At other zoos I have visitied the animals are in small enclosures and they pace up and down looking unhappy. But at Drusillas the animals had a lot of space and seem really well looked after and engaged.

The park are really interactive as well, we got involved with all the animals and learnt about their feeding habits, where they are from and where we can see them in the enclosure if they like hiding (sneaky little red pandas).

All in all this is one of the best days out we've had in a long time, and we would definitely visit again, and is only about 20 minutes away from Brighton centre which is really convenient.

Thanks Drusillas!

Brilliant place! Couldn't fault it at all. Everything was clean and well kept. We have been going for many years and every visit is more enjoyable than the one before.

Had agreed day with the kids but the restaurant is over priced and not very good we had hoped for better. Would advise finding a pub nearby instead

We visit Drusilla's at least once a year, but always during the summer. We were very pleasantly surprised at the whole 'winter' experience, and will definitely come again at this time of year. The Christmas theme was lovely, and really got us into the Christmas mood (we visited 23rd December). My kids didn't want to visit Santa (little cynics), but the area around Santa's grotto was decorated beautifully. The kids spent hours in the outdoor play area, and also loved the Hello Kitty world, and Thomas the Tank Engine. The meerkat tunnel was an animal favourite, as well as the farmyard. We had a very nice, and reasonably priced, meal in the restaurant. It was a lovely sunny day (until just before we left when the heavens opened), and it wasn't crowded at all, so probably the nicest Drusilla's visit we've had.

Had a lovely day with friends. The children really enjoyed it, especially the outdoor and indoor play areas. Food was good quality and reasonably priced. The Thomas train was a real hit too. Was lovely to see the Christmas lights. A good variety of animals to see, well looked after and clean. Looking forward to visiting again as it looks at though they are redeveloping certain areas. A full day of fun for all the family.

Been coming here for years although this was the first time in a while. My children are getting to the upper age limit of this place now but they loved the Hello Kitty stuff that has been installed since we were last here.

I took two of my grandchildren to see Father Christmas and the Winter Wonderland today. I was meeting my daughter and three more grandchildren there. Disappointedly we failed to connect for more than two hours as the phone reception was awful...both of us left text and ansaphone messages which didn't get through for more than three hours. Probably can't blame Drusilla's for this but when we did meet up it was a relief.
Disappointment two came when my granddaughter wanted some chips. I ordered a large chips so we could share. The paltry few chips were less than you get in a Macdonald's happy meal so I queried this and after they measured them told me , yes, this is the large portion....and quite expensive they are for very little. When we went to the restaurant for lunch the portion of chips was huge! Why the difference?
The present from Father Christmas was lovely but boring when you saw that every child received the same gift...our two knew what they were going to get by seeing everyone come out with the same thing while we queued. Christmas gifts are enhanced by the surprise element surely? If it's the same for everyone why bother to wrap them? Other than these quibbles the children enjoyed their time there, loved the husky dogs and the usual Drusilla offer. Come on Drusilla's don't be mean with the chips,I am a member and support your work but little bits of meanness after spending lots of money on entry fees leaves a bad taste that I don't want.

Interactive park/zoo, we live far away but have travelled here the last two years with our daughter as she loves it, there's lots to look at and do to keep children interested. Great day out!

Joining Drusillas as members for self and daughter has been one of my best investments so far as a budget conscious single parent.
It's got such a cosy atmosphere and we absolutely love visiting the animals , especially Gibbons to see how their little baby has grown! It is clean and looks well run , they seem to be constantly trying to expand and improve the attractions yet it stays friendly and small .
There are lots of activities for kids like rides and face painting , some is extra to pay but this is clearly marked., and plenty of seating for weary visitors so you have the opportunity to zonk out if you need to .
The cafes are varied and aren't that cheap (members will get a discount ) but there are heaps of comfortable picnic areas , not like those places that get all funny about you bringing your own stuff. You can get delicious Doughnuts for a treat and there are coffee places too.
It's not cheap by any stretch , but we had previously visited once in a while (every couple of years !) , restricted by the cost.
After deciding to join this has freed us up to visit on a whim whenever we like , it has saved my bacon on those 'what shall we do ?' skint days when I can just about afford to drive over there and scrape a packed lunch together !
We enjoy it more because there is no pressure to enjoy ourselves unlike when we have paid loads to go somewhere , and they send out special offers like bring a friend for a fiver , so we can kid daughters friends we are loaded ;-) !
I 100% recommend following on Twitter as you get last minute deals as well as info, say , if the car park was not accessible due to mud .
The Halloween attractions were fab especially the 'mummy' running around and we have really enjoyed the Christmas lights , hug a husky etc ! And we always love the Hello Kitty house !
Well worth a visit , you will love it !

