Excellent stay! An old and stylish hotel. Rooms have been upgraded to the latest standard and the ones with the sea/garden view are spectacular. The bed was a little short, but I'm a bit of a tall one. Tasty breakfast and friendly personnel. All in all well recommended, certainly for the price I paid! I'll certainly return.

Good value dinner b and b break at this old fashioned but moderised hotel situate in a superb location in Eastbourne.

The servive was good except for slowness in delivering main courses at meal including breakfast and dinner. Dinner menu not most exciting 3 courses with coffee but adequate.
Nice and pleasant bedroom with sea view as an optional extra cost

Live evening music somewhat old fashioned but suitable to sticks, wheelchairs and zimmer framed guests who frequent

Lifts are very small and slow but despite previous poor service experience from untrained staff this time has improved the standard

My wife and I had a fantastic 3 night Christmas break at the Hydro. The food was amazing and so much of it. The staff were all lovely especially the Crystal Restaurant. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We arrived at the Hydro hotel at 12.30pm on Christmas Eve and were given the key to our lovely room. At 1pm mulled wine and mince pies were served in the lounge. We were treated to a 3 day break with fantastic food, good entertainment which included local church choirs singing carols, various entertainers, quizzes and the great Santa challenge. The staff could have done no more to enhance our stay with a special mention for Hannah number 1! With regard to the previous submission, we are not over 80, not retired and definitely not incontinent. We have family but chose this break for many other reasons as did many of the other guests. We had a fantastic Christmas.
