A fantastic find. Very friendly and welcoming staff and the food was amazing. I recommend the Greek salad, the feta is amazing. The owner treated us to some Saganaki which was an extra treat and truly benefited from the fresh lemon. The Souvlaki, chicken and pork, were both tender and tasty and the fries were just too nice. We’ll be back again soon.

What a pleasure, being taken out by my family for my birthday.
From the moment you walked in the warmth of the greeting & the enthusiasm of the staff was only surpassed by the quality of the food.As there was six of us we decided to go for the Meze.
That way you get a bit of everything & it doesn't take an hour to put your order in, time everybody mucks about & changes their mind about what their going to have.Well the food just kept on coming what a treat. Thoroughly recommend a Meze for a big party that way you can choose what you want at the table & what you don't want somebody else will & visa versa
Definable will go againCost with for the six of us with beers, wine, liqueurs & coffee £180.00 & that would have been a lot less if we hadn't had so much to drink

The food and service is excellent with a large choice of dishes. The staff are very helpful, friendly and tentative and are keen happy to bring courses at a pace to suit you. A good menu and not too expensive. However the restaurant is not cosy, a bit cafe’ ish and noisy, hard light and little atmosphere

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd visit to this restaurant. Have to think of good reasons to visit Eastbourne again as we are not local! Many thanks to all the staff who are extremely hard working and friendly.

I personally have never been here before but that will definitely change after today. We had the best lunch ever. Great choice of excellent food and the Greek wine was superb. What value it was as well. Staff friendly and the restaurant was clean and light. I for one will be back very soon.

Fantastic food & very friendly staff. Great value & highly recommend . Had the mezze special shared between four & more than enough for everyone. Might need to book on a Saturday as we went in about 8 & got busy within half hour. Well worth a visit.

I love that this restaurant has such a lovely, chilled vibe. I’ve been to this restaurant for my own birthday and recently for my grandmothers birthday. The staff sang happy birthday to her with candles in the dessert! Such a gorgeous atmosphere. Thank you!

This is my new favourite restaurant BY FAR in Eastbourne. Outstanding food, lovely staff, amazing chef, great cosy atmosphere. I had Halloumi starter and it was beyond delicious. Followed by Chicken Souvlaki - very juicy and tasty and the portions were HUGE! Rest of family had lamb chops (10/10 apparently) Moussaka (10/10) my kids had the Sausage and Calamari starters & both had Lamb Shanks and ate their dinner for the first time EVER and didn’t complain once I am looking forward to coming back again and again. Ps. The food was better than the three times we went to Greece!

We ate lunch here after reading positive revues on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. Staying in Eastbourne in a rather mediocre hotel this was a very pleasant change. I am gluten intolerant and was very happy with the extensive choices available to me. The starter beetroot salad was of generous proportions and delicious. My main course of chicken skewers moist and delicious with home cooked skinny chips and a salad garnish. My husband was equally pleased with the tzaziki and bread starter and vegetable moussaka. We had ordered a Greek salad to share which was not really needed but very tasty. The house wine was very palatable and the Greek coffee so good that my husband bought a packet! Service was friendly and efficient. Not particularly speedy which is to be expected when the food is freshly prepared but the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed - and the wine had arrived.

We have eaten at Gr/eat regularly since we first visited Eastbourne two years ago.
Maintaining a consistently good standard of food and service over time is something to be celebrated and in our experience only happens in restaurants where owners, chefs and staff are motivated and passionate about what they do.
Gr/eat serves lovely food bursting with fresh flavours which even on a grey autumnal English day speaks of white buildings, blue skies, and sparkling seas.
The menu includes excellent options for those who don't want to eat meat and very reasonably priced fixed price menu options. Go hungry because the portions are generous as well as good.
There is the bonus too in that they sell a range of products to take home - wines, olive oil etc.
So lucky that we now live within walking distance of this gem.
Thank you everyone at Gr/eat for being a consistent pleasure to visit.

First time here and it was marvellous. The Greek metze (vegetarian for us) was varied and super tasty; the service was terrific; and the atmosphere cosy and sociable. How I've not noticed this place before is beyond me: we will certainly be visiting again.

A crowd of us booked a table for the special Greek Night in October. Like normal the staff and food were first class.
The Greek Night is extremely popular and the restaurant was packed. Despite this, the food was still freshly cooked and delicious - and plenty of it - and the staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. There was an excellent live band playing (and singing) traditional Greek music which was lovely to hear and brought back fond memories of past holidays in Greece. An added bonus was that Vasillis displayed his dancing skills with pride and joy, inviting many of the diners to join him which made the evening even more enjoyable.
If you haven't experienced a Greek Night it is definitely worth doing as it's excellent value for money - but you will need to book in advance as these are always popular. Thanks to Vasillis and his staff for yet another fantastic meal and superb evening.

This was a bustling place on a rainy Thursday night, warm and lively. Friendly service, timed just right. Lots of lovely and tasty dishes brought to us as part of the mixed meze menu, spaced out as starters, mains and deserts - we enjoyed them all. Good fun, great value food and drinks, would definitely go again if in Eastbourne.

We stopped in here on Wednesday for lunch before visiting the Towner Gallery. While the weather was grey outside there was a lovely warm atmosphere inside.
Souvlaki is a family favourite after our holiday to Greece, so it was pork for our son, chicken for husband and I had the halloumi. The meat was cooked perfectly; slightly charred on the outside yet succulent inside.
What was also really good was that we had proper Greek pita bread - slightly salty, grilled, and far better than what we buy in the supermarket. Oh, and I had a Mythos beer too ... it was my birthday after all.
The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. I’d love to go back for an evening meal at some point.

I agree 100% with the other reviewers - this restaurant is lovely! The food is honest, happy and full of flavour, and colour! The Bougiourdi dish of baked feta with chillies and tomatoes was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant is very popular and was full when we dined early evening on Saturday so make sure you book in advance for a weekend dinner.

We arrived without a booking to an empty restaurant but on closer inspection could see that all the tables were reserved. Luckily we were quite early so the manager let us take a table for a later booking. They very clearly explained the menu and made some great recommendations. Despite not having a children's menu they were happy to serve some dishes in smaller portions. Within 30 minutes of arriving the whole place was full of happy customers. We loved it and would happilly go back.

Visiting Eastbourne for two days, we stumbled across this restaurant as it was near our hotel. It was so good that we came back the next night as well. The lamb was excellent and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the seafood. There is a lovely atmosphere there and the staff looked after us so well. A hidden gem in Terminus road it should be visited by everyone who goes to Eastbourne!!
