Hi, myself and wife, Mr and Mrs Rowley, stayed at your hotel last night and wanted to raise some issues with you.

We checked in for room 215 and went to the room. Very soon after we were joined in the room by another person who had also checked in room 215. Luckily we were still unpacking!!

The person who checked in was our new son in law, he had assumed that his new wife had used her maiden name, which is the same as ours, but hadn't. I'm not sure how your systems allow 2 check ins!

We had a very disturbed nights sleep due to the noise of the motorway. Obviously we knew the motorway was there, but we didn't think it would be so noisy! We went home tired.

We attended the wedding party on the lower level and purchased a small bottle of Diet Coke. £3!!! How can you justify such a price for this? It worked out cheaper to buy alcohol as the drinks were bigger. Not impressed.

The room was too dark. I feel this needs addressing, you hold many events in your hotel so having a lighter room would really help when getting ready!

The staff you have at the hotel are good and I think made our stay bearable!

The stay in the hotel was lovely, we went on the Sunday special deal
Restaurant food was expensive and £4.15 for a bottle of water was rediculous
Wouldn't eat in the restaurant again
Breakfast was nice

Overall a great hotel with easy access to the surrounding areas. The standard of the rooms is excellent and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The only downside is the extortionate price of wine in the pub (£8.40 for a large glass of white wine). Apart from that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Booked a Groupon deal for the spa. The hotel is very nice with ample car parking. We were greeted and given the information we needed and shown to the changing rooms. They are really nice and clean with excellent facilities. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room were lovely again very clean with beds at the back of the pool where you can relax. We had our treatments in the salon, facial and back neck shoulder massage. The rooms are so nice and peaceful and very tastefully decorated. The treatments were amazing and the staff member made me feel very relaxed and at ease. I would definitely recommend and would love to return again and next time stay over as the hotel looks fantastic.

Nice big, spacious, clean rooms.
Had club room, not enough coffee, tea, or milk for two people.
Loved the full sky package.
Our meal at the party was terrible, all frozen cheap food!! Not a lot either.

I thought the look of the hotel outside was good, however, there were a lot of steps to climb and I could see an alternative to getting a lift as I can struggle to walk.
Check in was quick and cheerful, but to get to our room was interesting, two lifts and different corridors, which can be confusing.
I think for the price we paid breakfast could of been included as we paid a little more to have a Club Room.
Room was lovely and spacious, bed was great and the tassimo was good too eventually when we got it working. Bathroom was lovely and spacious, but shower tray needs to be re-thought as the water would drip over the side and on to the floor, this is a hazard. There was a dog barking majority of the night and day which was annoying, might be out of the control of the hotel but it was like I was sitting next to the dog, so windows could do with replacing.
Room service was brilliant, food was soooo delicious.
Check out was easy and quick.

We entered into the hotel, I sometimes find it difficult to walk and found the steps to the entrance quite tiring and it wasn't obvious if you could get up to the entrance if you were disabled.
Anyway, entered the hotel with a welcoming friendly hello from the staff, there is a new fancy way of checking in now, and they get you to do it. Once your card has been registered (we had a Club Room as it was worth just spending an extra few quid for a bigger room). However, to get to the Club Rooms you have to walk quite a bit, up one lift down a hall way, down another lift, then down another hallway to get to our room and I am not a far walker. We entered into the room, immediately noticed that it was spacious and the bed was very big. The bathroom was lovely and big. We had a Tassimo Coffee Maker in the room and a big wide screen tv (bigger than the average) there were a few niggles about the room/hotel we didn't like: Someone's hair in the shower tray (boyfriend had to wash it down as I get cringy with anything like that), the shower tray could do with a deeper tray or longer glass panel, as the water eventually ran over the shower tray causing the foot towel to be soaked, possibly out of the hotel's control, but there was a Dog that would bark throughout the day and night which was really annoying at 2am and 4am in the morning. I think as we upgraded to the Club Room, breakfast could of been included.

