Absolutely gorgeous mezze lunch at very reasonable prices. Everything was prepared and cooked to perfection the chicken was so tender!we couldn't fault the meal at all. The service was so professional yet friendly. Everything was completly spotless too which was reassuring in these new covid times. Supporting our local family run establishments is so important right now, and we can't wait to come back again.

The food was good, and a lot of food for the money. But the mixed meze had a few dishes that were a little too similar to each other. The rice was a little disappointing, tasted like Uncle Ben's

We really enjoyed our lunch there today. We just wanted a light lunch that was tasty and not expensive. My husband had meatballs with carrot and potatoe mash, and I had chicken souvlaki with salad and chips. Both were outstanding. Lovely service. Would highly recommend the place!

Superb fresh cooked takeaway meal from our preferred Greek Restaurant for miles around. Looking forward to a chance to dine in again in about 10 days time. Live music available of special Greek nights, or other preplanned events.

I just found my review not submitted so it's a bit late. We visited in August as a couple and again in November for a family party for which we had the downstairs room (and Greek dancing). On both occasions we had excellent food and service with plenty of choice on the menu and generous portions. It is essential to book in advance if you want to guarantee a seat - it was really busy even on a Weds evening. We have been disappointed several times because we haven't booked. Looking forward to our next visit but will be glad of the takeaway in the meantime.

It is easy to see why this place is top of the pile of Eastbourne, while nearby restaurants were more or less empty on a recent cold Friday evening, this place was packed to the rafters and justifiably so. Food was fantastic, service was great and atmosphere brilliant. And it was unbelievable value.
Our party all settled on the Meze which came in just shy of £21 per person. As a group we were a mixture of vegetarian and non-vegetarian. For that we had bread and dips, Greek Salad, hot and cold starters, mains of vegetarian moussaka and mushroom stifado along with rice and fries with meat skewers and beef stifado for the meat eaters. Followed by baklava for dessert. I have to say there was not a bad dish amongst them but particularly loved the taramasalata, the spinach and cheese parcels and the vegetarian moussaka. All washed down with a nice cold Mythos beer. For such a busy place, the service was top notch.
Cannot recommend this place highly enough, this place is even better than many places we have been too on our frequent visits to Greece !

This is the best restaurant in Eastbourne by an absolute mile, the staff and really friendly and attentive, food is nothing short of perfect, I come here as often as I can when going out for a meal with friends and family and highly recommend it to anyone.

Shut your eye, sniff and you are there. At you favorite Taverna, eating just the best food. Washed down with wonderful Greek wine.

Visited last night with a group of 6. Half vegetarian, half not. Service was prompt, albeit it a little rushed. That said we had been warned that last orders were at 920pm, and arrived at the restaurant at 910pm so can't complain.
Starters were a combination of dips with homemade pita and calamari. The dips were excellent. The pita was warm, crispy and fresh. The highlight however was the calamari. Extremely light batter, and perfectly tender calamari. Congrats to the chef on this one!
For mains we shared the chicken souvlaki which was very well cooked, and the lamb chops, again, which were perfectly tender and well seasoned. All in all a great dining experience and would definitely recommend.

We visited this restaurant after looking for recommendations on trip advisor. Would say it's the best Greek we've ever had! Staff friendly, food great quality and plenty of it! Would recommend the meze for an authentic taste of Greece! Even though we live in London we will be returning soon with the whole family!!

We discovered Gr/Eat in 2017 and were very impressed. We revisited yesterday for lunch and it is still great. We have visited Cyprus and Greece many times so we are particular about Greek food. The quality and value at Gr/Eat are hard to beat and we will be back again. We recommend the meze.

I went with my colleagues for a belated birthday meal and the service was quick , efficient and not too intrusive - they hit the balance of checking but not too much absolutely perfect. The food was well presented , delicious and lots of it.
