Could do with air-conditioning in the rooms. Better disabled access to the pool and pool area.

Staff are great and helped make the weekend special, many thanks to them.
General tidiness of the disabled lift and outside areas could do with extra attention.

Everything was perfect with the hotel, rooms great until it was bed time...there had been banging and shouting all through the night so I didn't manage to get much sleep. Maybe security could walk up and down through the night.

Fantastic value for money, clean and comfy, plenty of facilities available with restaurant, spa, fitness and pool, Starbucks etc. Have stayed here a few times just as an escape and relax! Obviously will be back.

Friendly staff on arrival and at breakfast . Hotel was clean and tidy , but quite away out a lot of travelling to get to Manchester city centre. But a nice hotel as are all the village hotels that we have stayed in before.

Had a great time, could not fault it. The Sunday offer is amazing as well as the staff and rooms. We upgraded to the club room for an extra £9 after I received an email asking us to make them an offer to upgrade. Overall well worth the stay. I will definitely be staying again for that price.

My initial check-in and first impressions of the hotel were very good. The room I was initially given faced the busy M666 motorway and was noisy, after calling reception I was moved to a room on the back of the hotel. Unfortunately this room (220) was next door to a plant room of some sort and that was really noisy and off putting. I didn't ask for a second move - I really should have though.
The only other negative point was that the pull-cord to raise the blinds was snapped and there was a really small piece of cord to use. I managed but struggled.
Linen is top quality, room was really clean apart from dust on the blinds - more attention to detail needed. I would stay here again.

It is located at cross road position in the area, has a pool and gym center and very popular by the locals and busy. It has a nice sport bar at the ground and a starbucks point. I stayed in a club room which was large, clean and comfortable. Wifi at hotel is free and great, working problem free and very fast.

We had a great short break at the village hotel in bury for a family celebration of a 21st and 30th birthday. Ashleigh on reception was extremely helpful and brought the room keys to us and checked us all in whilst we sat in the sunshine on the balcony. The rooms were very clean and modern. The bar staff and restaurant staff were all really friendly a real credit to the Village Hotel group.

Well what can I stay, as a regular holiday in guest whilst out on business, I thought I would try something a bit different when I seen village on offer. Basically the room was lively, the wifi pretty damn fast, but it's pretty clear that village staff have no dentists as not one member of staff smiled the entire time I was there. I even smiled at a lady at breakfast, but now wish I hadn't - not difficult.

We stayed in this hotel for one night and although the room was clean and the facilities were good, I definitely wouldn't stay here again. We had room 115 which was on the first floor and right above the smoking/outside seating area. This meant that all night I was kept awake by shrieking drunk people and had to have the fan pointing at me all night as I couldn't sleep with the window open due to the noise (although you could still hear it through the glass). I think it finally stopped at about 3 - 3:30am then I could finally get to sleep. God help anyone who's staying there when there's a wedding/party night on!

My wife has recently joined the gym here and I joined her for the Aqua Fit session.
The men's changing rooms are currently being redecorated so myself and other men were using the family room, which was not ideal as on leaving as there were three times as many men than showers however I'm sure this won't be a problem when the decorating is completed.
The pool is great and plenty of room to lane swim before the class I liked the fact that everyone was swimming in the same direction.
The lady running the Aqua Fit was fab really enthusiastic which made it fun (sorry I don't know her name ) Great music too !
Rewarded ourselves with a meal in the restaurant afterwards which was lovely.
Pleasant bar staff.
Can't wait to go back.

We stayed at village hotel bury as 2 adults and 2 children. Good size hotel room, with great bathroom. Carvery was average and breakfast OK. Kids loved the swimming pool with the addition of floats made it a fab stay for them!

Our stay at the the village hotel in bury was fantastic. Defiantly good value for money. Everything was perfect at the hotel. The only small fault, was the directions to our room at the club room on the top floor was a little confusing. But everything else was spot on 😀 We have actually booked again to stay with yourselves this weekend.
Thank you again

Nice Hotel with plenty free parking. Club Room had a massive TV and SKY HD Package and bathroom was large, clean and modern. Really good amenities and easy walking distance to the Metrolink for Manchester. Overall had a great weekend away and was real value for money.
Only downside is no air conditioning and road noise from the motorway.

First stay for me at Village hotel. I arrived 10pm and was greeted with a checkin machine to do your booking and room key yourself. Fair enough. All worked ok but would have been nice someone saying "welcome". Eventually found my room. Sounds daft but the signage around the hotel is very confusing. One sign says reception floor 2, you take lift to floor 2, but reception is actually ground floor. My room was 175 and listed as first floor on lift sign. It actually on the ground floor. Not sure if two parts of hotel not joined up and you "got to go up to go down" but painful when lumping your bags around.

Big downside of automated checkin - no human element to put drunk people down another part of hotel. At 1.30am I was woken but lads kicking their door as key won't work, and arguing with each other. Just can't help to think if someone was there this problem would have been gone. As was rooms just assigned in a row and tough who you get next to you.

Plus side, the gym was well equipped and the pool and spa areas are good. No interaction from any staff though.

Breakfast was ok, but no smily faces from people. Again you in, sat, out...

Checkout, drop key, off you go..... nobody to say "goodbye"........

A clean, well kept hotel but needs to become a little bit more "personal".

Hi,
The hotel is not bad, but a bit dark for my taste. There is no light on the ceiling in the room, and the windows are small. The swimming pool was nice, and they have sauna too. The restaurant was amazing and the food was very tasty. I wouldn't go back, because of the customer service. At the arrival they told us that breakfast comes with the booking. It was toast, beans, eggs, the usual breakfast buffet, nothing special. After leaving the hotel in the afternoon I saw that they took money from my account for the breakfasts. 10 pounds per person per breakfast. I called the hotel for an explanation, as the breakfast was supposed to be included in our reservation, and the staff had plenty of opportunities to let us know if it wasn't. First I thought it was a mistake, but the receptionist said that she can't see our account and can't help, but she would get someone to contact us. No one contacted us, so I emailed the hotel the next day, but we got no response. So because of the unexplained charges after leaving the hotel, I wouldn't go back again.

We stayed at thus hotel following a party night. The service was very efficient, room clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone . My friends and I had a brilliant night when we attended a 'dirty dancing' tribute party night , and then stayed over at the hotel. It was lovely not to have to worry about taxis or pick ups late at night. Value for money was very good in a shared bedroom. Followed by a lovely relaxed breakfast the next morning before making our way back home.

Not liking self service at front of house, aside from this an excellent team and above average hotel. Breakfast buffet acceptable, we need warm croissants and chocolat au pain, espresso was brilliant, bar ladies and chap are consistently on top form, visited three times in last year, same staff ( low turnover) same high level.
