We arrived at the hotel just before 4pm. Reception was full with wedding guests as they were awaiting a wedding, this caused a very awkward check in with wedding guests all around us. Wedding disco music then kept us awake till 1am, I understand they are celebrating but a warning from the hotel prior to our arrival would have been nice.
The room was big and spacious - however attention to detail needs some work with some damage to the walls and stickers peeling off the desk . The bathroom again was nice and big, shower was great but this came with mould all around the silicone.
We were woken on the first morning by a cockerel in a van parked in the car park. Assuming this was a guest but after not getting any sleep till 1am this was not what we wanted to be woken up to as soon as the sun came up.
The noise from downstairs is so loud and not relaxing. With it having a pub attached the noise travels and customers clearly do not respect the paying guests in the actual hotel.

The reception team was welcoming and friendly and the bar staff too.
Food was good.

I really enjoyed my stay as everyone was friendly and helpful. I did not have one as I couldn't remember if my booking included breakfast.

Modern well appointed hotel. Great health club facilities and a rare find of a healthy menu in the restaurant / bar. Almost felt like a gym with a hotel rather than the other way around! Won't hesitate to return when in the area

So, good pool, gym and sauna. Great sports bar. 20 mins walk from Bury centre. Room 232 has some dodgy stains on the carpet bur otherwise a good room. I like it here. But I do find it irritating that they have ribs, katsu curry and sea bass on the menu, and they NEVER have them available. Sort it out man.
Staff are great.

Nyle and Elizabeth were a true asset to the company and made my stay spectacular. Would come back to stay whenever I’m in town lizzie and Nyle deserve a huge pay rise. Security Shaz and Aqueeb was amazing sorting out people in the events over the weekend

I have recently had the pleasure of organising our company AGM at this hotel and I have to say, the team made it an absolute delight to do. Jessica Greenbank handled all our booking and planning and did a fantastic job. On the day of our event, we had the amazing Claire Smith on hand to look after us all and that she did brilliantly. In fact, all the team were very professional, unbelievably attentive and 100% on it. Nothing was to much trouble. I would have no hesitation in booking with this hotel again and hopefully get looked after by the same team. All the best from team CG.

We stay at the Village in Bury multiple times per year when travelling over as a group from Ireland. Joanne looks after all our booking requirements with great efficiency ready for our arrival. Our most recent stay was at the start of May with almost 50 people in our group and as always the team were superb. Alex and Faith in the bar took great care of everyone during our stay. The range of facilities available are of a really high standard and having a Starbucks in the hotel is an extra bonus. We will be back in August.

Room size is large and comfortable. Unlucky that they don't have a fridge inside the room. For house keeping, they did come every day but obviously they did not clean the shower space. The food and drinks at the grill restaurant is excellent.

ok. clean, good size room . I didn’t have time for breakfast so they offered to make a take out but I didn’t have time to wait. not good lighting - all lamps and not good for working at night. doors slammed (no soft closure) and could hear the bar music till 11:30pm even though I was on the second floor near the back of the hotel.

Cabrini in the bar was absolutely amazing. Brilliant service, really took care of us personally and made sure we enjoyed every minute we were there. Individual service like that is hard to find and she's an absolute credit to Village Bury

I used the Village Hotel for the delivery of a 3 day training course in late April. The room was at the front end of the hotel and was smaller than those I had used last year, though I guess during the latter phases of the pandemic the demand was lower and I had more choice. Throughout the 3 days my main contacts (Alison Rider and Claire Smith) were extremely helpful, whether it was resolving IT difficulties or helping with issues around the lunch menu. The latter was also not up to the standard of last year, with little or minimal choice, but Alison & Claire did offer alternatives on an ad-hoc basis. (mainly for me, as I am a fussy eater!).
Overall I felt I was in capable hands and the staff cared about my experience at the hotel. With a wider food menu and a larger room, I would have given it 5 stars.

We didn't stay here as we live locally. We decided to try it for Sunday lunch, bad decision. Firstly it resembles a snack bar not somewhere to eat Sunday lunch, secondly only one choice of meat beef which we dislike. Thirdly the alternative menu choice was poor, to say the least. The food quality was not good when compared with other local pubs offering Sunday lunch. My advice would be to find an another place to eat even if you're staying there.
