This place is so lovely deserves to be number 1. We came on a Sunday night early and were greeted by the lovely waitress.
I had the clam spaghetti which was fresh, delicious and lovely. My partner had the sea bass and loved every bite.
Didn't really have room for dessert but tried once anyway. The Nutella pizza was sooo good I almost finished it.

Came here as a family recently for the first time and we all loved it. Staff very friendly and the food was delicious. Portions were quite small but big enough for us. Will definitely be coming back here.
and just a tip: if you get the pizza nutella for dessert, make sure you share it with someone because it's big, the menu should recommend that it's ideal for sharing!

Visited the restaurant for a family celebration they couldn’t have been more helpful,caring and friendly.The food was excellent,,well served, catered for all tastes and dietary requirements.The staff were a delight.

Have to disagree with many positive ratings of this restaurant. The food was reasonable, but a bit pricey. The service was very slow, causing my lunch to take a lot longer than I had planned.

Came here with my partner for a romantic evening and we weren't disappointed. When we got there we were immediately greeted with a smile and showed to our special seats. About minutes later we were given bread and a bottle of water. We ordered from the set menu which was only £10.95 for 2 courses. We ordered garlic bread with mozzarella and prawn cocktail which came within 5 minutes and was absolutely amazing (best prawn cocktail I've tasted). We then ordered pizza and rigatoni with tuna which again came very quickly. Very good portions, the pizza was very big and fresh from the pizza oven. ( Again very, very nice) The mini patisserie was also very good. Highly recommend this place, the service was sublime and the food was amazing. Not too pricey either for the portions you get. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will be back.

I went there for dinner with a friend, the food was very good, the service very efficient and friendly.
All of this came also at a very reasonable price.

Every time I eat here the food is always very good. Normally have pizza but last week I tried the octpus starter and the lamb chops, amazing!

I visited this lovely family feel restaurant the other day.
I am a vegetarian but look for vegan food when I dine out, just my thing. The waitress expressed some concern and asked if I was intolerant to anything, gluten etc. I thought this was excellent service and not leaving anything to chance is commendable.
I was served free dips and bread....come on...you cant argue with that!!!The atmosphere was nice and chilled. They had a big mix of people, incliding some with learning dificulties, and you would have hardly noticed.
I shall of course return....just expand the vegan choice please...its on the up and up.

Visited during Airbourne weekend and enjoyed an excellent meal in relaxed surroundings and supported by friendly, knowledgeable staff.
One of the group has a food allergy, but this was not an issue for the team, they knew their menu, were able to amend the meal choice to suit the allergy.
All in all and excellent evening. Would certainly eat here again.

I don't remember how many times I ate in Anema & Core, but still not enough to make sure to taste all the tasty food it offered.The staff working there is lovely, polite, friendly and they do their best to make sure the customers experience is as positive as it can be.
The only remark?
It may happen that you won't be able to eat in this restaurant, without a previous booking because everyone wants to eat there. So if you want to avoid missing a meal, you had better call the restaurant and book a table...
...What are you waiting for?!
Ps: if you are “tiramisù lovers” you must try their homemade tiramisù...it’s absolutely delicious!!

My cousins came from Naples Italy , wanted to eat italian authentic pizza and italian food , so all 9 of us went there . They could not believe how fantastic And Friendly it was , from meeting and greeting to sitting and eating . AMAZING... it’s as good as and if not better than restaurants in Italy . I would recommend this place to any one , in the evenings book so you don’t get disappointed . The Frito misto of fish was to die for (all different sea fish fried ) OMG . you must go there. Fantasticoooooo.

Not somewhat, but entirely a legend, when telling friends and family you’re going for dinner at Anema e Core in Eastbourne there is a very good chance that everyone will respond with a resounding and enthusiastic (plus a hint of jealousy) “Anema e Core” It’s amazing/I love it there/you’ll love it”. If you haven’t been before and go for the first time, The first thing to note is to book – before walking inside, overhearing the manager explain to two hopeful diners they’d have to wait 45 minutes for seats (and hearing them eagerly accept) gave us the impression this was going to be a dining experience worth waiting for. This, along with the strong smell of truffle wafting out onto the restaurant, drew us into the buzzing capsule of Italy that is Anema e Core. if someone is capable to write something bad about this place, you can Certainly see it is fake review coming from those places around that call their selves as ITALIAN RESTAURANTS.. Eastbourne has some “okay” italian food around, but real, authentic and good, only Anema e Core.
