Have taken the grandchildren here a number of times. They all love the train rides. Also the play areas and walks, maze and grandma's garden. You can take a picnic or buy something to eat there. There is also a gift shop. Take some 20ps for the model railways.

This little minatire railway is hidden away under th Sussex downs . It's superb for all children under 12 . Also ok for slightly older but the whole theme is for young ones & based on the Thomas the Tank emgine stories.

Well worth getting an annual pass for £13 . Single visits £7 .

Enjoyed our time there

A really fun day out. There was loads to do, lots of play equipment for all ages and well spaced out along the nature walk.

Food was good and really reasonably priced and even children who aren't that interested in trains would enjoy.

I would suggest shorts or trousers to ride the mini railway as you straddle it rather than sit inside.

Shop even sells baby wipes in case you forget/ run out.

Visited with two young kids - 3 and 6. Weren't sure if they would want more than one ride so bought a single family ticket. They let us upgrade to unlimited rides with no fuss and not a big extra cost which was lovely. Kids loved it. The whole place is immaculately looked after - including the miniature train station - and there are lots of play areas and a nice nature walk to occupy the kids with between train rides. There is even a nice little maze which the kids enjoyed. Plus friendly helpful staff. Can't fault this place. If we lived nearby (we are on holiday) would definitely get the annual tickets. Highly recommended.

We took our grandsons aged 7 and 5 here yesterday ..we arrived at 10am thinking we would be there for an hour or so and we were there for over 4hrs!We had been before so knew what was there. The sun was shining and the boys just ran around ,went on everything .The train ride was fun and there is more there than you think which you see going around the lake.
Most of the time for our boys was spent on the climbing bars, they loved it.
Although we are over 60 is was cheaper to get the family ticket which was really good value for money.
We had lunch there which again was very reasonable for a family attraction.
Also the toilets were very clean always a good sign.

We looked this up online and thought it would be a great day to spend with my 3 yr old niece. We got there and said we wanted the all day rides as as we were planning on riding all the trains a few times. The right thing to do at that moment I think, would have been to say to us that there was only one train running but the girl did not so we went on in and don't get me wrong, it is a great place, the train ride is fun, the playground is great.... it is a great place to spend the day with kids BUT as there was only one train running, we did it twice, spent 20 minutes in the playground and left.

When visiting, just make sure and ask how many trains are running before you decide what ticket to purchase.

I love this place. It was only the 2nd time I've been but from the moment we were greeted at the entrance by a very friendly member of staff, we knew it would be a good day. We took my 4 year old nephew. The main attraction is the train that we went on 6 times. Buy an unlimited journey ticket and it's worth it. You can get a season ticket which is worth buying if you live nearby. Having a train ride as soon as you arrive let's you see everything there is to offer around the park. So much that we didn't have time to do everything. We were here from 11 until 5. The big play area is really lovely, lots to do and a separate area for toddlers. There are smaller play areas on the nature walk which I think is a great idea to keep the little ones interested. All the staff were so friendly. The train driver and his guard are on duty all day long which can't be easy on a hot day, but it didn't affect their professionalism with the kids. You can buy food here but most people seemed to have a picnic and there are lots of picnic benches with shade if you want it. The whole place looks clean and well cared for. We had a slight incident at the end of the day with my nephew getting his figured slammed in the toilets doors, but the first aid lady was straight out with an ice pack, the accident book and a caring smile that put us all at ease, so thank you!!! Absolutely would recommend and can wait to go back.

We took a 2 year old boy who had a whale of a time, the railway is lovingly maintained and a treat for kids of all ages, it's also a good place for family picnics, the upgraded unlimited travel ticket is value for money as are various slot machines at 20 pence reflects the fact this is a family run business run for families.

This is nice day out, it caters mainly for young children and I don't think would appeal to over 10's. That said it has a lovely lake walk and picnic areas. Quaint little train rides that little ones love. There is a modern clean toilet block and a nice cafe with only outside seating (some are under a canopy) large ship with the usual overpriced gifts designed to catch overtired children on the way out but that's honestly no different to any other amusement place to be fair.

we had many years taking our young children to the Steam Railway, a season ticket allows you to access the park etc whenever you want so great for picnics or to blow off the cobwebs after school. Great train rides

This is a great place to visit with kids of all ages! With the main attraction being the train ride itself, this park also includes a number of other attractions from an adventure playground to a Maze and secret garden, Definitely worth a visit. We arrived around 14 and spent three hours there easily. Three rides on the miniature railway was enough but you can buy unlimited rides.

