing was the duvets were much too thick for us & we were too hot in bed but that was our personal preference & not the fault of the hotel.

I'm a regular reviewer on Trip Advisor and am always fair with my reviews I try to see positives more than anything generally.

My friends all clubbed together for my birthday and bought me a £125 gift voucher for the spa.
I booked in for 3 x short treatments including back, neck and shoulder massage, scalp massage and facial then I would have a small meal included.

On first arrival at the spa reception the lady explained how things worked and gave me a dressing gown to get changed into. Although I realised that was the norm I was a little surprised at this as you are walking around with just underwear on underneath the dressing gown and people using the gym were about which I felt uncomfortable around. Again, when walking over to the restaurant for my meal I was assured plenty of people go in the dressing gown yet we walked past tables of business men some of who I knew I felt quite embarrassed being in a robe, that said I understand it's so you still feel that spa vibe.

The treatments I had with Tara who was good and friendly to talk to. I normally like to relax and not speak during treatments but we got on so well we chatted away I didn't mind.
Disappointing she couldn't get the music to work as my idea of a heavenly massage would be to have some light music in the background.
There was no toilet paper in the toilet I had to ask Tara to get me some.
The general surroundings of the leisure facility is quite tired and dated, I agree with a previous reviewer it resembles a council run leisure centre.
I've included a photo where you go to rest after your treatments and have a coffee and although the view was nice my robe stuck to the table and the robe had been nowhere near the treatment products.

Over to the food, I had the Bento Box and it was fab great idea.

Overall I didn't think it was worth £125.
Tara was friendly and the staff in restaurant were nice but the treatments started at 1215 and finished at 1320 back to back I felt it was too quick for this money. Also disappointing to see sign in gym toilet saying members could have any two spa treatments for £50 therefore we paid an extra £75 for one extra short treatment and a bento box.

Not good value for money.

We arrived independently by car & after booking in, we went to the comfortable lounge bar area with views over the driveway & grounds to order a late lunch. I chose the Chicken liver parfait which came with with super thin toast & salad garnish. It was delicious, the best I’ve had in a long time. Compliments to the Chef. Husband enjoyed his freshly made sandwiches. And we both enjoyed a glass of wine with our lunch.
We had a nice room in the hotel close to the swimming pool, but didn’t have time to try it out, as every day we were on interesting coach trips. This is a good Hotel to stay at for visiting the local area & beyond. One to make a note of for a future stay.

Booked a spa night away for myself and my husband as a little treat after a bad week. It wasn’t cheap as we upgraded room and added on afternoon tea so we were concerned after spending over £300 on a night away that something would let it down. It didn’t!
Our spa package included 2 treatment each but as we booked the hotel with only 2 days notice appointment times were limited. We were offered 1330. I was concerned that after the spa we would want to immediately go to the room not bother with checking in etc as check in was 2pm. Also when I tried to book afternoon tea I was offered 1230 and again was concerned this would then be rushed for the spa treatments. So I mailed the hotel my concerns.

I got a lovely email back telling me we could have afternoon tea in the bar rather than the restaurant and they could do this for me at 1130 as I had requested. The morning of the stay however I got a phone call to inform me they could now do it in the restaurant but staff may still be setting up around us. A nice touch I thought to be informed this.

When we arrived at 11am the lady on reception was very helpful and although our room wasn’t ready as it was very early she said we could have a complimentary early check in and she would request the cleaning team to make out room a priority. She then stored our overnight bags for us and we went off to have afternoon tea.
The staff in the restaurant were incredibly welcoming and polite. The afternoon tea was perfect and we left very happy.
Once we’d eaten we were told our room was ready and we could have it early. Perfect!!!
We had a small rest then went to the spa. Again treated very well by the two staff in there as we had a relaxing hour. We then made our way to the lovely pool and outdoor heated pool and saunas. A lovely relaxing afternoon was spent in there.
Dinner was pre booked as part of the deal and we ordered off the menu. This would be my only minor grumble and that is too many of the choices had supplementary charges next to them. Having already spent quite a lot on night away and thinking we are getting a nice 3 course dinner it is slightly off-putting to have your choice really limited down significantly unless you again pay more money. Expected for steak maybe but not some of the other choices.
However that aside the service was fantastic and the meal very very well cooked and served.

Had a lovely quiet nights sleep in the room and then an amazing breakfast in the morning. In fact one of the best hotel breakfasts I have experienced. Well done team.

All in all this place really does give guests a personal touch. You get the feeling that staff are well trained and the team is strong and well led. What a wonderful little find. Thank you for giving us an experience to remember.

Great place and facilities. I didn’t know what to expect but was very happy with everything about the place. Service, cleanliness and facilities were spot on. I’d recommend it for sure. Food was good and you can choose any menu in or out of the restaurant/bar. Great gin and tonic! The moors were only 10 minutes from the hotel so for a weekend walking or cycling it was perfect. The spa and pool ended a day in the hills perfectly.

We come fairly regularly and it never disappoints. The spa is lovely with a really serene infinity pool. We usually have a bento box (as part of a spa package) which are ok and the customer service is always fab. Today we had a really nice meal (from the bar menu) which really exceeded my expectations. It was chicken and mushroom pie. My only complaint is that I didn't order the chips too (my husband did) and they were really delicious. All the staff are always willing to go the extra mile! Really can't recommend enough.
