Cannot fault the service at the Village. Staff were excellent, room was spotless, modern and comfortable. Nice big bed (my pregnant wife had a great nap as soon as we got there) clean bathroom and the WIFI worked!! Definitely visit again given the chance.

We had our wedding reception here and it was truly the most perfect, magical day. From start to finish the staff here were amazing. The inspiration suite is a lovely big room with terrace out side. We had over 160 guests and there was more than enough space for 15 formal tables, the hot and buffet food was beautiful, Rodd and his team worked really hard to make our day better than we ever imagined, eye catching decorated the room, it was stunning. If I could have my day again, I wouldn’t change a thing.

We stayed overnight in a club room, super clean, modern and the bed was soooooo comfy! Many of our guests stayed overnight too.

I would highly recommend any function or stay at the village, Definately 11 out of 10.

Love the hotel. Sometimes a bit noisy on weekend due to weddings and can be noisy at rear of hotel when a function is on. Club rooms worth extra money and food is cheap and plentiful. Always love saying here

Lost its edge and bit run down, needs a upgrade and food options not great. Great location and gym brilliant with great facilities, restaurant and bar could do with better food choices but great service.

Handy location just off the motorway and close to Bury. Friendly staff but tired accommodation a overpriced decidedly average grill restaurant and a poor nights sleep due to the lack of air conditioning.

I stopped here for 1 night the room was clean and comfortable.

I would certainly stop again, I was lucky I got a deal for a club room which cost me an extra £7 should be £20 extra which it's defiantly not worth paying the extra.

The hotel walls are so thin that I had the tv on quiet and still got a knock on the door by hotel staff to turn the tv down so I switched it off because I had to turn it that low I couldn't hear it myself.

We stayed here on Sunday, and generally we had a lovely time. The receptionist was polite, helpful and informative. The self check in service is a great idea, but the process really lacks information. I paid for late checkout and a room upgrade, none of this was displayed on the screens upon checkin. I had to then wait around for the receptionist to ask if these upgrades were still on.

We get up to our room and everything seems fine, the room looks nice we had a quick scan around and went downstairs for some food. As food was part of our package we were given the choice of eating in the 'pub' or the restaurant. We didn't like anything from their very limited set menu, so opted to eat in the pub. we were advised that we has £15 per head to spend on anything on the menu, we just had to give them our room number when ordering. Food was good, menu lacks descriptions, but I opted for a Burger as I liked brioche buns (described on the menu)... My burger did not arrive in a brioche bun, it would have been nice to have been told.

We have a few more (Very expensive) drinks in the bar and retreat to our room. The room was fairly clean, but I feel it's time the rooms possibly had a deep clean as upon closer inspection (and not so close) we found these issues:
- Crumbs/dust on the clair - not even been swept off
- Very dusty legs to the table
- Dust and dirt behind the doors - in particular the bathroom
- Big heart with the word 'Robbie' in the bathroom mirror after it got steamy after a shower
- Stains on the carpet
- Dusty blinds
- Grubby worn marks on the bedside tables
- Tassimo Drip tray dirty
- Lots of dead pixels on the TV
- USED CONDOM and wrapper in the bin
- Iron didn't work properly - Just spewed warm ward out over garments

Breakfast was nice lots of choice and of good quality, staff were friendly. Bit strange that they don't serve fried eggs with their breakfasts, but they were happy to make it upon request.

You get a bill emailed to you the next morning, It was lucky I checked as I had been double charged for the food we ate in the 'pub'. Reception were happy to refund it though.

This was the 3rd time I have done one of these ladies at the spa breaks at the village hotel group. Excellent value for money. Overnight stay for 2 with 2 course meal a glass of fizz and a 25 min spa treatment for £89 can't fault it. Looking forward to the next one.

The rooms require some sort of cooling system. Bring back a basic little with tea and coffee that is simple to make. The coffee machine require 2 or 3 inputs to get it starting to make a cup of tea/coffee

We got married here on July 14th 2018. I couldn’t fault a thing! On the run up to the wedding Louise was always on the other end of an email or call if I needed anything. She accommodated us with whatever we needed, was so friendly and helped calm my nerves with laughs and gin on several occasions and couldn’t ever do enough for us! We stayed over the night before and all was perfect! On the day I have to say a massive thank you to Rod. He literally had everything running perfectly and was always on hand with drinks for us. He allowed us to use the venues post box when we was let down which saved us a couple of hundred pounds so we was so thankful for that! Jamie Lee was also a brilliant waitress as was the other waitress who was working alongside her and the barmen (sorry I can’t remember the names!) Our room on the night was PERFECT! We had the club room and was gifted with a gorgeous personalised framed memento and a bottle of prosecco! Just amazing! We also got to stay another night so we could begin our honeymoon early...all gifted to us by the hotel! The food was unbelievable, everyone complimented it. The room was outstanding and everything was so beautiful and classy! All in all a fabulous day and it ran like clockwork, even carefully packaging all our things together the next day for us! I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of getting married here or even wanting a short break. Again massive thanks to LOUISE, ROD and all the team that helped make our wedding so special and memorable! Thank you so much! Mr and Mrs Kinsey 💖xx

I booked the Village using a discount code and was genuinely shocked at the amount that we got for our money. The staff really went above and beyond to make it a special evening. Thank you so much! We will be back again soon!

Great pool and gym, lovely facilities on the hotel and really friendly and helpful staff. Pur disappointment was with the room which was not as hoped, as there was only 1 pillow, and the room was a little shabby with carpet stains and mould on bathroom ceiling, also the in room tea and coffe was not provided the first night of our stay and tv wasn’t fixed until the second night, these issues did not dampen our stay and overall it was a lovely hotel and we would come back.

Village hotels in my experience tend to be on the better side. A very good average of quality and service. The hotel itself is quite big with plenty of rooms.

My room was quite good but one thing that massively affected my stay was the temperature of the room. It was like a sauna inside.

No air con and a really crap fan that barely blows anything. I asked reception if they had any spare fans but they said no.
Couldn’t even open the window any further than an inch because of safety latches.

It was hard to sleep at night in the heat but other than that my stay was an above average one. I will be visiting a village hotel again I’m sure.

Check in went well and room was clean and tidy. Food in the restaurant was very good as was the choice of menu dishes. The hotel resident DJ played excellent music at the party with tunes for all peoples different music tastes. Breakfast was very good also. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Only negative were the drinks prices. A lot overpriced.

Overall a lovely stay at the village fantadtic food and brill service. Only thing that was annoying was the fire alarm caused by another resident smashing the box at 4 in morning ment our sleep was disturbed and the room did not have much ventilation as so warm was uncomfortable.
