Basic rooms at a good price, the higher you go floor wise the hotter you get. Ask for a fan.
Breakfast was really good, veggie option too.
Restaurant was ok as was the bar, staff all very friendly.
Back there again for work. For cheap n cheerful in a great location work a look

Took ages to get our room keys. Have been here several times before and there has always been
Some form of entertainment in the evenings, there was nothing on Friday, a keyboard player for 2hours on Saturday and nothing on Sunday. Food not so good as it usually is.
Will think twice before going there again.

Waited an hour after check in time for room . But i would rather wait for a clean room in a pandemic than rush them. Really friendly staff . Can't do enough to help you out . Well turned out comfortable rooms and spacious. Value for money .

This was my third recent stay at a Coast and Country hotel and each provided a very comfortable stay and represented excellent value for money. This Eastbourne property was no different and I found the staff to be very helpful and attentive. My room overlooking the pier and seafront was spacious and well equipped. The three large sash windows offered splendid views and good ventilation. There was little or no noise except for the calming crash of waves.

didn't have the best start. Check in was 3pm, room wasn't ready until 3.30, but I didn't find it to be a big issue.

We stayed in the family room with a sea view room 312 ( in case anyone interested), you get 2 rooms (1 double bed and 1 single bed) with TV's in both rooms, shower and tea/coffee.

Location is amazing, 10 mins walk from center and 2 mins from the pier (not much to do on the pier unless you like arcade).

We didn't have breakfast or dinner at the hotel, so can't really comment on that.(£10 breakfast pp and £20 dinner pp), had amazing meal with 2 of my kids in Italian restaurant 5 mins walk from the hotel for £50 including drinks, 2 course and tip included (so do the math).

Age group at this hotel is mixed with family but, lots of old people which we didn't mind because they're just mind their business and we were out all day, so not an issue.

There was nothing special in the evenings, but they are plenty or bars and restaurants nearby.

Overall great stay, despite being worried about some of the negative reviews we booked and had a lively time, hotel bit old but not bad and friendly staff.

Arrived very early and parked in the hotel car park. Reception noted our regd. number and asked us to return after 2 pm to check-in. Great location on the Grand Parade, close to the pier. After a stroll through the town in blistering heat, we got our luggage from the car , There is a handy rear door access opposite the car park so no long trek round to the front door. Reception, restaurant and bar areas were impressive
Check in was easy and we proceeded to our room. The lifts (supposedly for 4-8 people were about the size of an old phone box! They looked in need of refurbishing, as did the corridor. Our room was large and almost brand new (I suppose you get more or lass what you npay for) I'm not in favour of selecting the cheapest room and expecting luxury. We paid for the best available. The furnishings, pictures and bedding etc. was first class. The view across to the pier was very acceptable, especially as the three large sash windows opened a couple of feet each. The paint on the frames was a little past it's sell by date ,but who looks at paint when the sea view is perfect. The room was very obviously decorated recently, in muted and relaxing greys. A full wardrobe with security safe, a decent espresso machine, kettle and assorted coffee and tea saches were provided. Strangely, only one smal packet of biscuits and one complementary bottle of water was provided in a double room. We asked the evening receptionist for a second bottle but were told to get it from the bar (she didn't bother to come forward from the rear office area , preferring to shout from her seat at the back). Having been told at check-in, that if we required anything, the reception team would be happy to provide it, we were a bit put out by the attitude of "get it yourself".

When we returned to the room, we found that the door to the en suite did not close and the door frame was falling to pieces with the hinge screws coming adrift . It was hard to understand why this hadn't been fixed, surely the last guest would have reported it?( reception said "I'll make a note of it") Not to worry, we popped the bin behind the door and whistled!

Unfortunately, while that was manageable, the shower was not. The water buit up almost to overflowing the base. When the water finally leared, the shower bas was left with a film of skin and hair. This couldn't be cleaned of course, as the water just built up again. ( reception said " it's an ongoing problem with the drains". The toilet drained perfectly well, possibly into the same system, as did the sink!. When the shower tray water build up was agitated to assist clearing, the most awful brown sludgy mess erupted from the drain. How long it had been lurking there, or who it belonged to, God only knows. The room should not have been let , with such an obvious "ongoing" hygiene risk.
To recap. The reception/ bar/ and ground floor public areas looke fine. The upstairs and lift public areas were shabby. The room was as good as it gets. The ensuite shower and door were disgraceful. At £220 plus £12 parking for two nights, the least we expected was a good shower in the morning. The staff were efficient and helpful, except the lazy one who couldn't be bothered, she let you down. PS, How about providing a fan in your most expensive rooms, even a Travelodge manage that. How much happier we would have been ,without the ensuite problems.

I stayed a week at the hotel and the staff were fantastic. DANIELLE IN THE bar always went that extra mile, and the other staff always helpful with a smile. Sue in the restaurant and all her work buddies every day made us feel welcome, giving 5 star service. The food was lovley, and the rooms were comfortable. I would stay there again for sure. Thanks to all the staff at the Burlington Eastbourne for making our stay a very enjoyable experience.

My wife and I have been coming to this lovely old hotel for a number of years. We were apprehensive about returning due to an ownership change, but our week’s holiday exceeded our expectations. Our superb bedroom with a partial sea view was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The dining experience for our half board stay had improved significantly. The customer service, quality and variety of the meals, both for breakfast and dinner, were outstanding. This improvement in the level of standards has been achieved by the hard work of the new manager Wayne and his dedicated team. We were also very grateful to the dedicated senior receptionist Ivonne, who helped us with our pre-holiday booking advice and support throughout our stay. Her professional and friendly customer service team included Ricci, who provided us with additional help during our stay.

Great couple of nights stay @ the Burlington, despite reading some bad reviews. Ignore what you may have read & go see for yourself l. Had 2 lovely waitresses over the weekend, Sue & Tracy who couldn’t have done more to make our time there special. Both polite & very accommodating. Breakfast included was great too, nothing was too much trouble.

Not the greatest hotel but did most things and the important things well. It would be a 7 out of 10. The hotel conforms to the general description of a once great hotel that sometimes struggles but still gets the basics right.

Check in was fast they encourage on-line check in in advance. The staff were friendly and professional in all areas. The room was spacious and light with a comfy bed with plenty of wardrobe space. You are warned on arrival about staffing issues that may mean room service is lacking. Our room at the back was noisy at the weekend. The next street has an entertainment stage blasting out live music. Great if you like Elvis/Adele covers!

Breakfast is very efficient with plenty of choices. Thank God uni's are off for the Summer as I'm not sure that breakfast would happen due to lack of staff. The breakfast room displays a touch of Victorian glamour. The bar area is large but can have its tone lowered by the odd drunk local lowering the tone.

The location is great, right by the pier and the front facade is well maintained and rather grand. However, the general air of faded grandeur prevails in a lot of areas, particularly the lifts. (Take the stairs as the staircase is impressive).

Would not be that enthusiastic with the prospect
Of a return at £100 a night for a weekend double but overall had a good stay here.
