Great facilities with the pool and gym which we used a lot. The food was also to a high standard. Sky TV in the bedroom is something which I've never had at a hotel before which was great for switching off mentally before going to sleep. Lovely staff who were always smiling and made us feel very welcome.

First room we were given was facing the lifts and was really noisey at 3pm so we asked to be moved to a quieter room. The second room was much better. Bed was huge and very comfortable and room was nice.

When you upgrade to a club room and you 'enjoy' a few extras, one being Espa toiletries which are screwed to the walls as dispensers...not cool!

Staff were all fantastic - even banqueting staff and bar staff at the wedding

I booked the spa break for my daughters 30th .
The spa facilities and treatment excellent.
If i had to mention any negatives it would be that the swimming pool was very in the morning with children having swimming lessons.

I've stayed here once before and it seems to have had some upgrading since then and the rooms (I had a club room) are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. However, my room faced over the car park to the motorway, so was a bit noisy, and the window just had a venetian blind and didn't block out the light much. This is the end of June, so the room was light very early in the morning. Curtains would solve that.

Another aspect of the upgrade is in the IT - I could check in online which saved some time, and I could even unlock my room with my phone. While I'm not too sold on the actual requirement for this, it's quite impressive. Less impressive when it didn't work the second or third time I tried, but the staff didn't think it was enabled at all, and I had a proper key, so it wasn't a big deal. The disconnect between then that emails told me and what the staff knew was disappointing, but I'll put that down to teething problems with the new system - apparently, I was the first guest ever to have checked in with the app!

The leisure centre is very good. Popular with locals who join the club, it was busy but not overcrowded. The pool is 20m and was set up to make lane swimming easy, and the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were very good. A nice way to start the evening.

As others have mentioned, the hotel is quite remote. I walked about a mile into Bury which was pretty deserted, though I managed to find somewhere good to eat. The 'Rock' complex has free parking after 6pm that I could have used.

I stayed at Bury hotel for nearly a month and found not one fault the whole time. The staff are very professional and cater to your every need no matter how big or small. The pool and gym facilities are top of the range and suited my needs very well. The food was very good and they had a large variety that was changed everyday. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning on going to bury on business or for a holiday.

Had upgrade room and it was nice but overall too expensive, glad I did though as there was a wedding on in the main hotel and it was very noisy until early hours!!!
Breakfast only average and soft boiled eggs were hard and the porridge was a solid lump :-(
Pool ok but busy and gym being refurbished.

A fantastic hotel. Great facilities and spacious rooms. The pool area had enough space for lanes and a general area. Gym facilities had everything I needed from squat racks to cardio machines and a heavy tyre outside for something different! The food was delicious and a wide variety each day.
The point of difference for me was the outstanding service myself and my team received. Second to none.

A big thank you to Jodie and her team who tirelessly catered to all of our requests and needs throughout our 26 days there.
Friendly service and co-operation like this is why I will definitely be coming back in the future. Well done Village Hotel. I can't wait for my next visit!

Stayed one night with a special offer price of £20 and a discounted upgrade and breakfast. Huge room with coffee/tea facilities Sky TV and walk in shower. All very clean and comfortable. Have stayed several times before it's convenient for the motorway but on an industrial park so a bit isolated.
Great leisure facilities, large pool and gym/spa area.

Average stay, noting special, stay in better Hotels for cheaper price. Would stay again but only if I did not have a better option. Staff were OK, but got a spence it was more a health club than a hotel. Had to park at the back of the car park, because of every one using the gym. I think there such be parking near the hotel for people staying in the hotel. So they have not got far to carry baggage.

We really like it here and go for a relaxing few days. This was our fourth stay. This hotel set up really works. It's great to have a drink and meal in the Pub and watch the football on one of the many large screens and it's also a very pleasurable experience to have a delicious meal in The Verve Restaurant. The only area letting the place down is the Starbucks area which is grubby and worn. The upper deck rooms are well worth the upgrade but we did not appreciate being put at the front of the hotel this time where it was extremely noisy with parties of people gathering around the entrance and a very busy M66! The quieter rooms at the back were occupied by a very rowdy rugby team! Bizarre room allocation! I will make sure I get a quiet room next time.

Stayed here for a month and staff were very friendly and accommodating for all requests where possible. Food was very nice, which could have been a struggle but didn't get too repetitive for the month. Facilities were also very good and made use of the gym and pool mainly. Rooms were nice and comfy with big TVs and a nice bathroom. Would definitely stay again if in area.

The experience in the Village hotel made the time during the World Cup enjoyable and comfortable. The hotel were very accommodating for a large group and the staff offered any help when required. They were helpful and the ladies in the team room were second to none. The rooms were kept clean and the food each day was to a high standard between training.
The sky TV in rooms was an added bonus and excellent gym and swimming facilities.
I'd highly recommend the village hotel and thanks again on behalf of the team.

Stayed here for around 3 weeks with the u20 Scotland team and had a great time. The staff (Jodie and her team) did over and above what was expected of them and helped us out with everything. The rooms were large with big TVs which helped us pass the time well.

On arriving at the hotel I was very impressed with its appearance. and how easy it was to check in.
We stayed in an upper deck room and it was lovely, modern decor and great extras (never seen a TV so big in a hotel before).
The hotel has everything, dining, drinking chilling etc.
My only complaint would be that the room wasn't the cleanest, there was a champagne cork left in the middle of the room and the bathroom could have been cleaned better.
All in all, I can't wait to go back