I had heard that Drusilla's was good, but I still went in expecting to be underwhelmed. "Small zoo", "no unusual big animals, no elephants, no tigers. I've seen this all before I thought.."

Whilst, yes - that is all true - I have never been to such a well presented, well organised zoo. My two sons (2 and 1) never stopped smiling and because of that, we (1 adult and 3 grandparents) didn't either.

I would thoroughly recommend this zoo, particularly to those with young children.

Why?

- happy, playful animals
- interactive elements throughout
- all animals visible and lots of ways to view them
- fun cages that look more like homes with plenty of space, toys and tunnels
- plenty of baby changes and toilets, frequent and all clean
- pushchair access excellent throughout (we had double buggy)
- tasty food at good prices and plenty of searing and highchairs
- short queues even in peak times
- extras like Thomas the tank engine, indoor and outdoor playgrounds and toddler friendly rides in hello kitty

Negatives

- I couldn't find a souvenir I liked and everything in souvenir shops seemed overpriced

Fantastic selection of animals. Although I hate to see animals in cages, they are well looked after and Drusillas is doing a good job of saving endangered species such as Lemurs. The staff love the animals and their job. Good place to spend the day looking at the animals and it is less busy during the week. Support this worthy cause.

We visited for the Winter Wonderland at Drusillas and to meet Father Christmas and we were not disappointed!

Father Christmas was amazing and spent time with each child and was very friendly. The present alone was worth the £10. The lady with the Huskies was lovely and really knew her stuff.

Staff throughout the whole park especially the catering staff and the food was great.

We are members, go regularly, whether an hour after school or a Saturday/Sunday morning play. Became members 2 years ago, have certainly had our money's worth in that time. Staff are always friendly and welcoming, nothing is ever too much trouble. My little man lets off all that steam. They always make Christmas that extra special magical place, this year no exception. Thank you to all management and staff for all your hard work.

Drusillas staff went above and beyond to help me find a replacement toy lemur for my daughter who had lost hers. She got it on a past visit.
Drusillas is always friendly clean and very child friendly.
Excellent

I took my nephews to Drusillas to see Santa and I was pleasantly surprised. I was shocked at the pricing to see Santa at first, but after seeing the amount of effort which was put in and how magical they made the experience, made the pricing well worth it. The present they got was lovely as well! They played with them for the rest of the day. The zoo was really good, there was a lot for young children to interact with, like the stamping on the book when they see an animal. After the down pour of rain, we ended up going to the indoor play area, Amazon, where they were playing for two and a half hours! It was brilliant and the kids didn't want to leave. We got lunch at one of the cafes and was pleasantly surprised to see the reasonable pricing of the food. The food was fresh, great size and tasted lovely! I expected to pay a lot more than £20 for four meals. The £1.99 unlimited ice cream went down a treat! It's just great to be able to treat my nephews and not feel like I've been robbed at the end of the day. Despite the rain we were there from 10-5, definitely well worth the money! We'll be coming back here again.

I took a large group of secondary school students (years 10 to 13) to Drusillas Park to research for their Leisure and Tourism coursework.
We were met promptly in the car park by James who was friendly and welcoming, and had a schedule set in place for us, as we split into three groups.
We had an excellent and informative educational talk by James, who personalised this with some additional details that we had requested. We also participated in guided tours around the park allowing us to see all of the features and facilities, including the Hello Kitty Secret Garden and the Thomas the Tank Engine train. Not only did the students enjoy themselves, but they also managed to gather all of the information that they needed to complete their assignments.
I would recommend this for any school or group trips.

We took the grandchildren to Drusillas on 21 November so we could see the winter wonderland switch on and visit father Christmas. We all had a lovely day, when I saw the price to see father Christmas it did make me pause but after seeing the gift the children got and how much effort they had put into the whole Christmas theme it was well worth the money, it was a very magical experience for all of us. The lights were beautiful when they were switched on and the show was just right for the children to watch and even us adults. The zoo side is an absolute delight to go around with books to interact with the children so they feel involved with the animals and other activities that involve the children to participate with. The play area inside amazon and outside was excellent for all ages to enjoy, and the refreshments in this area is good value for money. Thomas the tank engine train was another favourite with the children and it run all day, and hello kitty was also endless fun. The staff at Drusillas were happy and helpful which I found is a nice change from other places I have been and we found the whole day excellent value for money and would not hesitate to recommend to others and we will be returning again .
