Really excellent Victorian Pier that has had extensive and sympathetic restoration. Still a work in progress.

Very windy. Something is missing at the start of the pier ? But haven't been here for years so maybe it's been like it a while but lots of seating there. Couldn't walk right around at the end of the pier as blocked off, maybe for maintenance? Still places to eat and get an ice cream. Free to walk on. Male and Female toilets under the pier, 20p in the female toilets so I was informed. Lots of parking close by on the sea front, pay &display meters, even though it may be a bit of a walk. £2.50 for 4 hours is still good.

Iconic pier that is free to visit. The current owner should be complemented on restoring an old monument.

Had an afternoon tea here and as an over sixty it was funny to be one of the young ones. It was a glorious day which helped a great deal. Cakes and tea were good but you're paying southern coast prices. Not excessive though.

Nice place to spend a short evening stroll around and in the Eastbourne pier. There is nothing much to do other than taking a nice stroll with something to munch like handmade ice cream from fresh dairy. There are some game parlours and fun for the kids with some pubs and restaurants on the deck.

The pier is said to have burned in 2014, that is
I don't even know the old one. Such piers are typical of coastal towns in England and I don't think they're that bad. Eastbourne pier is dominated by amusement arcades. I didn't find that that interesting. However, there were also a few souvenir shops and a fish and chip shop at the beginning.
You could definitely take good photos of the beach and the city from the pier.
It's worth stepping onto the pier to take a nice photo.

Shame some of the shops on the pier had shut. Not much for toddlers to see and play with. Games machines all for older kids.

At this time of the year, there's not much to see but what there is, quite frankly, is quite tatty.
