I have run in lots of the local races in Brighton including the Marathon,the half and the Brooks 10k and I think that the HEROES RUN event is about as much fun as you can have while running. There are usually around 1,500 children and adults all dressed as their favourite superhero and I spent so much time laughing and checking out the other costumes that I completely forgot I was running in a 10k. There is a kids dash before the main adults 5k and 10k races and if you're looking for a really unique and fun event this year where the emphasis seems to be very much on just getting involved then the HEROES RUN is definitely worth a look.
