Came in on a Thursday evening on off chance. A quiz going to be held and nearly all tablets reserved for the evening. Made to feel very welcome. Had high table to sit at but staff all made us feel not inconvenient. Thank you.Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5

Called in for Sunday lunch while on holiday with daughter and grandchildren aged 3-11 years. The Bar staff was very welcoming. Children had food on the children's menu. Large portions for children but they have great appetites. My daughter and I had roast beef. The veg could have been cooked a bit more as a bit on the raw side. (I am a chef myself for the last 30 years).

The staff work their socks off here.Such a well run establishment. This is how pubs should be run. Lovely food I had the roast and my daughter had the burger. One of the nicest pub roasts I have ever eaten if I was being picky the broccoli could have done with 3 more minutes cooking but that can be forgiven. This is an exceptional pub with wonderful staff and good quality food. Well done to everyone who works here.

Only have the pie if you're a fan of food swimming in masses of strange oily gravy. The cabbage (we think) had a congealed mass of it on I'm not sure how long it had been plated up before it was served.
