You may have seen my previous review which was about a breakfast that we had been very disappointed with. Following this review, Heidi the owner of the Crown and Anchor contacted me. Her customer care could not have been more professional. Clearly this was an unacceptable experience and she wanted to do all she could to put things right.
Well I can confirm that we rebooked and have had the most wonderful complementary meal today. All of the food was amazing (rack of ribs), staff excellent in every way. I can honestly say that other companies could learn an awful lot from this ladies customer service. Thank you Heidi we will continue to recommend The Crown and Anchor to family and friends.

Went with friends today as heard good things about the food, so thought we would give it a try! So pleased we did, food was amazing, staff were lovely, and refurbished restaurant really nice! Will definitely recommend!

I went there last night with a friend... very pleasant evening. lovely lass called Charlitte served us. the food was perfect, and , as a cook by trade I can be a little difficult to please when eating out. very happy, well presented, fresh vegetables too... made sure I got hold of the Christmas menu too before I left... we will be back

Got taken here on Sunday 25th September, for a Roast dinner, absolutely wonderful food, brilliant Vegan menu as well, staff really welcoming as well, will become a regular.

Popped in with a friend. Quite often been to the sister pub, the Crown and Anchor, but decided to try this instead. Well, well, what a lovely surprise.... I'm a cook by trade and can be a bit of a pain when eating out, but this places gets 100% from me. Pleasant lady Charlotte, served us. Food was perfect, yes, perfect, good flavour, fresh veg, and presented well. Made sure we got a copy of the Christmas Menu on the way out...oh yes.... we will be back... fetching others with us too.....

Under new management. The pub looks fantastic (best it’s looked in years) and the garden has some lovely areas for children to utilise.
The staff are very welcoming and the food is well presented, tasty and reasonably priced.
So excited to have this refurbished pub with lovely staff on my doorstep. Will definitely be back!

There was a wonderful atmosphere and the staff were warm and friendly. The food was excellent with very generous portions, there was no waiting the staff were very attentive. I wish I lived nearer it would be great to have as your local but we will definitely come again. Thank you.

We ate here yesterday evening, the whole experience was just amazing 🤩 great service, friendly staff recommending food, which I went for the minted lamb burger, it did not disappoint, so much flavour, melting in your mouth, homemade food, absolutely delicious and the pub is so picturesque just stunning, will definitely be back 🥰🥂🍾😘
