I visited this amazing park on the 6/8/14 with my 4 yr old granddaughter, my son in a wheelchair and my husband. We all had a great time. We got all of the stamps on the way round the Zoo, took part in all of the zoolympic's, this kept my granddaughter interested in the zoo and animals. She as a little scared of some of the big play equipment in the play area. We didn't find the smaller stuff until after we moved on. We all got to go on Thomas as there was a carriage especially for wheelchairs. We had planned our trip on a day that Hello Kitty was in residence. My Granddaughter loved the experience of seeing her and having her photo taken with her. We only waited 15 mins to see her. We also used the paddling pool. The shops were reasonably priced and we all left completely exhausted after a fantastic day. I would say the best attraction for children I have ever been to. Brilliant day

Lovely zoo and park but a little overpriced, we paid over £60 for family of four. I didn't like the layout personally.. just one route so crowded and noisy. I found it hard with my littlest having to trek a long way through lots of animals that he lost attention with before getting to a space where he could run and play. Then on reaching the playpark it was huge and hard to keep track of two children. I would've liked it far more had the play areas been split up and interspersed with the zoo part more or alternative/ freer routes round the zoo. Found the Hello Kitty Garden a little disappointingly small but loved Thomas and the bats were amazing. We did have a good day.. the animals look well cared for and happy, the cafe was decent, staff friendly and helpful, just felt a bit penned in at times.

We had a lovely day at Drusillas today 7/8/2014. My Grandson also had his face painted. The Bat photo. But this evening Bathing him and washing the paint off he has a rash come up under his eyes. Just wondered if anyone else has ever had this :(

What a fantastic day we all had at Drusillas yesterday. Very impressed with all members of staff in terms of how friendly they all were and how they interacted with our children (particularly when our 5 year old asked plenty of questions on the Thomas railway!)

I felt that unlike some parks with character associations you are not trying to 'milk' your customers, a very refreshing change!

Having read mixed reviews I can only say how we found it. A great active day out. Our grand daughter loved all the animals and birds as well as the rides and other activities.
Picking up a spotter book she loved spotting the animals and recording them with the stamp provided.

This is great for younger children say under 12 and although no big animals there is a large selection of animals, reptiles and birds and they do have a small breeding programme for endangered species. Not the cheapest but I think value for money if you pre plan and take a picnic or sandwiches with you.
Will be going back as our grand daughter loved it even more than her first trip that was with her school.

Drusillas is absolutely fantastic for kids. It is the perfect blend of been a zoo and a children's play area.
There is a plethora of animals and viewing areas for children (big and small) which resembles a small zoo. The playing areas are huge!!! They cater for toddlers with the soft play inside and the older kids with a gigantic assortment of climbing frames, ropes, slides etc...
There is ample places to eat; I personally recommend the indoor fast food restuarant. Fast food does not do this place justice though - all burgers, chicken nuggets were fresh - I was completely shocked and taken a back by this.
I have been numerous times and have loved every moment

Fantastic day out, plenty to keep our little ones aged 4 and 18months amused. Lovely clean facilities. Food was excellent and the staff all cheerful, friendly and helpful. Will definitely be recommending to my friends with young families

It is better to plan to spend the whole day here as there is sooo much for kids to see and do. Not only do they get to see lots of animals but they can take part in spotting them and they get to put a stamp in their book every time they see whatever animal it asks for. There are also lots of quizes and games along the way - dare you to put your hand in the 'box' ! There is a lovely large fun park and also small paddling pool so don't forget to bring their cozy/towel and you can watch them play safely while eating your picnic or you can treat yourself to their cafe. Watch out for the Hello Kitty park - it will be difficult to get your kids off! But at the end of the day you will have some happy and sleepy children :) I was there with kids from the ages of 7 to 17 and we loved it - very good value

We'd a wonderful day out for my son's 3rd birthday.

It's unusual to see a park like this targeted at a younger age range. It's small enough that we could walk around it over a day. But crammed full of activities and sights.

Tips - bring swimwear if it's a hot day. Don't go on what you expect is a busy day. We rarely waited at all to get on rides, order food, etc. But I suspect the queues would be shocking on a busy day.