Modern rooms, friendly staff, great facilities. Good value. Didn't get the chance to use spa or leasure facilitates. There was a really good vibe in the pub which was well laid out and comfortable. Would stay again!

Stayed at this hotel for business for 8 weeks - couldn't of asked for anywhere better to stay! Ashleigh on reception is an absolute credit to the hotel - welcoming and friendly and goes above and beyond for the guests. The bar staff are incredible, friendly and deliver excellent service. The restaurant menu is lovely if you're after a nice quiet evening meal. Rooms were up to date (beds and pillows insanely comfortable!) and house keeping were just lovely. Situated in a good location, with the local town just a 15 minute walk, and Manchester main town easily accessible with public transport.

A nice hotel but pricey for what it is. Well decorated and looks to have been refurbished in the last few years. Shower design poor as floods the bathroom. Ordered room service which took nearly two hours to arrive despite being advised it would be 20mins. Food was luke warm when it arrived but I was so hungry I just ate. Breakfast was good and the gym had a good range of equipment.

Leisure facilities were excellent.
Staff very attentive and friendly.
I'm a light sleeper and was very aware of outside room noise levels.
Second night was kept awake by drunken shenanigans of other guests.

Bedroom was adequate but minor details lacking, possibly due to end of season. Very dim, poor combination of lighting. Could do with an armchair as have experienced in another Village hotel. Didn't like the kettle directly under the TV, TV should be mounted higher or elsewhere.
Staff at all points of visit excellent, impeccable manners - thank you, it goes a long way.

Restaurant service a shambles as what asked for we needed to keep repeat asking for it as the waitresses would say yes then walk about 2 yards and forget what you asked for. They would then go off and serve other people. A young girl was left alone to check people in using automated machine that didn't work

Nice hotel, good facilities, close to motorway which was good and bad. Good because it was easy to get on the road and away in the morning, not so good because you could hear the traffic noise which seemed to go on all night. The restaurant was pretty good value and the food quality was good.

The hotel itself is in a good location, plenty of parking nice grounds. We were there for a wedding reception club room 190 room was lovely, clean and a really comfy bed, however even though we had up graded there were no shower caps, would not normally mind but had just had my hair done for the wedding also the bathroom mirror and shower screen were a bit grimy the mirror had a line across obviously it was cleaned to were the person could reach also only one choice of each coffee pod ? But two teas. On the whole lovely room but not sure it was worth the up grade. The venue for wedding reception lovely table decorations were fab and the carvery very nice apart from the sticky blob of rice 😱Drinks are really expensive so had a drink in our room before going down, bed ultra comfy great night sleep. Breakfast for us let the hotel down continental was lovely and fresh but hot food dried out bacon and sausage and congealed eggs really put us off left put to long loved the fact you were served a pot of coffee each 👍🏻Overall would stay again.

Fab weekend break at Village - came with my partner for a relaxing 1 night stay. Used the gym and pool facilities - the pool is really big! Sauna and steam room both great and clean. We had an upgraded Club Room which wasn't particularly big, but the bed was huge and there was a big shower too. Tassimo machine was nice, we made good use of the giant flat screen TV and HD Sky package. Quiet stay - no noise from other rooms, slept very well. I have sensitive skin and often feel itchy in hotel sheets but no problems here.

Only bad things I can think of was that it was busy on check in - I think there was a wedding, and the staff were getting quite flustered when the rooms weren't ready on time. The location isn't amazing, but we didn't venture out into Bury.

Overall, just what we needed - thank you.

Having stayed here a few times before - this was by far the most disappointing. Our room (217) which we had paid extra for one of their superior rooms was surprisingly shabby - paint peeling on the lights, the window wouldn't shut properly, blinds wouldn't work, mold in the bathroom and when you used the shower it flooded the bathroom - so do not put any clothes on the floor - apparently this is not the only room this does this in.

On the plus side the bed was very comfy and we both had a really good nights sleep. Liked the big screen TV and having Sky kept hubby happy.
