Just been to see look back in anger. A brilliant performance. We had a meal in the cafe before, huge portions of freshly cooked food. The only downside is the lack of toilets

We loved it at the Octagon Theatre. It's small enough to be comfortable and feel welcoming. We saw Two and Two 2 and enjoyed the experience entirely. The actors were second to none and we had a wonderful view. The staff in the interval were friendly and charming.

I find this local theatre a great place to go. We go there with our school at Christmas. Unfortunately I leave my school this summer and go to high school so I won't get to see it with school; I can come with family tho😀

A great local theatre which puts on consistently good productions. I saw Martha, Josie, and the Chinese Elvis recently and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Octagon offers the opportunity to see first-class acting and performances and a wide-range of plays. We have never been disappointed on any of our visits. "Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis" was no exception: a heart-warming, humorous story, with superb performances all round and lots of audience participation with the Elvis numbers. It had the good-feel factor and you came out singing. Highly recommended. Did find the cost of sweets and ice-cream, (in a very small tub), somewhat expensive, compared to what we have paid at the Altrincham Garrick and Bolton Little Theatre.

Brilliant performance last night, well deserved standing ovation. Superb acting, great set, took us through the gamut of emotion. Made us think...better to have someone dead than being abandoned by them?

We have been to this theatre quite a few times, everything we have seen has been brilliant, the staff are always friendly and the toilets are always clean. Tonight we went to see Marta, Josie and Chinese elvis, well what can I say it was absolutely brilliant, it was a tear jerker, funny , uplifting play, the actors were fantastic , I loved the surprise at the end when the snow fell over the audience what a lovely touch to a amazing performance.

Although we had seen the play before so there was no surprises it was good to see another version. This was excellent. The staging and acting were brilliant and the writing had withstood the vagaries of time. The two teenagers with us were blown away by it and were very eager to see the new Two 2.

There were 4 of us that went for a pre performance meal. We had three different meals and all of them were delicious.
We had prompt polite service in a good atmosphere.

Went to the octagon to see a play "two2" by Jim Cartwright. The whole evening was an absolute pleasure. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves lovely food at sensible prices. The auditorium is small and intimate. Every seat has an amazing view and is very comfortable. Would recommend a visit to anyone.

We took the grandchildren in January to see the B F G. The seating, as ever, was excellent. No problem for young children to see everything. They loved it! The production was really good and the children could easily relate to the story. The adults even managed a drink at the interval. A good time was had by all. An excellent night out.

Lovely theatre with cafe/bar area downstairs. Seen a few productions here over the years and even though I am deaf the sound quality is very good. The stage is set in the middle with seating on three sides. I've noticed Wheelchairs and disabled patrons sitting around the front edges of the stage and all the staff are unfailingly pleasant and helpful.

What an entertaining evening at the octagons production of TO.,.. I saw the same production twenty years ago and the recent one was just as good. It was great to see such a wide age range in the audience laughing together. The atmosphere at the octagon is very welcoming can't wait for the February production of To 2

A Christmas holiday treat with our grandchildren. Theatre is small, friendly and intimate. There are no bad seats and sound quality is first class.
The refurbishment of the restaurant on the ground floor and improved bar area on the first floor have enhanced things from previous visits.
Car parking at reasonable cost at the multi storey car park next is extremely convenient and easy

I went to Octagon Theatre in Bolton for the first time on 2nd February 2016 to see Jim Cartwright's play Two, which was amazing and beautiful acting. The Octagon Theatre had a great atmosphere and looking forward to going back to watch many more plays.

We took 3 11 and unders to the BFG for a Xmas treat. It was a wonderfully imaginative production with a clever mix of puppets and humans. The design was very clever and we loved the dream sequences. The Giants were a particular favourite especially when they were in the audience. It wasn't too expensive for theatre tickets these days although we did sit on the top balcony; it was still a really good view though!! I've not been to the Octagon for ages and was really impressed with the standard of both show and welcome. Do go and see it and support local theatre!!!