We visited here as part of my niece's birthday party and had a fantastic time. There is plenty of picnic space and play ground areas for the children with a small cafe, drinks kiosk and shop. There is also plenty for grown ups to do by way of a nature walk and maze and the train! Prices are reasonable and it's definitely worth paying the extra £2 for limitless rides. We were made to feel very welcome and if we lived nearer we would have bought the annual pass as I feel we'll definitely visit again when we're visiting our nieces.

My wife and I took our 2 month and 2 year old here yesterday. The entrance charge for an adult (£5.25 I think) is about right and offers a ride around a gorgeous lake on one of their miniature locomotives. There are also miniature train settings to enjoy, kids play areas and the grounds too. Overall and very enjoyable experience.

Spent a couple of hours here. Would have stayed a little longer if the weather was better. The children enjoyed the train rides, the playgrounds, the maze and the model train sets. Thought the prices were reasonable. Would like to see another track with a slightly different route in the future to add variety but I was impressed that the locos were actually working steam engines and the kids could experience the smell and the steam and the soot. Overall the place is small but it seemed well looked after and clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly. A good morning of activity.

What a great place to go with your little people! My grandson never tires of going here because there's so much of interest for him to see and experience and it's excellent value too.

I have nothing but admiration for this family run operation, since it offers so much old-fashioned style entertainment and appeal.

You enter a world of miniature steam locomotives and railway style buildings and can't help but admire the attention to detail in signage and facilities. The play areas have seen constant improvements and expansion and offer youngsters of various ages outdoor adventure equipment, lakeside walks and even a maze.

Apart from the toy train sets and display engines, you can hop on the frequent circular train ride that takes you around the lake, through a tunnel and over bridges - all good fun. Only downside is that they don't run the steam trains during the week, except in high summer and kids of all ages are attracted to steam engines!

The food and drinks are well provided for and the prices are good, as is the well-stocked gift shop, and even the toilets are kept surprisingly clean and well maintained.

The business seems to be well-run and the grounds are well maintained too, albeit with some quirky exhibits and garden features. I would guess that most of the work is done in-house as it would prove uneconomic to bring in contractors on such a scale, and good luck to them, it must take a lot of hard work on the upkeep of such a big area.

And the bonus is that we can watch the fishermen around the lake and experience a lot of wildlife whilst picnicking at the provided tables. Finally, I have to say what good value it provides, so much so that we've renewed our annual membership and it's the same price as last year!

The train ride was short and sweet and the rest of the park a little short on real adventure.
However nice enough for our 3 year old grand daughter who enjoyed it all.

The railway park is excellent value and the kids love it. Every year something is upgraded and the par is kept really well. The children and adults love it and it is a place where you can let the children play without fear. The staff are always really helpul and it is always busy. A lovely setting too with the added bonus of the happy, waving children on the trains.

Spent the afternoon here with our 1 and a half year old - she absolutely loved it and so did we! The site is not overwhelmingly big for little ones, and so many slides and climbing frames and Wendy houses...and the maze! Brilliant fun! The whole place is so well thought out and every area is as good as the next. We Loved it and would 100% recommend

You need to be a bit of a train lover to really appreciate the attraction in full but it's full of little surprises. The train ride itself is great fun, and accessible to all ages. There's a lovely nature walk and plenty of picnic areas and a really good range of adventure playground areas for different ages. The attention to detail around the park is really good and it was very clean and tidy. We loved the gnome garden!

Ideal place to take children/grandchildren as there is plenty to do as far as activities and when they tire of this you take them on a miniature train ride and then have a picnic. You can stay all day so it is good value for money.

A fun time out with the grandchildren. However, not cheap! Unless you have a season pass and then it makes it worth while. Food can be a bit pricey picnic the way to go. The rides and wonderful round the lake and you can walk the circuit too which is terrific fun. the Play area is wonderfully put together. Foudn the glass cabinets with the miniature railways a little expensive a 20p a go when you have four grandchildren!!! but great fun.
