The location for the Village in Bury is easy to find with plenty of spaces to park. Reception was pleasant, quick and easy to book in. The room itself was O.K., but lacked a spare seat or chair. For some reason our kettle was not all that clean, but inside was O.K. Shower was easy to operate and neither too hot nor too cold, could have done with a couple of glasses in the bathroom though please. Pillows on the bed were exceedingly hard, I ended up rolling up a large towel, that was comfy for me.

Can here for a Wedding, was great.

Check in was fun to say the least. Booking.com could not take payment due to problems with the hotel! So was told to pay upon arrival. Getting to the hotel was fine, but at check in we were turned away as we had cash not card. They wouldn't let us pay the next day when I would be able to put the money into my bank, it was 8pm. Iv emailed the manager also.

Excellent hotel, room was big and clean. Bed was comfy. Excellent facilities. Shower was big high powered. Couple of minor things the hotel have now removed bins from the room which I was told by staff this is their new policy which is laughable. Also found the remote for the fan missing which meant it could be used properly. Last thing I was charged by Expedia for the stay and then got charged again when I checked in, although have refunded back my money after me pointing this out when checking out. Overall I would use the hotel again just hope the little things get sorted.

The village hotel was the best I have visited as the staff all went beyond the norm to make all customers welcome
A lot of thought has been put into this hotel and management should be proud of it's staff

Check in fine, USB charging points didn't work in both sockets either side of bed, reported it, ended with them giving us plugs with USB ports in back. Didn't actually mend sockets. Only get 4 small milks need 2 for each coffee, need to have at least 8, to enable a coffee in the evening and one in the morning

It was our first time in a Village Hotel and after this excellent experience we will look for other Village group hotels first when going on our travels. Excellent facilities, great friendly staff, comfortable beds, cosy rooms. I would recommend booking a club room if possible which gives you access to the spa and pool

Just got home from a 1 night spa break here and we loved it. Cannot recommend enough. We were pleasantly surprised to find we had been upgraded to a club room which was fab! Super stylish modern and spotlessley clean. Huge tv with sky channels and huge comfy bed also walk in shower. Treatments were amazing the whole spa is gorgeous and so chilled. Evening meal in the pub was top notch and service fantastic. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Couldn't find anything to fault this place and we will definitely be returning. Thanks too all at the village :) x

We stayed over at The Village Bury as part of a wedding that we attended. The hotel was modern and comfortable and all the staff were very friendly and approachable. A special mention for the staff in the function room & bar area as they were excellent. Pool facilities were also great! Would recommend to anyone needing somewhere to stay in the Bury area.

I arranged a group meeting today for northern engineers and had lunch in the pub afterwards. I have to say the service and helpfulness of the staff was cracking. Elliot was really good, checking on our comfort and food throughout the afternoon. I really will recommend our future meets to be held in Bury. Well done to all involved.

Stayed again at the Village Hotel Bury with 3 other girls for a spa break, the treatments were amazing and a great price. The welcome on arrival is always so friendly, the new beds are so comfy both me and my friend slept right through. The hotel always has excellent offers. I highly recommend this hotel, its a great atmosphere and the pool and gym are also excellent.

Hotel is really easy to get to from the motorway. Great facilities - room is really spacious. The bathroom has a good strong shower. Great breakfast - very busy on a satuday morning but staff were great.

We stayed here for a night with our children when visiting the area,
It is a very well presented hotel in an easy to find location.
The staff are lovely, rooms are nice and well kept.
We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very tasty, even the kids finished all their food.
Breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast,
Sausage, bacon, beans, mushrooms, egg. Toast, cereals etc.
Only thing that spoilt our night was the noisy family in
neighbouring room, came in at 11.30pm with screaming kids and shouting till 1am. Oh and the lack of air conditioning was disappointing. The kids got passes due to an August summer promotion that gave them free drinks and icecream and free access to the pool, although we were still charged for the kids drinks with our meal which was the only drinks they had during the stay. So don't know where these free drinks were. Also the girl on reception didn't know anything about the kids passes when I asked what the offer included.

We stay here a lot and on this occasion the breakfast service was very poor came down to breakfast to find not much hot food asked a waitress was more coming out she did say she would go and see but none came out so ended up with one sausage and a spoonful of beans, breakfast costing £15 very poor availability on the breakfast hot and cold, it was only nine o’clock so it wasn’t like it was late and the breakfast was finishing

Can for a spa day with some work friends as finally got some time to relax and take a day for ourselves. Girls in the spa are super nice and helpful. I had Amy for my treatment and I can not thank her enough. Made me super relaxed and making the facial more personal is a nice touch. Being able to use the pool etc is good as well. Advice using the pool between 12-2 as no children allowed at this time helps with the relaxing. Thankyou will recommend

Nice friendly staff. We didn’t get the relaxing time in the pool we had hoped for. Not the place to relax. Nice room just a little dark. Lovely breakfast and the staff noticed when we needed to move tables for our evening meal.

The first night was awful, due to it being extremely hot in the room and having a noisy couple in the next room who seemed to be up all night👎

What’s good - staff friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Room generally well equipped, very clean, good housekeeping. Gym very well equipped. Pool very good.
Less good - room doesn’t cope with hot weather. Ventilation limited, though Dyson fan helped. Food quality and choices at breakfast were mediocre. Food quality Sunday lunch likewise.
Disappointing - loud intrusive music ( mainly screechy ballads) in all public areas made conversation difficult. Reworking of bar/restaurant and it’s bar into one space. It’s no longer a restaurant experience, just like going into a pub instead. Not an improvement, and did I mention the appalling music?
Overall, lodging works well, food & beverage less so

We were very pleased with the room (137) as we were upgraded to a club room but it was a long walk through to the back of the hotel (up 1 floor, 2 corridors then down 2 floors). The room was great, with free water, wi-fi and a dyson air fan. (otherwise there was no air con).It was large and the TV was enormous. The bathroom was good but no handrails in the shower(so not good for my aged husband). We left after breakfast (£9.99 each) the following morning to go to a wedding.
On our return at 8pm our key cards did not work and our room had not been cleaned. Reception were not interested in the cleaning aspect and we had to phone housekeeping. This was after going to our room, back to reception and back to our room. Quite a trek for 2 70 year olds. Housekeeping sorted out clean towels, coffee and water but obviously the room was not cleaned.
Next morning we had breakfast at the pub over the road and it was just as good as this hotel but only cost £4.99 each.
So mixed reactions.
