This hotel is fine for a nights stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable with a good shower. We had a quick bite to eat in the restaurant and whilst the service was very good from friendly staff, the food was poor. Chicken on my club sandwich was dry and tough. Very busy and lively feel and in general all ok

The room was spacious but the bed very low down and struggled with a bad back. But was a comfy bed! The bathroom stunk of vinegar/silicone. Breakfast was good just had to ask if veggie options were available and they had to check for me!

Everything from the check in experience, to the food and overall atmosphere has been great! We will certainly use this hotel for all future business trips to Bury and rate it not only for the good value vs. the facilities / amenities available, but also for the friendliness of the staff and hassle free service:) Thank you for a very pleasant stay and see you soon!

Stayed here on a Sunday night and it was quite good.
The rooms have everything you need and the bed was comfortable enough.
The window blind only just covered the window so plenty of light came through, which I dislike as I like to sleep in darkness.

The Hotel staff were nice and friendly, nice clean bedroom. The only negative Lack of pillows due to a large booking and they ran out of pillows, the manager made up for it by offering me a free coffee at Starbucks.

Visited on a Black Friday offer. Really good value for money 2 course dinner and a bottle of wine. Restaurant was being refurbished and they had fashioned a small area, which was fine. Food and service really good. I would definitely come again. THANKS!!!!

A great day was had, came away feeling relaxed and revitalised. However, wasn't impressed with the restaurant, service was slow and menu was limited. Would definitely return for the Spa but will eat elsewhere in future.

Lovely hotel great rooms comfy beds. Staff at hotel helpful and nice. The only negative was the breakfast is over priced for what you get or in there case "dont" theres hardly any choice not even hash browns no pastries and rest of the breakfast wasn't great. Premier inn has the best breakfast plenty of choice at a fraction of the price. There is a great pub on the complex and they do better breakfast

This hotel is a little overprices for its location and standards offered but nevertheless, it is a great business hotel, highly functional with all services needed on site. The rooms are very comfortable, the quality of the bed and the linens are at PAR to a similar level of hotels. The soap and shampoo dispensers are a little flimsy and they need to be better fixed. I will come back again when needed to be in the Bury area.

Attended naughty nineties night or my sisters hen do and stayed over with my mum. Food at the event took a long time to come out and the main meal wasn't very good especially the veggie option as my sister and mum ended up with a bowl of dry rice and veggies. The event otherwise was good (prossecco was expensive). Tried to order room service but the app didn't work. Staff said they will report to IT. All staff very friendly. Great service with breakfast too. Room was nice/comfy and plenty of room. Would stay again.

We paid just shy of £150 for a one nights stay in a club room. Our friend paid just shy of £190 for a club room too.
We have stayed in many B&Bs with better decor, facilities and cleanliness for much less!
Our first room had no lightening and we asked to move rooms. Our second room had much bigger lighting. However, there were so many stains on the carpet, something on the couch that we didnt want to investigate and the sky TV didnt work. Luckily, we didn't watch it anyway.
The gym wasnt up to much either.

We did like the Starbucks downstairs, especially as we were only provided with one coffee pod for the coffee machine in our room.

The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep.

Room was quite dated, I’ve stayed at a club room here before which is far nicer. Bathroom needs an extractor fan, windows are mouldy, cups were chipped.

Not enough simple facilities and lighting for late room booking cost. No mini fridge, lighting was so poor we struggled to get ready. Probably looked like clowns! Hot room, no air con but fan that was mediocre.

A lovely break this weekend made even better with a one night stay at The Village.
The room and facilities were good but could’ve been perfect with the addition of bathrobes in the room. We had a club room and the deal included access to the Swimming pool area which has a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
The breakfast was plentiful and had a good selection to choose from. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast choice was average but the tea making facility was poor. We were given a luke warm flask of water to make tea. She I asked for hotter water I was given another flask which was from the same batch that had been there since before we arrived.

Came here for training from work, wonderful clean place spotless toilets friendly staff and clean carpets. While there a couple of us (the nosy ones) had a good look around and I must say that pool looks absolutely fantastic and we decided to book a treat day while there we can’t wait. While there we had drinks and lunch and the food was first class and we decided to have all our training there 😂😂 thank you for your superb hospitality x

I stayed here for a Fri-Sat on a combined business leisure trip. I generally live in hotels for about 15% of the year so am generally unimpressed by "features" but more so by simple things like cleanliness, bed comfort, shower effectiveness and some control over heating/ventilation and peace and quiet.

The Village is a hugely popular place judging by the number of people thronging the outside entrance (clouds of smoke!). The "reception" seems to be situated in the middle of the noise and bustle but at least had the benefit of a self check in system which alleviates the long irritating waits behind queues of people all wanting to quiz the reception staff about local events etc etc. create your own key card is the way forward!

One of the reasons for the bustle was the use of the Gym so be prepared to be made to look fat and unfit as a parade of gym bunnies in lycra pass by with dragged back hair and unfeasibly large bags.

There is also a very popular sports bar/restaurant and Starbucks cafe which, at 5pm on a Friday night was rammed.

The room was big, garishly adorned with hallucinogenic stripes with the usual TV, kettle etc. It wasn't exactly spotless and felt a little worn - particularly in the bathroom.

It became apparent that the hotel is a very well used venue with regular tribute nights, weddings and other celebratory functions. I take my hat off to the Hotel as they have obviously hit on a winning formula to keep their occupancy rates high and their non-room income healthy.

Of course, you can guess what the drawback of this is. The noise. My sleep was disrupted most of the night with the usual people under the influence of alcohol who can only converse by yelling - the large terrace is a magnet for them and my window opened over them. I naturally closed it but was then faced with a very warm room.

What was worse was the noise from the corridors with guests talking loudly, opening and closing doors and actually running up and down. It was like being back on your first school trip abroad. This carried on all night until eventually, the room next door decided to put the TV on a music channel at 6.00am in the morning. It seems that the soundproofing is minimal here.

I don't feel it is right to mark a hotel down for being successful and, looking through the reviews, it obviously hits the spot for people who come for the vents and celebrations. However,I wish I had known that before I booked as I would have decided to act like the old fogey I am am and gone for somewhere a little quieter.

Two more points.

1.The staff are great! Well done - it makes a huge difference.

2. The large imposing frontage has a very large stone staircase. I wonder how many people like me got their suitcases out of the car, trundled them to the stairs and then discovered no ramp and then had to heave them up (while being passed by the gym bunnies who were trotting up the stairs)? It would have been useful to see clear signage for accessible entry and warnings on the website in line with the Equality Act anticipatory duty?

Not for me but may well be for you!

We could not fault the staff as they were super efficient and really friendly. Natalie on reception was lovely and really helpful. Faith in the restaurant was really nice too and took care of all our needs.
The food was delicious!
Our rooms were well equipped and nice and clean.
Would definitely return again!
