Easy self check in with assistance if required.
Room was large, very modern with a huge TV. The walk in shower was superb.
We spent a lot of time in the bar and the service was excellent.
Morning breakfast was decent not a great deal of choice but again service and surroundings were good.
Overall a very nice hotel with good service.
One negative point. Who on earth picked the turquoise & grey decoration in the hotel corridors!!!! Awful!!!

Love this venue but Christmas party not up to scratch, food poor snd management of the bar unorganised and chaotic. Entertainment very good and it would not put me off staying at hotel but think the whole mass cooking was something they did not pull off very well. Staff were fabulous but lacked positive leadership where the gin bar was concerned.

I stayed here back in September for a function on a sunday morning. We didnt have a great experience on the saturday night with where our room was allocated as it was so noisy.
We have just returned from our 2nd stay and it was fantastic 2 floor rooms are so quiet we had a brillaint night sleep.

Breakfast is very organised

5min uber ride to bury then a 30min tram ride bury to victoria will take you into the centre of manchester.

You have restored our faith in village hotels thank you

Just had our works Xmas part at the Village.
Food was good !
Hotel is nice and spacious , in the reception area they have a Starbucks too.
Service in the hotel bar was good considering it was busy being the party season.
I had a club room which was spacious with a huge comfy bed and great show.
Our company had approx 30 staff staying , no complaints from the staff.
This is the 3rd year we have organised our Xmas party for the staff at the Village - it’s a firm favourite with our team which sums up how good it is.

I had heard quite a lot about Village hotels and wasn’t to keen staying there for the overnight stay for our Christmas party, I was pleasantly surprised! I am not sure if this was because my expectations were low or that standards have risen. The checkin system was easy, especially for a large party like ours , my room was clean, quiet and spacious and the breakfast was reasonably good. One of my only criticisms is the directions for the rooms, there doesn’t seem to be any logic to the signage and it ends up like hunt the room! One of our party, I heard going round in circles trying to find a colleagues room, could be still looking for all I know! A maze ing like Hotel!!

We attended a Christmas party on Sunday 9th December and I have to say the whole evening was very well organised. The food arrived hot (which is a lovely change at such a large event) and was great value for the price of the 80's event. There was a fire alarm scare during the night and again it was handled professionally and did nothing to spoil the evening. I would highly recommend the Village Hotel for any occasion. The whole evening was very well organised...greeted at the door, bar staff, waiters/waitress, floor manager, DJ..,all great.

Let's start with the positives....good atmosphere within the village, clean hotel room, live band and disco were brilliant, waiting on staff were polite and helpful.

Negatives; reception need to smile when someone arrives and is friendly toward them, Starbucks was a welcome sight within reception BUT it's am overpriced franchise that doesn't allow you to add points on your loyalty card.
I paid 47 quid for my party ticket, I have a Vegan diet and had spoken to the hotel in advance, being promised alternatives. The starter was soup which was bland and lacked seasoning, credit for the main which was curry and really tasty....my biggest gripe is dessert! I was promised fruit salad and sorbet (Yep, typical cop out pudding for a Vegan diet, especially when you're attending such a big venue and paid nearly 50 quid!!)...anyway, it arrived in an 80's tin pudding bowl, no fruit in sight, a dollop of what can only be described as Bramley Apple sauce with 2 scoops of sorbet. Awful. Just awful. I couldn't eat it.
We had no welcome drink or water on the table. I was so disappointed!

The entertainment was great and the company obviously made the night. I will be talking the team into trying somewhere else next year!

Stayed at this hotel twice & looking forward to our 3rd stay on 23rd Dec they have some great offers on, we have stayed in both standard & club rooms both are to a high standard, the bar area is a lovely place to socialise, the restaurant is lovely food was amazing & breakfast is to a high standard also served in there. Staff on arrival & around the hotel were all very freindly. If booking a club room you get full use of gym & swimming pool too, we have stayed in many hotels around the world and this is really nice for the price especially when they have offers on its a well worth it book with confidence you wont be disappointed

I have been moving around hotels in the Manchester area trying to find one that is both comfortable and has good food nearby and I have finally found it
The room is very comfortable with a very large tv and fab bathroom
Only negative points are poor internet late at night and a not much in the way of coffee and biscuit offerings
However, dinner is very well provided both in the hotel or for something a bit cheaper at the pub next door

We called into The Village Hotel for drinks and food. There is a separate bar area which is very friendly, great atmosphere and friendly staff. The restaurant is a bit more up market and the food is very good value. Drinks are a little expensive for the north I found but they regularly do deals.
Very nice overall and will definitely return

Lady with blond hair on reception was not friendly at all on our arrival although other reception staff were lovely. Room was clean however, there was no bar fridge and the coffee machine wasn`t working. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was great as were the Espa products on offer. The pool area was really nice but the leisure reception staff were also not friendly. Bar area was old and lots of the seats in the booths were ripped with foam sticking out. Good television screens (plenty enough for a good view if you wanted to watch sports). The gill area was used for breakfast and the staff there were great. Breakfast was nice although the poached eggs we requested were very hard boiled so we left them (minor problem I know). Easy to park car however, access was difficult for disabled or if you have a large suitcase as you have to go right round the far side of the building and the path was not flat. Close by, there was a pub and only a short drive to shops and Bury centre where you can get a black pudding!

2nd stay this year. Easy check in using check in machines that also allow you to program your own room card.

Rooms are clean with a good shower.

Had a couple of drinks in the bar before going to the grill for dinner. Warm friendly service in the bar. We started a tab so that was a plus. If there is football on, expect the TV to be showing it.

Food in the grill was very good. Decent choice, again served in a friendly but proficient manner.

Breakfast was a buffet. Good selection, the eggs are cooked fresh and bought to the table.

Overall everything was good and just what you need for a business trip and overnight stay.

Stayed for just one night on business but found the place to be great. Staff very friendly, facilities in room excellent and a pretty cool pub too. Ate in the village grill which was also a very enjoyable experience other than our bottle of Malbec delivered to the table in an ice bucket!

This is the second time we've stayed as a couple however my partner used to stay there when he was working near Manchester. Lovely hotel with great rooms, lovely food (only had breakfast), great leisure facilities and an on site Starbucks. Check in is automatic via a touch screen, but still someone there to make it go smoothly. We've had a club room when we've stayed (both times) but my partner used to have a standard room. Nice touch having the Tassimo coffee maker, very large comfy bed and a fab selection of sky channels. The bathroom is a good size with an awesome shower and very nice shower gel etc (forgot mine!). The hairdryer is a good one too and didn't take ages to dry my hair (like you usually get).
Will definitely stay there again!

We had the most amazing wedding at the village hotel bury in September, we booked it 2 years before and we definitely were not the easiest of people to deal with changing our minds all the time! However Louise and Tina were very helpful and accommodating with everything we wanted I could not recommend having both of them involved in your wedding planning enough!

The food (wedding breakfast and buffet) was amazing, we had canapés, beef dinner and cheesecake it was perfect! everyone commented on how nice it was and how amazing the portions were... the bar staff were also great and very friendly even at the end of the night when some guests were very drunk haha!

I would definitely recommend the village to have a wedding at and even just to stay we’ve stayed there multiple times and the rooms are always very clean and so comfortable!

Thankyou for everything to everyone at the village
