I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend for a romantic meal! It couldn't be better! We had a lovely table in the outside terrace which was very good during this hot weather! We started with some Aperol Spritz as aperitif, a perfect Italian start! Starter were delicious Fritto Misto and Selection of Italian Cheese and Meats perfect to share! For main we had Lamb ragu rigatoni and Seafood spaghetti both amazing! The wine from south of Italy was very good and well presented by the lovely waitress! Tiramisu was just out of this world!! It was an amazing experience!

We tried lots of restaurants in East Sussex and this is still the best restaurant and you know why? It is not just freshly cooked from scratch, but it is amazingly tasty and full of savours.Fully recommended !!!

Very warm welcome from this genuine family run Italian restaurant.The selection of mixed starters were delightful and more than impressed my vegan brother in law.All the main courses were delicious and my sirloin steak was one of the finest I have had in recent times.The pizzas on the next table looked delicious too.Price was very reasonable for the exceptional quality.Also the restaurant had a better covid policy than others we visited in Eastbourne.

Second best restaurant and I think that was our problem. We were expecting something exceptional and it was quite normal.
The staff was really nice from start to end. We had lasagna, capricciosa and garlic bread. Everything was good but as others Italian restaurant, nothing special in the menu qualified like a signature.

Super restaurant. One of the best pizzas I’ve had. Rest of group had variety of pizzas and pastas and all were highly impressed. Lovely staff and very covid secure.

We just had dinner in this nice italian restaurant. The food was very good at a reasonable price and the quality very good as well. The pizza is Naepoletanian style with different choices and one of the best I ever tried, maybe the third best.
The service was efficient and the waiters very polite and professional. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I say it was a surprise as Google Maps gave me this place on closing day, passing in front of it, we see that it is open and we decide to enter. Difficult times these of Covid-19, the locals try to take measures with the new directives, at our entrance we find everything perfect, the staff with masks, we also have them entering, the disinfectant available, but then the friendliness and the Italian warmth embrace you. The menu does not present an infinite list of dishes, and this gives me hope that the recipes are all prepared at the customer's request, even if we have to wait a little longer, the quality is much higher. We ask for two fried appetizers and two pizzas, one margherita with buffalo mozzarella and the other with nduja. We were not mistaken in our first impression, all excellent, even the fried were perfect, light, tasty, the fried pizza brought me back to Naples, but the best was the pizza, the REAL Neapolitan pizza, with a high edge, soft, perfectly leavened with the right ingredients and cooked excellently. Chatting with the girl who served us, we learned that it's all family-run, she serves, the father makes pizzas and the mother in the kitchen. To my English friends, I would like to suggest you forget the many pizzas eaten in the many Italian-sounding places around the United Kingdom and approach this pizza with curiosity. You will discover the authentic flavours of the best pizzas you could eat in Naples and Italy. I want to say a heartfelt thanks to the owners, we have found a piece of authentic Italy in your restaurant and we felt your commitment and the big heart that you put in every dish you prepare. I will definitely come back, you have entered my top list!

I love this place. Lea and her family are incredible. I'm so happy they survived lockdown and continue to apparently flourish. I lived in Italy for a while so, to have a small, family run restaurant in the centre of town that is every bit as good as anything I ate in Italy is a true privilege. I've been three times now and everything has always been perfect. Food, ambiance, cleanliness and service are always spot on. To boot, the prices are incredible. I promise, you'd generally have to travel to Italy to get this kind of quality. Thank you so, so much for bringing some Italian magic to Eastbourne.

My family and I visited this restaurant in late July and were impressed with the care and attention this family-run business is giving to make diners feel at ease given the continuing Covid-19 outbreak. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed what we ordered, pizza, ravioli and risotto. The Gavi di Gavi is also highly recommended and was beautifully chilled for the warm summers evening. Do not be fooled by the exterior of the restaurant; this is a classic case of not judging a book by its cover. Thank you Anema e core for helping us to feel something close to ‘normal’ in these challenging times, we wish you the best for the rest of the season.

Lovely staff, amazing pizza - not a huge selection but that doesn't matter as the quality is brilliant. Accidentally ran into it on Friday and thought we'd try it out. Were not disappointed, pizza was made and taken out to us within 10 minutes of ordering. Admitedly business looked to be low given the whole coronavirus do but that didn't stop the loveliness of the staff. And they sell cocktails to take out!!
Pizza was around £8 each, drinks about £2 and cocktails were £5.

What more can be said about this true food heaven? Ordered four different pizzas since they reopened after the lockdown and the quality of them has reached unparalleled levels.
Also, we tried their parmigiana bytes and we were literally stunned by the freshness of the filling and crunchiness of the breading.
