Myself & my friend hadvabgreat time here. I hadva gift voucher for tgebsoa so we used that during our stay. The downside is the pool area didn't have the spa feel as it was noisy & full of children having swimming lessons & lots of adult spectators. All areas were full like the sauna, steam room & the Jacuzzi. So this was a shame. We had just had a lovely relaxing treatment in the spa then We go into a non relaxing, loud area. It feels like it should be divided or more facilities created. We also attended the dancing through the decades event on the same day which was Great! We had a lovely time. Thanks.

Clean hotel, they have Starbucks and a bar and grill downstairs. Always seems to be busy on a Saturday night. The staff is great and friendly. They also have s indoor pool and gym, which you have access to if you get a club room.

The only downfall is that you get charged extra for the use of the 24hr gym, but cannot access this as a paying guest of the hotel until 0730hrs. All of the facilities in the hotel were great, food was great, bar was great, staff were great.

Easy check in even though it was very late. I couldn’t get the tassimo machine to work even though I followed the instructions.

Good hotel with new restaurant and lounge. Rooms could be better as too much noise from other rooms. Temperature very warm even though heating off so made it uncomfortable to sleep. Overall still a good stay.

Two night stay for a business event. Room was decorated with garish stripes on the carpet and wall, dark and imposing. Not conducive with a calm, restful place. Noise throughout my stay -from within the hotel. I had ear plugs (which helped a bit) would not have slept at all without them!
Food is overpriced, mostly fried and poor choice if you chose to pre pay for dinner, as this is a set menu.
Staff were helpful and on the whole friendly-especially in the gym area.
Gym facilities are fantastic-worth paying extra for. I didn’t use the pool-it looked lovely but I was told it had excessive chlorine with affected comfort of some.
I wouldn’t stay here again, unless the rooms were redecorated and the menu updated.

We have been here before and the hotel was great... back then. They have got rid of the toning tables, the poor area, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were in a poor and grubby condition. The bar prices are RIDICULOUS.

Professional and welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble. Food was nice. We were on a bed, breakfast and evening meal voucher and room and dinner booking was organised. Not too sure on dark corridors.

Great stay and 2 night stay for the dance through the decades little disappointed as I would of preferred a band and singer rather than a DJ. Great breakfast, shower and facilities excellent will stay again.

I always have a good stay at the Village, Bury.
Excellent room and facilities.
The breakfast was good, something to suit everyone.
My only criticism is I would rather have a kettle than a coffee machine in the room.

Enjoyed the whole experience. As a couple we was able to relax and enjoy a meal and drinks. There was a good atmosphere in the bar, everyone seemed very friendly indeed. Had a really good nights sleep and the breakfast the next morning was really nice.
I would have enjoyed staying a little longer to make use of the gym, spa, pool etc. Hoping we can do this in the future.

We visited here last week after booking the spa and stay deal.

We arrived slightly early so was not able to check in on arrival which was fine as we grabbed some lunch. When we checked in the first room given to us was freezing. We checked the windows which were old and tired. There was a large gap and the window would not fully close. It looked like somebody had put blue tack on the window which had not helped.

We phoned reception who said they would send up maintenance but after suggesting to move rooms they accommodated this. The second room was not freezing however the window was still old and had a slight gap. This is something that needs reviewing by the hotel. However the rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean.

Part of the deal included a facial at the spa at the hotel. Unfortunately on arrival the therapists explained that there was ongoing construction work upstairs which we would be able to hear. As we had booked the spa late in the day we could not move the time but the spa was very apologetic and said they had not been warned by the hotel upstairs and it had only just started (5pm).

Whilst it was difficult to relax the facial was lush. The spa have offered for us to return at a later date for another treatment and arranged for us to have complimentary breakfast the following day. It would have been better in the hotel notified us before our stay or on arrival.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening and was given a set menu and a glass of prosecco (part of the deal). There was several options and the food was lovely. The only downside was we could not order drinks at the table so had a long wait at the bar. Breakfast was declicious, staff were very attentive and friendly.

Apart from the issues with the windows and construction work we was happy with our stay. We are looking forward to revisiting the spa again.

After a long flight our room was ready 2 hours before the allocated check in time and not made to feel as if we were inconvenient to the staff which is always a bonus after international travel.
The room was facing the car park and unfortunately for us we arrived on a Saturday so could hear the party happening outside in our room.
The bar is excellent, great staff both for breakfast and the evening meals. The staff seem always happy to go that extra mile to help.

Stayed here with my boyfriend - lovely evening meal in the hotel restaurant with gorgeous cocktails, room was beautiful and we were upgraded upon arrival. Couldn’t fault a thing, so clean and great value for money - we would definitely stay again!

We booked a club room to use the facilities downstairs. Unfortunately the pool was full of children having swimming lessons and we spent 45 minutes waiting for the jacuzzi whilst it was hogged by a group of men.
Our hotel room was very spacious but absolutely filthy. The bathroom still had toilet paper on the floor from the last user and there were paper marks in the back of the door. The shower leaked all over the floor so you couldn’t use the loo without getting wet feel. The lighting was also horrendous. The mirror was place down the end of the room where there was no lighting whatsoever - not good for ladies wanting to get ready!
The pillow cases were in inside out, there was a huge hole in the bed sheet and hairs in the bed. And the head board paint was peeling off.
The night time staff tried to charge me agin as I paid through Expedia. They put a bill under our door for the full amount again plus an early checkin charge which we paid upon checkin. When we checked out the lovely lady on the desk explained their connection to Expedia wasn’t working properly and no one had put it on the system that we paid for our early checkin. Make sure you get receipts!
The new bar is nice though and good for sports fans.
Overall we were thoroughly disappointed at the £106 we paid for the night and to use the facilities.

Not the best Village Hotel I’ve been to but certainly a good standard and way better than a lot of other chain hotels.

Nice to have the pub part as well with decent food. Very tasty.

Staff were friendly and kind.

Room was clean.

Only complaint is that the room itself was the same temperature as the surface of the sun...

I asked reception if we could have a better fan as the one provided was terrible. Also asked if the window could be opened more. No too both requests.

Still a decent hotel and I will likely visit again.

Stayed at many Village Hotels including this one. Room and pool were great - dining experience was not as there was no restaurant, only a noisy bar area. No one explained this when we booked dinner bed and breakfast. Not the romantic meal we were hoping for!

A friend and I visited for a spa day that included use of the facilities, treatments in the spa and a light lunch in between.

The facilities were good; accessible and clean.

The treatments in the spa were great: pleasant staff, nice area and an enjoyable experience.

The only negative was our lunch. We had preordered although our order had not been passed on. This wasn’t too much of a problem as we just reordered.

We had between us the chicken tenders and the chicken wrap. On arrival I was concerned the chicken in the wrap wasn’t fully cooked. We looked at a few bits within the wrap and decided to take it back. One waitress immediately wanted to replace the wrap whilst the other wanted to bring it back to our table to inspect.

After it was taken back to the kitchen the waitress came back to tell us that the chef didn’t see a problem with the chicken and thought it was fine, but seeing as we’d complained I could have a new one.

I found this very rude and belittling. The rest of my time within the restaurant was quite uncomfortable and I wanted to leave as soon as possible.

When the new wrap came over, the same waitress stated she’d come back over to check I was happy with this one, but that did not happen.

We left and went to the attached Starbucks for pudding.
