Lovely meal at this family run restaurant, great service wonderful food and wine highly recommend the lasagne! The only place I have had pizza like this was in Venice, totally Italian and the whole experience was just like being back there!

First time here today. Stumbled upon the place whilst trying to escape the crowds in town. Very calm atmosphere and, perhaps most importantly, no Christmas music belting out of the speakers.
I was dining with my wife, as well as my two small children. My children were made to feel especially welcome. The staff made a fuss over them both, and were happy to entertain then by pulling funny faces as my wife and I perused the menu.
Then the food came. This place just continued to impress me. I ordered one of the Calzones and it was huge. It was accompanied by a delicious tomato sauce, a chilli infused oil and some pre-grated parmesan cheese in a bowl. I had already been provided with a special pizza knife and set about tucking into this magnificent feast. I had a very happy tummy by the time I was finished.
This place ticked just about every other box too. The toilets were clean and well stocked. There was an outside area but, since it was December, we ate inside. The tables were roomy and the chairs were comfortable. The only slight niggle was that there are some steps that have to be negotiated upon entering the restaurant. They were fairly easy to overcome with a push-chair but could potentially pose a problem to anybody with mobility issues. That said, I didn't investigate any further and there might be another entrance or something. I'm sure that the staff would be willing to assist in any way that they could buy it could be worth calling first if you have any special needs that need to be addressed.
Well done to all of the staff. You're clearly appreciated by your employers and this came across in the genuine level of excellent service that we received today. Thank you all very much.

Booked ahead as a surprise for my husband for our anniversary while visiting Eastbourne. I asked for prosecco at table when we arrived. We were greeted by friendly waitress who congratulated us on our anniversary took us to our table in a quite corner with candle light a lovely romantic feeling. We shared starters had pasta mains and shared the dessert. Food was very authentic and there was plenty, everything we chose we loved would visit here more often if we lived in Eastbourne. Such a welcoming family run place. And mustn't forget the homemade lemon flavoured shot we got as we were leaving... Amazing thank you all for special evening.

Had the lunch here today. It was quite sunny and hot so we sat at the patio. Really felt like sitting on some Mediterranean restaurant.
Had the 3 course menu lunch offer. Even thinking they keep their options quite simple ingredient-wise, you can taste the quality and love they put into cooking them.
Best tiramisu I’ve had in a long time.
Definitely will go back.

We booked for Anema e Core after seeing the good reviews on TripAdvisor and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is cosy, the staff friendly and the food delicious. We shared some starters, all had pasta mains (carbonara, salmon tagliatelle, wild boar ravioli) and some desserts. The mains were all delicious, the desserts not as good but still tasty - my aunt and I both had pannacotta which tasted delicious but wasn't the right consistency. We were served quickly and their house white was also very nice and at a good price. I would go back there definitely if in the area again and try the pizzas.

Although a little late for lunch we were welcomed warmly and served impeccably. The set lunch menu was agood indication of the full menu.
The starter and main that we had were delicious, and the house wine showed that it had been selected by someone knowledgeable and wasn't too expensive.
The service was prompt but not intrusive.
