This is a great place for kids aged 10 and under. It has a lovely miniature railway running round the whole park. There is a small café at the start with a large playground with lots of slides, swings, roundabouts and monkey bars etc. for the kids to play on. Then you can leave the playground to go on a walk around the park. It is quite a large park, with 3 small playgrounds dotted around along the way. There is also Grandma’s Garden & Maze, I which is a lovely garden with a maze. I would highly recommend this place for groups of kids, and is a lovely day out.

One of our favourite places to visit, 7 year old still loves it, great for children with SEN as not too busy and lots of open space to run around.

Lovely few hours exploring the area around the lake, the large playground and of course ride on the miniature railway.
Will visit again if in area.
P.s. expected weekend during school holidays to be packed, but there was plenty of room on this sunny day :)

Our first time here and it was really good fun! The miniature train was really fun and faster than expected. It’s outside and uncovered so prepare to get wet if it’s raining!

Lots of playground equipment for children to play on.

It was raining when we went so we didn’t stay too long. I’d probably only stay there an hour or so anyway as once you’ve played in the park & ridden the train there’s not much else to do.

Outstanding! Truly fantastic! This is a great experience for big kids, sissy kids, kids who climb on rocks. Top notch staff, trains and the train is fantastic. A-shame not all the robotic display trains were out of order but still top notch and we will be bringing in laws, friends and anyone who will listen to us to visit next.

Lovely place to visit with young kids and grandparents! Ticket entry includes 1 trip on the miniature train but you can buy additional trips. There is a huge adventure playground with lots of different slides and climbing things. There are also plenty of picnic tables and you can bring your own food or pick something up at the cafe. We spent a couple of hours here and my 2 year old was exhausted by the end!

We love this place. It is so well maintained and looked after. The play parks and walks are excellent for small children. The steam train is great fun and my children love the maze. The cafe sells sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Overall it is great value for money, we have annual passes which are even better value if you live nearby..

We enjoy visiting the miniature steam railway 🚂 with our grandchild who also enjoys visiting the adventure 😀playground and grounds with rhe train rides the only criticism we have is the extra charges for every time to go on the train ride instead of the unlimited rides which you could buy when entering the grounds I understand that the pandemic has had a lot to do with upsetting all business but would hope that when the business get back to normal and the foot fall improves that the unlimited chare for the train ride would be reinstated and its good value for the 💰 that we will be back again

The kids loved the little houses in the toddler area. The steam train ride was a lot of fun and the two drivers were full of smiles each time we had a train ride. The park area was great fun for the kids. A lovely day out. The price for an extra train ride could do with being a bit cheaper.

This place is actually pretty good. Adults are around £7 and kids under 3 go free. With each adult ticket you get 1 free train ride.

On arrival I realised that there was only one train running but I thought we had a choice.

This feeling of disappointment was quickly quashed as i saw there was only one line which alone kept my Thomas the tank engine loving son extremely occupied throughout our stay.

Good fun, frogs, fish, birds and a maze.

What else can you ask for?

Bring 20p’s for the little trains.

There was so much more for the kids to do than we expected. A several great play areas, the maze as well as the railway. Although it was really hot there were plenty of shady areas. The boys (6 & 3) had a really great afternoon.
