Great cinema, very friendly staff, HUGE screens and amazing surround sound.

Wide variety of drinks and snacks including Alcohol.

Only negative was it's freezing in the cinema which I overheard others saying at the end.

Really great cinema with a cosy feeling. Lots of space so social distancing can be well maintained, really recommend coming.

Prices reasonable, staff friendly, covid safe. Seats allocated to individuals or groups ensuring space between people.

I normally use a different cineworld but due to my car breaking down I decided to go to Eastbourne as it’s directly opposite the train station.

I’ve got to say I didn’t enjoy it here. So the film was good and the staff are friendly but that’s all.

I found the place an overload on the senses. As soon as you get in there’s ridiculously loud music and the rooms are illuminated with odd coloured bright lights.

Once I got into the screen section I found it difficult to find the loos. Turns out if you’re in screen 7 they’re over the other side.

In the screen the seats are nice and comfy it’s just the awful foyer. I work with autistic people and i definitely wouldn’t take them there as they’d have a meltdown!

i had an amazing experience. and i also got given a two free extra large drinks of my choice because it was my birthday.

the escalator was broken at the start of the opening but i can see why because they did just open up.

Staff... staff was very approachable and understanding. they always say sorry for the long waits for the early birds like me.

Food... popcorn was delish I ordered 1 salty and 1 sweet and the both satisfied me. GET DOEN HERE NOW :)

Having attended the gala night I really enjoyed my visit. First time in ages I did not have to squirm around in the chair to get comfortable or peer around the person in front of me.

Sound quality and visuals were excellent.

Hate the bright red and blue fluorescent lighting. So over the top and unnecessary. I can't wait to get into the darkness of the Screen and so have no idea what food and drink is for sale, as I can't bear to stand in the lobby longer than I have to. On the plus side the sears are comfy, access to seats is excellent, Screens quality is great, sound quality is great. Lovely experience apart from the lobby lighting.

First time back seeing Tenet with covid-19 restrictions. Wear your mask folks, staff come in to check and enforce the rules! Great film, very fast paced. We were entertained! The new James Bond 'No Time to Die' is advertised as coming to cinemas in November 2020.

Was surprised as told had to wear masks in foyer to see at least 6- 8 young people( approx 18 - 28) who were not wearing them. Member of staff who served us popcorn and the member of staff taking tickets all wearing them and very helpful and pleasant. Feel so bad for them that as of Friday Cineworld are closing again due to lack of film production.

First time visiting since moving from the crumbles but I loved it! It was a nice small screen room. Pre covid, max 100 people (in screen 5). I much prefer it this way. Covid measures are fab!

This Cineworld is located at The Beacon in Eastbourne town after moving from the crumbles in the harbour. It is a much better cinema than before as you can now always see the screen due to the Raked seating.
Before in the crumbles 70% of the time you could not see the whole screen this is not a problem what so ever now. Nice seats and sound systems such an upgrade. Would have been nice to have added a Imax screen.

Have only given an average score,as unlike the photo of Cineworld at The Crumbles, which Tripadvisor has not updated to Cineworld at Beacon. You could park free of charge and pretty much always find a space and be within a minutes walk of the cinema and be in your seat within two minutes. The current situation is completely different, you can spend twenty minutes or more just looking for a space to park your car at busy times and are charged £1.00 per hour for each hour until Six o'clock and £1.00 for the remainder of the day.Being a Cineworld unlimited member and avid film goer this has cost me £6.00 in parking ,to view the films i have wanted to watch just in one day.The only relief from this charge is on a Sunday when the parking is free of charge, but it is equally as difficult to find a space.Having found a parking space it is then a ten minute walk or more to the screens, involving waiting for a lift at the multi storey car park and negotiating two escalators with a few minutes walk in between each.Having negotiated all of this on arriving you have to collect your ticket and climb another set of stairs to your seat.I will say the screens and sound are great and seats are comfortable enough, although some of them seem to be suffering from issues already. Personally i think upgrading the Crumbles cinema would have been a far better option and far more friendly to all ,particularly the Disabled who i know now struggle to have one of the simple enjoyments they had.

Pros:
Clean

Cons:
Costly parking before 6pm
Lots, and lots of walking
Lots of escalators
Lots of steps
Bright glaring lighting in the foyer
Expensive to watch a film
Awkward angle for viewing if seated in the rows nearer the screen
Costly drinks/food

WE HATED IT - WE SHAN’T GO AGAIN

Why Eastbourne Council did you allow this to happen? A perfectly good cinema at Sovereign harbour closed and this move has also caused I believe the Curzon to close also.
Sovereign harbour had free out of town parking and a multiscreen cinema on the level.
To get to the new one you go through (at night) a deserted shopping centre, up several escalators to get to check in. Then (at least for screens 6&8) you have to climb up a steep rake to your seat (3 steps for each row)
Plus points - friendly staff and the sound is good.

Love the lobby area and decor. The seats are really comfy and well staggered so even small children without booster seat get a good view. The food is expensive and queues can be long but both fairly standard for a popular cinema. Super experience seeing Frozen 2 recently and would recommend to others.
