Went for Mother's day and wasn't disappointed. As a vegan family we were pleased by choices on the menu. Food was hot, fresh and delicious.
Everyone cleared their plates! We didn't have room for dessert but there was 4 options, and all sounded pretty good.
Lovely staff and service too. Will definitely be returning soon.

Fantastic A++! We are a family with 5 children, on birthdays or special occasions we go out for a meal and to catch a show in one of the local theatres, we called up the Crown & Anchor (knowing of their great food and happy service and great reputation) to book in but they were fully booked, they suggested their newly owned sister pub The Alexandra Arms.
We booked and its was great, the food was fantastic, more restaurant quality with a friendly pub feel. The staff are all happy and helpful with locals popping in for a quick drink whilst walking their dogs etc (felt more like a village pub)
As you can read we all enjoyed our time there and look forward booking in again soon!

A great dog friendly pub. We were made to feel very welcome, great atmosphere. Our dog really enjoyed it too as they gave her a treat and a bowl of water 🙂. Will definitely be going back.

Fantastic, friendly pub - comfortable, clean, welcoming with good selection of vegetarian and vegan food. Great pint of Harvey’s; some board games for kids and dogs also welcome. Thoroughly recommend

Went for the first time for a Sunday lunch with my family today, everyone enjoyed their meals. The pub was warm and staff were welcoming. We were all quite stuffed after a starter and main. I had the Pork Belly with roast potatoes, it was great. Will definitely visit again.

With my mum we had a great experience visiting during lunchtime. Firstly, the pub smelled of clean, which you cannot really tell about many others 😉 and the service was excellent, from being greeted with a big smile to the service at the table which was superb! We had mash and sausages, roast beef with potatoes and a portion of cheese cauliflower. Everything was delicious and the poetions were huge so we couldn't finish... we will definitelly visit again if in the area!

Good food & large portions. Limited menu but the options have something for everyone. Average prices.
Lovely setting and dog friendly, which is always a plus. They make a fuss of the dogs, rather than just tolerating them, which is the main reason we'll be back.
Would be great if they could have a small doggy menu with some chicken and rice, and a bowl of water like some other pubs 😊 no complaints here though - fabulous place overall.