Took my niece for her 5th Birthday and she loved it. Lots of interesting small animals and a few rides for her to enjoy without the great queues you get at the bigger parks. Bit disappointing that you have to pay extra for a couple of the activities like the slide but all in all a good family day out. Take a picnic lots of places to sit.

I have visited Drusillas many times with groups as a teacher and now as a mum. It is always a great day out.
I recommend using Tesco Clubcard to purchase the tickets and taking a picnic. There is an ample picnic area. On our recent visit we spent hardly anything.
I have been here with groups of children age 9-11 and now with my 4 year old niece and 2 1/2 year old daughter. There is something for children of all ages.
It is so well thought out. The children love the 'zoolympics' and the 'spotter' books.
The animals are well looked after and there is just the right amount.
The play areas are brilliant. Take swimmers for the little ones on a hot day as there is a little splash pool.
My little girl loved the new addition of Hello Kitty's Secret Garden. Great little rides for the little ones at no extra cost and with hardly any queue.
She also met Peppa Pig that day so she was chuffed.
I was disappointed to see some people give poor feedback as it is completely undeserved. If you are sensible then this is great value for money.

Value, fun, great entertainment, great animals. The best zoo and fun park I have ever visited! A must if you are in the area with young children!

What a fabulous family day out, there's so much to do you've got the wonderful zoo to walk through first, with lots of hands on activities to do for the children, then you've got the amazing adventure park which I would say is suitable for 18 mths - teenagers then you've got the paddling pool for the youngsters at the end, plus there's lots a few places to eat from burgers & chips to a lovely sit down home cooked food restaurant. What a wonderful day out for the family. + if you book on line the day before you will get a little discount. Definitely recommend it. Regards jacnvic

Personally from a parents point of view this place was much better than we expected, which is always a bonus!

For a family of 4 it cost us £66 which is very fair when you see how much is on offer here.
We started off in the zoo and got a booklet for our kids to spot the animals then stamp the book, best idea i've seen in a zoo it really got them more involved. Think my only downfall would be the beginning when you have no option but to walk indoors for a little bit and it got very overcrowded until everyone went different ways.

We took the short cut (which wasn't on the park map) and got straight onto Thomas which was good idea as come lunch time onwards it was always busy. It was a lovely short ride around the park, we then went to Hello Kitty land which was fantastic and both kids loved it.

We had some lunch from cafe which was an order service that called your number out, very quick and great food with average cost. The outdoor play areas were amazing and huge, catering for both young and older children. Also had a very large indoor soft play which was spotless just remember to bring a spare socks if your wearing sandals.

The toilet areas were very high standard and well maintained. We went to walk around the zoo after lunch and was lovely to see a different selection of animals, we do get bit fed up of seeing 20 types of monkey. Teletubby hill with guinea pigs was a big hit for myself, and throughout the zoo was little tasks for the children.

Our last place to try was the small lagoon pool, it was rather empty first thing in the day and at the end but inbetween always busy. Our kids really enough it for a cool down on the hot day we visited.

Just before we left our kids got some temp tattoos which i wasn't expecting them to stay on long but after countless showers and swimming pool they still look as they did 4 days ago.

Massive thumbs up from us!

Although a wet and soggy day when we visited the kids had a great time and loved the play area and secret garden. As it was wet there where no lines of people so this made life a lot easier. The kids 2 & 3 years old, found plenty to keep amused in the zoo and the activity areas tired them out. A good day despite the weathers best efforts.

This is a great little zoo (which they have expanded) for kids, everything is on their level and every effort has been made so that they get a good look, there is also a petty zoo. They provide talks, activities and the zoo Olympics are good fun for the whole family. At the end of the zoo is a great play ground for children, a Thomas train ride, paddling pool and much more. I recommend this to anybody. PS: The staff are great

As a member I cannot fault the park itself however having recently had our second child I took both children in our double buggy for a family day out! Majority of the park is spacious and we were able to negotiate the buggy with ease however unfortunately the double buggy does not fit into any of the toilet facilities. I spoke to a member of staff about this as I had to use the disabled toilet at the front gate, leaving the door open behind the partitioned wall, but they informed me all the facilities would have the same size doorway! So i either have to visit the park with another adult, or keep my fluids to a minimum so I dont need the loo! I will also be unable to use the baby change facilities. I haven't encountered this anywhere else as yet so was disappointed to do so at our local zoo. Please create a bigger doorway for us double buggy users!

