Well placed stop just off the M66. Handy for Manchester. Room was large and comfortable with a brilliant bathroom and shower. I don’t think I’ve stayed in a hotel with a larger bed.

The staff were excellent, especially the reception staff. The rooms were clean, comfortable and inviting. Car parking is trouble free and the hotel itself is conveniently situated. The Club accommodation was a bit difficult to find at first but once you had the hang of it, it was fine. There is great potential for improving the Club side of the hotel by landscaping the grass area next to the river and providing access there. Overall an excellent experience.

Our stay was great from the start with the quick check in to the friendly staff that assisted with that. To the which the room was very upto date clean and well presented. Breakfast was very good. Also the evening meal we had one night at hotel was excellent. The spa facilities was good to. Overall would highly recommend to anyone.

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed here, but this was one of my best stays.Firstly, on arrival, the reception was properly staffed so I didn't have to use the iffy self-check-in terminal at the end of a long day. Just that small thing made the whole experience more pleasant.Took a swim in the pool to unwind.Koftas and salad with a beer for dinner was fine.Wifi connection was stable while I worked in the evening.Breakfast was ample, if limited.Easy check-out.All-in-all, everything I wanted at a reasonable price.

Weekend trip for a wedding good location, hotel itself has great facilities and caters for everyone. Food and drink very good value for money. Gym is state of the art and can see why this is used outside hotel guests. Starbucks a good touch too.

The rooms are really nice, good bed. The pub and the restaurant are good; so a good place to stay and not to drive to any locations in the evening. The staff at breakfast was quite behind that good rating which has killed a good impression at the end. Anyhow, a place worth to stay.

Cannot say enough positives about the Village hotel and every one it's helpful & friendly staff members. After having stayed there a few times previously and enjoying the great in-house bar many times, my wife and I thought the Village would be ideal to host our wedding reception, and we were not disappointed. The communication within the planning stages is very thorough, thoughtful and clear, and after having a pre-wedding meeting with 3 very polite and easy going members of staff regarding the day itself, we instantly felt at ease about the big day. On the day itself, everything ran perfect from start to finish with no issues at all. The amount of time, care, and detail that went into transforming the room into an amazing place for our reception was astounding. Thank you to all involved for your hard work guys! Would recommend The Village to any other couple in or around the Manchester area who are considering a venue for their wedding reception. The rooms themselves are so modern and impressive, maybe the cleanest, snazziest and coolest room I've personally stayed in, but I knew this before the wedding night anyway. =) Upon entering our room on the wedding night itself we found we had been left with a bottle of bubbly and a lovely picture frame with our names in and the date of our big day (18/8/18) that had been crafted with little squares, like Scrabble squares but better lol. Looking forward to hanging the picture up in our house (we have only just got back from our honeymoon). Sorry for waffling and going on with myself, but I just had alot to say about how highly my wife and I regard The Village! =)

I found the hotel clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful however the prices could be better. The breakfast was good and plenty of it The fact that we were going to stay just the one night we got executive service threw out our stay

Expensive hotel, no air conditioning. Small windows and poor lighting making the room dark. When the windows were open there motorway noise was evident. Breakfast was extra cost as was the health club. Restaurant was good but very pricey. Disabled access although provided was not the best. Overall not what I would expect for price.

My hubby and i have stayed in many village hotels.
We think bury is the best mainly because of the staff on reception, in the bar and restaurant.
The staff are so friendly and give the best service.
We would definitely recommend it...

Was expecting a happy experience and due to booking system was let down.Hotel itself was positive and restaurant was value for money. Starbooks handy on site and popular with guests. Gym facilities also good.

Visited for a wedding party. Well impressed with the room especially the walk-in shower and Sky Sports and Movies. It's a pity we didn't have much time to watch. Regret not taking our swimming gear as the pool looks fab. Next time

no air con really brought the experience down. everything else was fine. but just too hot to be comfortable or get a good nights sleep. also there was a poster on check in advertising spa treatments on a Sunday, yet when we tried to book they said they had no availability???

Really nice hotel, friendly and welcoming staff. Loads of parking. Great facilities. Breakfast was the standard buffet but really good. The room was very spacious and had sufficient amenities.I do feel a bit robbed though as I paid just under £100 for the night, when my bf checked he could get the same room for £60. Bit disappointed with that fact and unsure why it happened.

Came and stayed so we could visit the arcade club. Lovely hotel and average room. I found it a little expensive for what it was. I paid extra for the leisure services but then later got asked of i would like to upgrade my room, which had them services included anyway. Did not get a refund.

Room was clean but sparse. The bed was extremely low, as was the wash basin (only thigh high) - I assume it was an adapted room that had been allocated to us. There was a lot of audible noise from the adjoining room (could hear their television and phone conversations) and from above (heavy footsteps). Overall I expected more from this brand hotel & don’t think it was good value for money.
