Went on the back of the positive reviews and was not disappointed. We received a warm welcome and relaxed but attentive service throughout our meal. Great menu and proper home cooked Italian food - very fresh and well prepared. Our children were also made welcome and a good kids menu. There was a comprehensive wine list but have to say that the house white was very acceptable indeed. The greatest surprise was the bill - felt they must have left something off but turned out just to be fantastic value for money. A lovely meal in every way - if we lived in the area we would certainly become regulars.

This is our 5th visit to this amazing Italian restaurant. A very nice welcome from a lovely family. This Italian food is the best We've had. I had a freshly made pizza with a topping of tomato base , mozzarella,cured ham and basil.My wife had a spicy sausage risotto.For dessert we had Nutella pizza with a dusting of icing sugar.This was finished off with a complementary shot of delicious limoncello .

What a great place. Very traditional trattoria with great food, wine and service. The gnocchi with gorgonzola and walnuts was amazing and the Italian Sausage pasta was lovely. Everything tasted fresh, was full of flavour and not overcomplicated. Just perfect, really. Highly recommend and shame we live 100 miles away or we would be back at the drop of a hat!

I am Italian but i live in England from 2 years and I can say that this restaurant is a real authentic Italian Experience. I have been here several Times and never been disappointed, so that i took also my family visting from Italy and also they Said that this is one of the best. We tried a bit of everything and it was Great. The Carbonara was one of the best i ever had and the pizza was amazing.

... you crazy diamond :-) We had a wonderful evening in this little gem of a resaturant. We were greeted with a big smile and shown to our table by a very friendly young lady. Our waiter was charming and courteous. As we had never tasted the house wine before we asked to taste it before ordering a bottle. This was not a problem at all. Our food was excellent and the lovely Lia, who is the daughter of the amazing chefs (who just happen to be her parents) was attentive, amiable, knowledgeable and very passionate about what she does. This was a wonderful experience - Grazie Mille!

a group of 3 and we had the rigatoni al domenica, the rigatoni con fungi and gnocci with gorgonzola with walnuts, everyone's meal was divine and we kept stealing from eachothers plates. To top it off the service was fantastic and the staff were so friendly. Really reasonably priced for the quality you get.

The reviews for this restaurant placed it at No 1 in Eastbourne at the time we visited and whilst we had no major complaints about the food, service or venue I really struggled to see why it is rated so highly. Despite the Cotoletta di Pollo being very dry, it was a reasonable two course meal, with cheerful service for £30.00 per head including wine and coffee. However, I was not as stunned as I hoped to be. Maybe it was just an average Saturday night.

On a side street in Eastbourne and opposite chain type restaurants you will find the Anema E Core, a true Italian run by Italians with food the way Mumma used to make, down to earth Pizza which I could not finish, coupled with a glass of Italian Red wine, you just can't get much better unless you fly to Napoli, Love this place.

Only had one night in Eastbourne so chose this restaurant based on reviews and our love of Italian food. Highly recommend-one of the best pizzas I have ever had (and I eat a lot of pizza) - The wife said her veal in a mushroom sauce was pretty special as well.

We then ordered 3 different mains (bigger portions to share) so that we could try more things as everything on the menu looks so good and it actually was especially the home made ravioli. Everything was impeccable from the food to the service
I have read some of the negative comments and I really don’t understand them: how could you possibly say that there is too much tomato and mozzarella?!?! That’s because you are only used to fake Italian! So this is not the right place for u as u will only find authentic Italian food!

My husband and I ate at this restaurant last night for our wedding anniversary. My husband had the risotto and I chose the veal in mushroom sauce. Contrary to a review a few days ago, the veal was very tender and the sauce was lovely. We both chose the pannacotta for dessert and it was the best we had had outside of Rome. The staff were friendly and attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Wish we lived nearer and could make this our local Italian but we were on holiday nearby. would recommend and will return if back in the area.

Went as family and guests for a birthday celebration and was really disappointed. The pizza chef was clueless and the whole experience was average. Pomodoro e Mozzarella is far superior in food and service and cheaper.

Love the food here, myself and my wife worked in the area of Italy the owners are from and I have to say authentic doesn’t do the food justice. The service and welcome are amazing, the owners are so welcoming you couldn’t ask for better service. If you love Pizza try the Calzone, OMG heaven, yummmmmm.

We have been there for dinner tonight the atmosphere is fantastic the owners are always ready to go the extra mile for their customers and food is fresh and authentic just as mamma in Italy would cook!
