I took my grandson last weekend. It was a great experience.... Everything was planned to make it a fun, family experience. The place was clean, great value and had a quality about it that has got lost in some other venues. My grandson can't stop talking about it...

Beautifully kept, with a main play park and then smaller children's play parks dotted around the grounds along the river walk and a mile long train ride around the lake

Fantastic place for kids. My daughter enjoyed this place. Apart from toy train, there are many other areas for kids to enjoy.

Great value for money. My 2 and 7 year old loved it and we enjoyed a lovely afternoon there but could have spent longer. I would recommend the unlimited train ride ticket too.

We were so excited to ride all the trains and said to the girl we want to ride them all and a few times so we paid for the unlimited only to discover there was one train only running for the day! It pissed me off that she did not say there is only one train today so then we could have just paid for the one ride.

Aside from that, it is a fun place for kids with a huge play park, there are picnic tables, bathrooms, a shop, a little cafe place for food or you can bring your own food.

So yes it is lots of fun for the family but ask how many trains are running first so to avoid the disappointment when everyone is looking forward to riding 3 trains and finding only one is running.

This is what all family days out should be like. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon riding the train and exploring the play-park and lake. The entire site is immaculate, all of the staff are friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed lunch freshly prepared on-site with generous portions. It is rare to visit somewhere the offers such good value for money, and I can't recommend Eastbourne Minature Steam Railway highly enough.

Fantastic and v fair pricing. V impressed by up keep and standards. Trains are brilliant (my son told me) and you don't have to leave via the shop which is a nice touch. Will visit again!

My 3 & my 7-year-old thought the trains were amazing (their mum too!) and the playground was really good both for little ones (there's a gated part) and bigger ones (the maze kept my 7-year-old busy for the best part of an hour)... We liked the little exhibition w model railways too and we didn't even walk around in the other parts. It's not big but quite cosy and good for some hours fun and independent exploring... would get the last star if they had more than one station ;-)
