Visited for a wedding party. Well impressed with the room especially the walk-in shower and Sky Sports and Movies. It's a pity we didn't have much time to watch. Regret not taking our swimming gear as the pool looks fab. Next time

no air con really brought the experience down. everything else was fine. but just too hot to be comfortable or get a good nights sleep. also there was a poster on check in advertising spa treatments on a Sunday, yet when we tried to book they said they had no availability???

Really nice hotel, friendly and welcoming staff. Loads of parking. Great facilities. Breakfast was the standard buffet but really good. The room was very spacious and had sufficient amenities.I do feel a bit robbed though as I paid just under £100 for the night, when my bf checked he could get the same room for £60. Bit disappointed with that fact and unsure why it happened.

Came and stayed so we could visit the arcade club. Lovely hotel and average room. I found it a little expensive for what it was. I paid extra for the leisure services but then later got asked of i would like to upgrade my room, which had them services included anyway. Did not get a refund.

Room was clean but sparse. The bed was extremely low, as was the wash basin (only thigh high) - I assume it was an adapted room that had been allocated to us. There was a lot of audible noise from the adjoining room (could hear their television and phone conversations) and from above (heavy footsteps). Overall I expected more from this brand hotel & don’t think it was good value for money.

This is an excellent and versatile option in the Bury area. Close to the M66 and ideal for the town it offers good food and drink and very reasonable prices. The Sky Sports was a real bonus and the staff are very friendly.

Room was a mess when entered like it had not been bothered with and bathroom was all damp around the roof. Would have been nice if the bed was made atleast, though i could have done a better job at making it.

Pleasant stay. Room.service wasnt hot. Overall nice for the price staff were friendly and helpful. Pool was nice although small, very busy. Room upgrade annoying as you may aswel not pay the extra and take the chance as the whole 2nd level is upgraded rooms.

Lovely hotel, easy to reach, clean and tidy, bedrooms nice, just need to improve the lighting. Breakfast was nice, could do with a little more choice. Overall a very pleasant stay and at a good price.

Request a second pillow. It makes one hell of a difference. God knows why they only supply one pillow each. The bathroom in our room was also screaming out for an upgrade. And I don't get why they don't fo fried eggs at breakfast. Other than that it was a nice hotel and a good stay. Will go back again.

Fantastic hotel, except when it's party night, when you'll get little sleep.
I've marked the hotel down because a hotel manager makes choices... to provide comfort to paying guests or a service to a set of party-goers that will fill the remaining rooms in the hotel AT THE COST of the comfort of the other paying guests.
This hotel hosts parties, and if you have the misfortune to have a room when it does, don't expect to get a good nights sleep.

Great value deal. Lovely modern clean hotel with lots of amenities and beautifully decorated rooms. Ideally located just a two minute taxi ride away from bury city centre. Got a great deal by booking direct with the hotel

Had never stayed at a Village hotel, but after trying Village Hotel in Bury will certainly try and book in other areas in future. Check in very quick and easy, staff very pleasant and helpful. Buffet type breakfast good start for our homeward journey.. Bedrooms large and cheerful, nice touches like tissues in the bathroom, glasses for a drink in the bedroom, as well as hospitality tray and a good fan and great hairdryer.

We cannot thank the village enough for how much they did for us to make our wedding day so perfect. Louise, Rod and the team went above and beyond for us. From the moment we first looked around the venue we fell in love, the bespoke package (although not the usual) was everything we wanted and more. We had 200 guest all day and had afternoon tea and evening hot buffet. Although the wedding was large this did not phase them one bit and everyone has commented on how great they were. As I had created near enough all the decoration for my wedding I was so worried about someone else setting it up and it not being right but at every meeting and through many phone calls a plan was made and I felt so at ease and they created exactly what was in my head and even made it better. As they felt that the crockery they had which was plain white etc wasn’t right with the theme when it was all set up they searched for 200 sets of mismatch and it was perfect! Louise our wedding coordinator even came in on her day off to make the room how I envisioned it. She dealt with any issues we had in the run up to the wedding with suppliers etc even the day before when I couldn’t deal with anymore problems she was amazing throughout the whole year! We didn’t have to worry about anything at all on the day and did not feel rushed at all even when we were running very late Rod just went with what we wanted and even gave us space to breath when we needed it. Rod dealt with everything so we had nothing getting in the way of our special day with our friends and family. He and the team were still working around 3am clearing up when I came back to reception and was still helping me then! Our room for the 2 nights was perfect and in a quiet area in the new build it was lovely and just what we needed after such a long day and breakfast was amazing being able to see so many of our guests again in the morning! All we can say is thank you so much for our perfect day you made it so very special and really do recommend it as a wedding venue and place to stay! Thank you. Mr & Mrs Norman x

Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly. Only issue with room was that it was very dark. Contemporary colours but dark brown small window frames with dark brown blinds. Had to lift them to get what little natural light we could get. Also no central light in the bedroom to give light just, side lamps and a side one on the wall. Overall this was a very good stay with friendly staff and clean standards so would therefore return in the need arose.

Stayed in a club room with the better half for her birthday last weekend. Very impressed wit the room, plenty of space, great facilities and amazing bathroom. Didn't spend a huge amount of time in the hotel but had a lovely cocktail before we headed out for tea. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you, especially the lady on reception. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in Bury

Lovely room which was very clean. The reception staff were polite and most helpful. The large and very comfortable bed was great. Used the leisure facilities which were extremely pleasant.

Our stay was for 3 nights which were spoilt by the loud banging of room doors into the early hours of the morning. This is quite a large hotel which caters for most types of events from birthday parties, wedding receptions and tribute band events.

We were woken half a dozen times on Saturday/Sunday up to 3.30 am by the noise. All in all, although we love the area, the very selfish actions of fellow guests put a real damper on our stay as we were disturbed on 2 out of the three nights stay.

Not sure if this is exactly on the tourist trail of the North but if you need a clean comfortable stay then you can't go far wrong here. I have never been in one Village Hotels before so didn't know what to expect, I admit we were there as part of a wedding function so can only say what my impressions overall were. I had been annoyed that we had to pay extra to get into our room early (it's for weddings!!!) but hey- ho, we arrived even earlier and the girl on 'reception' was brilliant, sorry I don't know here name but she managed to get us into a room within 10minutes, now that's service., that's at least an hour and half before our allotted time. I used 'reception' like that because I noted that there were a lot of self service pods to check in , puhlease when you arrive at a hotel you want personal service!! Had they girls not been there we would not have had the same experience. The room was large, clean and comfy, the only small gripe was the power of the water in the shower wasn't great. The areas down stairs had a restaurant, bar and a fantastic looking swimming pool and gym and it was obviously well used by locals, what I saw of the food looked good too. So would have no objection to stopping in this chain again. The staff from the hotel who were helping organise the wedding worked very hard and it all looked great, so if your planning a wedding, check it out. Breakfast next morning was buffet style and whilst not the best I've ever had was still very good and all that you could want.