Our whole family absolutely loves Drusillas. It has so much to do for most age groups - we have 3 children (18 months, 5 years and 8 years) and we've been coming here since our oldest was a toddler. We love the Zoo (so many different types of animals, reptiles, aquatics etc), and the lemurs and meerkats are always a favourite. The outdoor adventure play area is fantastic too - again it is suitable for all age groups as they have an area for very young children, and then an area more suited to pre-school and then also apparatus that is perfect for older kids. And the Thomas Tank Engine train ride is a must every time we come. There is so much to do that you could easily spend several hours here. The latest Hello Kitty attraction is a huge hit (loving the tea cup ride & car rides!). Good food outlets too! We'll always give Drusillas a big thumbs up for being one of the top attractions in Sussex.

What an amazing day out we had yesterday at Drusillas, from the moment a friendly and efficient member of staff took our ticket, our time was fully occupied, and no more money to pay out. We took two of our Grandchildren aged 4 and 20 months. They both loved the Hello Kitty rides, indeed, they each had four rides on everything in the area, the Hello Kitty cars being the favourite. Because an adult had to share a car with each child (great fun), we actually had 16 rides (between us) on one ride, imagine how much that alone would cost elsewhere. We loved the Thomas the Tank Engine ride, and all the play areas, which include so much wonderful equipment the children did not know which way to turn first, it was all so exciting. The Zoo was impressive, clean and fun, educational and laid out in such a manner was easy to see all the animals. We did wonder if the park would be too crowded as it was such a hot day and there were school groups enjoying their end of term outing, however because there is so much to do there were no queues anywhere. Before we came home we took the children for their favourite Chicken Nuggets and Chips at the café in the play area, the staff were brilliant and the nuggets were far superior to anywhere else we have taken the children. The final stop was a treat from the shop, where I was impressed to see lots of things for children to buy at pocket money prices. Well done to the Management and Staff, we will be telling our friends where to take their children and Grandchildren this Summer, and what tremendous value for money Drusillas is.

This is my favourite attraction in Sussex. It doesn't matter if you are young or just young at heart Drusillas has something for everyone. From squirrel monkeys to porcupines. If you want to have a great day out then you can not beat going to Drusillas. If your a child you will have a great day out and if your an adult you will have a great day out and feel like your a child again. The restaurant is full of lovely food and at reasonable prices. There is a great play area for the little ones and a fun barn too. Before you go don't forget to have a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine.

We had such a brilliant day here with our 4 year old son. There is so much to do. The zoo aspect in itself is SO good - you get to see the animals really close up and it is very educational in an interactive way which held our little boy's attention for an unprecedented amount of time! No mean feat in itself! !! But as well as the zoo there is the Thomas train, huge outdoor play area - kind of like an enormous adventure playground, soft play, Hello Kitty's Secret Garden, water play and just so much more. It us very easy to spend the day here - and worth travelling for... We just love it! One request though to the staff... The toilets weren't TOO bad but nowhere near as clean as some attractions I have visited recently - please spend some more time on this - then it will be even more of an amazing place to visit.

We all had a great time at the Zoo. Plenty to do for young children and older ones too.
Lots of animals to see, and rides in the new Hello Kitty Secret Garden, along with a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine.
Plenty of places to eat and drink - we had lunch at the Explorers Cafe. The fish and chips was delicious and nice and fresh.
Although the Zoo was fairly busy, it didnt feel that way.
Lots of play areas for children

Booked our tickets online to take advantage of the discounts. Had a wonderful time even in the rain, we took 2 3 year olds who were amazed by all the animals, the hands on activities and loved the stamp stations to tick off all they had seen. The staff could not have been any chattier/friendly and the on site food was reasonable with loads of picnic sites. So much to do there!! We will definitely return again, especially as one of the staff was kind enough to lend us her jump leads as my silly hubby left the lights on the car all day. Brilliant day, brilliant staff brilliant place to visit!!
